是日為了等待MO BAR的JIMMY CHOO AFTERNOON TEA,與友人來到SOHO區先醫肚。走遍了半個SOHO區,最後被VIVO的OPEN AREA與內裡的裝飾所吸引,還有LUNCH時間未加一呢!Egg Benedict 最出色係hollandaise sauce,雖然先吃了PIZZA,但麵包的烘底仍舊是脆的,與SAUCE及半熟蛋的口感異常配合,不同層次的口感與味道令人一再回味。Pizza上半熟蛋是亮點所在,來不及影相,已被WAITRESS快速地用pizza cutter切開的時候。蛋黃緩緩流出,配合埋香脆的餅底。WAITRESS跟我們說若慢了,蛋便全熟了,影響了PIZZA的味道。她所言非虛,因為熱烘烘及香脆餅底混合暖暖的蛋汁令口腔感到十分滿足呢。

Food was good! Service was so bad , staff were rude! I definitely will not come back again ever I was ordering the main course and I was trying to ask if the waiter would suggest the seafood risotto or the duck risotto, and the waiter asked me if I will ask for opinion when choosing a girl friend! Je was trying to be funny and actually it's totally not and out of line! I am being offended! I was ordering the main course and I was trying to ask if the waiter would suggest the seafood risotto or the duck risotto, and the waiter asked me if I will ask for opinion when choosing a girl friend! Je was trying to be funny and actually it's totally not and out of line! I am being offended!

When we finished the dinner, the same waiter asked us if we don't mind to move to the bar because some customers are waiter! Ok! We still hving our drinks and it was so finished yet, and mostly importantly, he didnt ask politely, he was just commanding us to do us!

It was my friend's birthday and we decided to order a dessert plate and write happy birthday on thr dish, since we only ordered one dessert because we were full, and the same waiter said there is a minimum charge to writte greetings on the dish, we are totally fine with this but the way he presented was like we were begging him to do so, and it was such a honor to offer us one free time! O god! We were willing to pay whatever we have to pay, we didnt ask him to give us a free offer! And he was so rude!

I think the staff who serving us should be get fired and a re training! Not having him in the restaurant definitely make the whole dining experience much better

The mussels were cooked with white wine, garlic and thyme. Then topped with coconut milk to complete the broth. The mussels were creamy and soft, very nicely made.

The sea trout steak was grilled nicely, but it lacked seasoning. If the chef has scout the sea trout and season it in between, if should bring the sea trout to another level (more flavour and crispy)

The service was excellent, the bar manager was suggested the coffee is very good at Vivo and we gave it as shot and it was very decent. Definitely worth coming back in the future.

這個意大利飯朋友只吃了幾口,因為她已經吃飽了.
我很樂意地幫她吃完了它。
這個意大利飯也是煮得剛好,很有咬口。
濃味的醬汁是用了很香的 藏紅花 跟 忌廉(奶油),
再加上 Reggiano Cheese,增加了味道與質感,
配著一杯白酒,一定會更好吃。

吃了兩份主菜,我也吃飽了,
是一個很滿足的午飯。
我覺得這裡的環境很舒服,
食物也有一定的水準,
午餐大概要100元左右。
想慢慢的享受午飯時間的話,
VIVO 是個不錯的選擇。

Since seeing the picture of the atmospheric decor and the fancy cocktails on openrice early this year, I had been waiting for a suitable occasion to give it a try. Finally, the occasion arrived and I came for my friend’s birthday on a relaxing Friday night.

The service was attentive and the waitress serving our table was generous to give us recommendation on their signature cocktails. The swanky interior was cleverly designed with warm light coming through the carved walls which provided diners a truly comfortable atmosphere.
I started off with the popular lychee daiquiri and my friend opted for the virgin kiwi mojito. The first sip of my lychee daiquiri tasted like typical rum, but was soon integrated by the sweetness of lychee which made the whole drink less burning.

We ordered the salmon & cranberry pizza and wagyu cannelloni from the innovative menu yet they weren’t anything extraordinary.

The salmon & cranberry pizza was colorfully decorated with ingredients evenly spread over the pizza. The thin-crust pizza was crispy but a bit burnt at the bottom. The juicy cranberries on top made an inspiring combination with the cheesy pizza.
However, the raw salmon was too greasy for us since we would prefer one lighter main dish.

Instead of the usual bolognas source, the wagyu cannelloni was served with creamy squid ink. I could barely tell the difference between beef from different countries, especially not in the case when the minced beef was already soaked with rich squid ink…the presentation of the dish was not impressive and it somehow looked like homemade Chinese dish that served with too much soy source.


Vivo is a stylish destination to sip on a cocktail after work with hip background music as accompaniment.
The Italian cuisine we had wasn’t the top in town yet it was still a good bargain for dining at Soho. It would be delightful for me to return for their cocktails but it might take some times before I came back for proper meal.

The restaurant caught my eye because of the setting of the restaurant when I look at their photos. I was feeling like having a decent Italian meal with a friend for the weekend so I went searching for a nice Italian restaurant around Central. The restaurant caught my eye because of the setting of the restaurant when I look at their photos. As shown in photos, I think the lighting have created a stunning effect which coheres and resembles with the skycrapers in Hong Kong. By just the look of it, me and my friend had decided to come and have a try.
I have made a prior booking before we came and we were seated immediately after we arrived. I enjoyed the surrounding atmosphere and ambience a lot. The restaurant was very nice yet it felt very casual and chic at the same time. It felt kind of contemporary and innovative, and I'm loving every bit of its setting.
Feeling chic and urban, a glass of cocktail shouldn't be missed. I saw a cocktail named Tiramisu on the menu and I thought it sounded pretty interesting so I ordered one. The drink consists of rum, white and brown Creme de Cacao, shaken with espresso and mascarpone. It was pretty sweet in taste, but it isn't as creamy as I would've expected, or maybe I thought so because I've expected it to be very rich in sweetness and creamy that hides up the taste of alcohol but, quite the contrary, the taste of alcohol is pretty distinct. Anyway, it was still a pleasure to have the drink.
The bread rolls were served very soon in a big bowl along with a little dish with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The bread rolls and foccacia are very soft and quite aromatic, only that I think it's not warm enough.

Now let's start with the food. For starter, we picked Salad of Parma Ham and Burrata Mozzarella. Burrata mozzarella doesn't sound very common in Hong Kong, at least I have never tried it before and I barely know much about it. Now I know a little more about it. Burrata mozzarella is made from mozzarella and cream, and it has a rigid surface. It looks like a ball and you slice it open to eat the cream with the salad. It was indeed an interesting experience to me but I think the burrata might be a bit too rigid. I supposed it was rigid on the outside but creamy and smooth in the inside, but I think the one I had was not as soft and creamy as I have expected. The tomato and parma ham were pretty nice, and I especially enjoyed the serving sauce with them.

Moving on, we had ordered a pizza, a risotto, and a steak. The pizza was of a special seasonal promotion. I couldn't recall the full name of it, i'm going to just name it as Smoked Salmon Pizza. The pizza is of a very thin crust and is crispy yet still gives a texture instead of just a crisp. The toppings tasted very refreshing as well, especially the onion and fennel. The onion and fennel were not topped together with the pizza but was placed at the middle of the pizza after slicing. It felt like an additional refreshing topping to add on the pizza.

Next came the Duck Confit Risotto. This dish is bound to be rich and taste a bit heavy, but I'm absolutely okay with it. It has quite a creamy texture but still with some bite. The duck confit is pretty authentic, and plus the addition of Parmesan cheese, the overall texture is so rich.

Last but not least, is the Beef Sirloin w/ foie gras sauce. As I cut it, I knew it was a dish of high quality already. The sirloin was pretty tender, and the flavor is very rich. The sirloin was just cooked to perfection. I think it is even the best sirloin I've ever had. In addition, the foie gras sauce does contain bits of foie gras, which was quite a surprise to us and we find this dish absolutely flabbergasting.

To conclude, it was definitely a pleasurable experience to have dined here. It is indeed a very nice place to chill out with friends. The setting and atmosphere is great and the food is nice and decent enough. However, I don't think everything's in perfection yet. The final missing piece is the services as I think it is not impressive enough. I'd expected a bit more from waiters, like being more lively and explain to you of various foods keenly. I think that's the missing element to create a perfect urban, casual and chic ambience to match with the setting and the restaurant's concept. I believe this would leave customers with an even better impression of the restaurant, and I would then say this restaurant is indeed a success. Just a bit more, and it has it all to get to the top.

Our original choice was full so we headed over to Vivo for bunch - and was pleasantly surprised by their eggs benedict.Eggs were poached well with the yolk running out when you cut into it.Vivo is more of a dinner/drinks place so it was less "homey" than other brunch places such as Brunch Club but they serve a decent brunch and its more spacious and quiet than Brunch Club. Being a frequent customer of Vivo for over one and a half year, I am not going to make any comment on the food as I am always satisfied with the Chef's whole-hearted devotion in preparing his favourite dishes.

However, the booking system has gone utterly wrong for the past few months. Many a time, I was repeated answered by a recording message (recorded by the previous manager!!) which requested customer to leave a message. That's fine; but the problem was Vivo almost always NEVER answered back to acknowledge and confirm the status though strongly requested.

For a couple of times, after I had left the message for booking, I arrived to find out that I was not on the booking list. They're indeed testing my patience!

Friends I recommended to patronise Vivo had also experienced similar problems. Some just got fed-up and quitted.

Before irreversible damage is done, this got to be fixed urgently!!

裝修不算華麗, 不過叫做有點風格不是種族歧視, 但服務員態度參差, 說廣東話的有禮helpful, 說英文的面黑囂張, 經理態度都不見得好。。。。全晚食品, 本人最欣賞頭盤, 生牛肉salad 十分出色, 肉質新鮮調味一流, 另ceasar salad 生菜新鮮甜美, 醬汁分量剛好不會好漏既感覺或者係美味既頭盤拉高左期望, 所以到主餐便失望了, rib eye十分鞋口,雖然份量大,但是半成熟已經鞋成咁不能想像身邊友人7成熟是如何感受, 另外一款主菜snapper,也是十分失望,魚皮不脆反而有D UN, 有魚鱗, 肉質鞋口,放在有D broth 既什菇上面賣相不討好, 同時兩款主菜溫度欠奉,不是太好的飲食體驗。。。。甜品不是outstanding, 老實說, 分不清眼前的時朱古力軟心蛋糕還是brownie。。。埋單每位$600。。。當然不是本人從食以來最貴的一餐, 但是係最唔捨得俾既一餐。。。

有食家推介 Vivo 新鮮荔枝汁,專誠點 Mocktail 欲嘗試其真滋味,果然係好味之選,啱曬唔 "好" 酒既女士們。除荔枝汁外,裡面仲混有西柚汁同 Cranberry,感覺鮮味,不過記得襯凍飲呀!

再黎兩份前菜:

Parma Ham 火箭菜沙律:
Parma Ham 軟滑,味較平常既略為淡口。跟新鮮既火箭菜同入口,兩者不同香味、口感、食味都能均衡發輝,所以一向兩者都係最佳拍檔,唔會走雞。沙律原來有大露筍墊底,可惜解凍時間不足,裡面尚有冰凍感,本來露筍可加分,而家反而有一點點影響左整體性既完美。

蟹肉餅:

心思與美味既結合。每件蟹肉餅都有不同既 Topping,從右邊既蕃茄,中間既火箭菜以及左邊既芒果,給予食客新鮮感。最值得一提係蟹肉味濃、還帶有一點點蟹黃既香味,從未試過如斯真味既蟹餅。另外蟹肉本身夠嫩滑,混上少許爽脆既 Bell Pepper 及洋蔥碎,口感即時豐富起黎。

跟住選擇左較為 Causal 既 Pasta 同 Risotto 為主食:

Penne alla Arrabblata:

其實材料係好簡單既蒜,辣椒同蕃茄汁混合既長通粉。正是簡單,但可測試到厨師並無鬆懈。一端上枱,香氣四溢,用廣東人既鑊氣夠黎形容絶無跨張,蕃茄同新鮮紅辣椒野味非常,汁均勻沾上長通粉,簡簡單單既美味足以令我異常滿足!

Duck Confit Risotto:
用上鴨腿肉、牛肝箘、新鮮百里香同 Red Wine Reduction 既醬汁,比起長通粉,無論食材同烹調方法都複雜許多。第一口已嚐到濃烈既鴨肉味,仲有 Parmesan Cheese,但 Red Wind Reduction 醬汁似乎一點味道也欠奉,何解?Risotto 係我鐘意有咬口既質感,用料亦唔錯,應該被醬汁拖垮了!

Vivo 既甜品亦相當吸引,人多可選擇備有幾款不同既甜品 Platter,兩個人亦有出名既 Tiramisu。可惜是晚實在沒有多餘既空間,留待下次再品嚐吧!

埋單才$500多,原來蘭桂坊大部份食肆有 Super Monday 既優惠。而 Vivo 無論主菜,Pasta 都係 Two for One,非常抵食,以後不再有打工仔既 Blue Monday,放工可以食筍野,Hooray...............

服務:以輕鬆為主,唔好期待 Formal 既意菜,相信就完全無問題。

Vivo is definately one of my favourite restaurant in SOHO, and I'm especially addicted to their pasta!!Wagyu beef carpaccio - high qualityMussels - ok but the mussels are tooooo tinySoup of the day - tried mushroom and tomato soup before, not bad in generalAngle hair with Prawn (in tomato sauce) - v delicious MUST TRYPizza - good if you like thin & crisp crust

I've been to Vivo maybe 4 times this past year. The food is generally good, but the service has been consistently mediocre. This past weekend, however, the service bordered on complete incompetence. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and had a party of 12. The table was waiting when we arrived and we were seated promptly. Having worked in the service industry during university, I know first hand the stress that a large party puts on a restaurant and kitchen, so a delay is generally understandable. In this case, though, we had to wait roughly 45 minutes for our appetizers and an additional 55 minutes for our main courses. The waiter seemed indifferent to our repeated requests for our dishes. At around 10.15pm starving and eagerly awaiting our food, the main courses started to come out. After another 10 minutes the food was finally all laid out on the table (2 hours after we ordered). We all toasted our friend a Happy Birthday, and quiet fell over the table as we dug into the food. This was when things slowly got worse, the table next to us was served a Durian birthday cake at the table which filled with whole restaurant with a rancid odor that was infused into our food and made several of our guests want to vomit (a mixture of the hunger, awful gaseous smell and bad tasting food). With so many of us at the table, nearly everything on the menu was ordered. The Salmon, linguine and fettuccine were all equally terrible, most of us forced ourselves to eat it as we were so hungry. All in all the worst meal we have had in Soho in forever and all for the grand price tag of $4500+. When attempting to ordering drinks, we were left waiving frantically to get their attention and even when we did manage to get one of the staff's attention, we were often ignored without so much as a look of recognition. The icing on the cake was the cake! We repeatedly asked for the cake to come out and we waited for another 30 minutes with no apologies or acknowledgement of anything coming out soon. All in all, the food quality was terrible-- compared to my first few times there, the food seemed to be prepared by a new chef who had no idea what he/she was doing. The service was appalling with no apologies or compensation for ruining a friends birthday and so what should have turned out to be a great celebration was an awful, frustrating, overpriced, tasteless and terrible meal. The 12 of us will never go there again and will not be recommending friends there either.
