I was having an appointment with one of my customers at Shau Kei Wan and he suggested that we should have lunch later on. Since he was familiar with that area and the weather was still cold, he brought me to a place known for their double boiled soups and seafood etc. 撈喜 was located around couple of minutes walk from Shau Kei Wan MTR.Besides their ala carte menu, they served set menu as well, which was pretty reasonable. Besides their ala carte menu, they served set menu as well, which was pretty reasonable. They offered mainly seafood delicacies such as fish maw, shark ifn, sea cucumber and abalone etc.
Double boiled shark fin & chicken soup - The soup was clear and very tasty, absorbing the essence of those ingredients in it. There were not much oil in the soup as well. Chicken was soft and smooth and shark fin was very soft too, melting in my mouth.
South African abalone lo mein - The presentation was done nicely, with several pieces of cut abalone at the side. Abalone was very chewy and smooth, like biting on chewing gum. Abalone sauce helped to enhance the taste of the abalone. Noodle was cooked nicely as well, chewy and smooth.
