As always, I like to make a surprise to my boy on his birthday. I have been searching many restaurants for his birthday, finally I have chosen Felix in Peninsula. When steeping in the door of Penainsula, you could already feel the classic and elegrant. We passed by the lobby and took the private lift to Felix at 28/F of Penainsula diretly. We ordered 2 early dinner set. There were 3 course in the dinner set and you could pay extra hk$90 for a bowl of soup and hk$100 for 2 oyster.
There were 2 choices for staters in the dinner set, my boy and I just ordered each so we could try both.
Conf ill of Chicken Gizzard with Mustard Dressing- it was pretty fresh as starter, the taste was okay as well.
Shrimp Ravoill with Cream Braise Leek, Lobster Source, Trvisor Leef- I quite like the lobster source, but the taste is not too impressive, was just okay.
Creamy Tomato Soup with Scallop Ball- the soup was so creamy and I love it. The soup served with one scallop and scallop ball which both were very delicoious.
Grilled 7oz Amercian Striploin, Choron Sauce- We ordered medium-well, and they cooked it exactly the way we wanted. Very juicy and the meat was quite soft that easy to eat. The steak also served with poached green and white asparagus, we don't usually eat asparagus but the asparagus they cooked here was quite good, you could taste the fresh and juicy.
Cotriade Charentaise- the white wine sauce was good, the salmon lion and even the potato were tasty.
The last but not least, the dessert's time.
Apple tart with Cinnamon Ice Cream- the cinnamon favor ice cream was quite special, but the size was a bit small and melted pretty quick (probably we spent so much time for pictures before eating ) the apple tart was just soso, I have expected more on their dessert.
Coffee/tea and Petits Four would be served to end our dinner at the end.
There were just 3 petits, we wonder why it called 4 petits? Does the coffee/ tea also count? Lol anyways, more sweet to end the dinner
As a five start hotel, the staff have done their job well. All of them were very nice and friendly. The atmosphere was good, since we were here for the early dinner, we could see the day view and night view of the harbour which is beautiful. My boy and I just had a wonder time at Felix on his birthday!!!
