Speaking of Chaozhou cuisine, one would always think of the congee and goose. And that's exactly what I had plus a couple of other stuff. So we ordered the famous chaozhou congee and tofu and most importantly --- goose intestine!!!!I am sorry if I gross you out but goose intestine is something that I would always try in different chauzhou restaurant and this is the best one Ive ever had. I am sorry if I gross you out but goose intestine is something that I would always try in different chauzhou restaurant and this is the best one Ive ever had. Some restaurant woud cook it for too long that the intestine would shrink so much that it tastes nothing but some sort of rubbery substance. But this place - they cooked it at just about the right time and flavour. Order the boiled intestine (i.e. if you are up for intestine) - the chewy and crunchy texture would definitely impress you. What I also like about it is, it's pretty much oil-free and is honestly a very healthy dish. While some other chaozhau dishes may be quite oily (the oyster pancake for example), this dish is really rather refreshing.
