Decided to try Mak’s Noodle for an early dinner. I randomly walked in, so I wasn’t aware of all the negative reviews this place had, but in hindsight I wish I had checked Openrice before I tried. There were a lot less people inside than in all the neighbouring restaurants, so perhaps I should have taken that as a sign. I had Pork Wonton and Shrimp Wonton with noodles. The serving was extremely small. I finished all the noodles in 2 bites, literally! It might seem like more in the photo, but that

I had Pork Wonton and Shrimp Wonton with noodles. The serving was extremely small. I finished all the noodles in 2 bites, literally! It might seem like more in the photo, but that’s because of the wontons nested under the noodles push them to the surface.
The Pork Wonton’s were not particularly tasty, while the Shrimp Wonton’s simply didn’t taste much at all.

The serving was extremely tiny, so I was not full at all after finishing it. An anomaly in HK, even among shrimp wonton restaurants, where servings often are infamously small.
On the whole, very expensive, compared with other restaurants offering this dish in Jordan and HK.

However, there were some good parts too. The broth had a strong taste of sesame, and was pretty good. The restaurant was quite peaceful, the staff was nice, and they had an English menu. And although I would not reccommend this place to anyone, at least the food is edible, so it could have been a lot worse!
