Thai Simple Kitchen is a Thai restaurant located in Causeway Bay that has been here for as long as I can remember. But for some reason we never really gave it a try. Until one day, we noticed they had an afternoon tea menu that only cost $45!The restaurant is located on the roof of President's Cinema. The only way there is by elevator. Or walk gazillion flight of stairs. We took the elevator. The inside was very nice and spacious. There were a number of diners already there!The menu is in Englis

The menu is in English and Chinese. Everything costs $45 and comes with a drink with discounts for special drinks.
We just wanted regular Thai milk tea. This wasn't really good until we realized we didn't get any sugar syrup. A while later, it was provided for us. So, be sure to ask for this!
Boyfriend had the Dried Curry Shrimp Fried Rice. It wasn't really fried rice but more like a mound of white rice with the sauce on the side. I guess that is the dried curry? Plenty of plump shrimp was provided. The sauce was very spicy with a nice strong coconut taste.
I had the Pad Thai as it wasn't spicy. They did provide chili flakes but this was place on the side and easily avoidable or can adjust to how much spice you want. The noodles were a bit wet but had a good umami taste.
The food tasted ok. And for this price with a nice atmosphere, we'd probably be back.
