來居酒屋,沒可能不點刺身吧?和大部份的居酒屋一樣,這間居酒屋的廚師也是用一碗把刺身浸死。而更進一步的地方,是他竟然會用檸檬放在赤貝下,成功令赤貝的鮮味盡失。我還是第一次吃到檸檬味的赤貝,而那赤貝還聲稱是"新鮮"的。

Similar to my habit in lzakaya, sashimi served first.  Similar to most Izakaya, the chef decided to drown the sashimi by a bowl of ice, but what made it special was he decided to place a piece of lemon beneath the akagai.  Although they claimed the akagai was fresh and living, what I can tasted was just lemon.  It was indeed my first time to try a lemon-tasted akagai.  In certain extent, it was impressive.

相對的,這間居酒屋"除刺身外"的食物倒是很正常。我們點了兩個沙律,分別是甜蝦柚子沙律和龍卷風(蟹柳)沙律。個人覺得龍卷風較好。蟹柳和沙律菜的比例很好,而且沙律醬用量適中,感覺清新。至於柚子沙律,甜蝦是意料之內,倒沒想過柚子也是少得可憐。不推薦點。

What lucky was other food was quite "normal".  We have ordered two sets of salad, the one on top was called "Arashi" (Crab Willow). The distribution of the crab willow , salad vegetable and the sauce was good, which made the salad tasted fresh.  The other one was pomelo with prawn salad.  I expected there wouldn't be enough prawn, but what surprised me was the pomelo was not enough too.

跟住上的是燒物。這個明太子雞翼。明太子的處理是正常,釀在雞翼內,雞主翼內沒骨是正常、雞翼 尾有骨也是正常,平平無奇。我曾吃過連雞翼尾骨也起掉、釀入明太子的作品…那是將明太子的口感、配上雞皮和雞肉的味道、再加上可以一口吃掉一口雞翼的滿足感。至於這個雞翼,只能說是平平無奇。
Here came the barbecue food.  This was chicken wing with mentaiko. The chicken bone was not entirely removed at the edge area, which contributed a negative experience to the dish.

這個網燒牛舌。視覺上,會覺得用來燒的火力不足。當然,味道是沒問題,入口還很嫰滑。但可惜我點的不是清蒸牛舌……既然叫網燒,我是預計有點焦口感的。可惜。

This was barbecued ox tongue. Although the ox was properly cooked, but you was expecting some kind of "burnt" for a barbecue dish.  It just appeared to be a "steamed" one instead.  What a pity.

茄子燒都是頗令人動容。整條茄子開邊燒,火力明顯給燒牛舌強多了。茄子入口即溶,和溫熱的配料混合在一起,很完滿。到目前為止,這是味道最好、最滿足的食品。

Despite of the disappointing ox tongue and chicken wing, the eggplant was impressive.  It was properly done and perfectly match with other ingredients.  It was the best we had so far.

驚喜陸續有來。這是黑豚荔枝卷串燒。雖然滿眼的也是肥肥的豚肉,但和荔枝結合起來,不得了,入口不單有豚肉的油脂口感,還有荔枝的清新味道,完全不覺得油膩,非常神奇。這個串燒,不容錯過。

And the surprises were keep on coming.  This was barbecued pork with lychee.  This was marvelous.  I never expect that lychee was a perfect match with oily good like pork.  Although the pork was over-fat , it did not taste oily at all with lychee.  This is a must try item, you can't miss this.

有見這間餐廳的熟食有板有眼,於是便叫了卷物試試 - 這個是火焰金龍卷。炸蝦的處理很好,而且卷物的大小剛好,飯卷並沒有搶去炸號的口感。平衡感很好。
As the hot dish seems good in this lzakaya, we continue to order to decide to try its rice roll.  This was the "fired" prawn roll.  The balancing of the prawn and rice was very good, and the prawn was properly fired.  Recommended.

這是綠野仙踪。同樣的,平衡感很好。於芒果和飯卷放在一起,令我想起泰國有名的芒果糯米飯 …雖然這個不是甜食便是了。唯一要吐糟的,倒是"錄"色不足。不過,擺盤本身也很好。真的沒什麼好投訴。
This one reminded me of the mango sticky rice, despite this one was not a desert.  Similar to the prawn roll, the balance of this mango roll was also good.  Recommended too.
