 Today afternoon tea got a sliced cake treat from one of my colleagues. Long time no eat Mandarin Cake Shop cakes! This time I picked the classic legendary 1963 Mandarin Cheesecake! It is said that the recipe has remained the same since 1963, and therefore its name. It is made of reasonably light cream cheese at the bottom, topped by a layer of sour cream with a few slices of super thin white chocolates separated by white cream on top. It is said that the recipe has remained the same since 1963, and therefore its name. It is made of reasonably light cream cheese at the bottom, topped by a layer of sour cream with a few slices of super thin white chocolates separated by white cream on top. Looking super elegant, texture-wise it was super smooth with rich flavour of cheese but not overly cheesy. Although the texture was not my favourite thick, I still liked it a lot as it wouldn't make you feel very greasy or stuffed after eating!
