Back to Central to do something and my lunch partner brought me to a very special cafe for lunch. It was quite a nicely renovated cafe with very antique decorations, giving you a feeling of getting away from the busy city centre of Central hidden somewhere just for a break before heading back to work. 煙三文魚牛油果蟹子沙律 Smoked Salmon with Avocado Salad $98+10%
It was quite a surprise that the smoked salmon with avocado salad was put together like a crab cake. There were a few layers: tomato cubes at the bottom; lettuce, some smoked salmon pieces and avocado cubes in the middle; and some crab meat like salad on the top layer, topped by some crab roes. Flavour-wise, it was very tasty and light, with a good balance of fresh veggies vs crab meat salad + salty smoked salmon. There were some fresh greens on the side with very light salad dressing. The piece of toast looked average but it was actually super super crispy.

It was nicely wrapped in a Japanese silk napkin. The bento box was warm. There were 4 pieces of deep fried chicken which were still quite warm with crispy batter. The salad dressing made it super tasty - which was the salad dressing you can find in McDonald's o-fish fillet burger! The chicken flesh was reasonably juicy and tender. There were two Japanese-style rice dumplings: one with cooked salmon as stuffings and another had been seasoned with seaweed. The rice dumplings were quite tasty and very filling! They went great with the salad dressing too haha. There was half a soft-boiled egg which had a super sweet and lava egg yolk. The side included quite some spicy bean sprouts and cucumber slices. It was quite a tasty bento.

It was nicely presented in a cup set with 拉花 and some rose flower petals on top. At first, we thought it would be quite sweet but in fact it was not. It was quite a smooth coffee.

I had not expected such a nice tea set with a transparent tea pot, pretty tea cup set and three separate plates of dried chrysanthemum, dried pear slices and 杞子. The server explained to us that we could add the ingredients to the tea pot in the amount we wanted and then asked them to add hot water to the tea pot. After around 8 to 10 min, we could then enjoy our tea. We tried adding just one slice of chrysanthemum and pear with some 杞子 first but it was proven that we should add more. It was quite a nice and healthy tea very rich in chrysanthemum. The 杞子 tasted very delicious and we finished all of them. This tea set was really good if you want to spend more time to enjoy your drink in this cafe.
Every item seemed IG-able. Great for those who loved taking photos of the food and every detail of their meals.
