提早替男朋友慶生日,從一位openrice食評家的收藏餐廳中,找到了這間。全賴有TableMap,可以迅速的在網上訂了位這間餐廳的位置坐落於SOHO區,餐廳門前的裝潢很出眾,所以並不難搵。因為訂了枱,一到餐廳已很快被安排入座。這間餐廳的裝潢並不像一般意大利餐廳,它帶點中國色彩。餐廳分兩邊,一邊是Bar Table,另一邊則是一張長沙發及一排桌子。枱與枱之間尚算寬敞,可保持一點私人空間。沙發後的牆身都是充滿中國色彩的裝潢。原來6:00-8:00pm 是Happy Hour 時段,除了酒類飲品有特價外,晚餐都有優惠!Happy Hour 時段有set dinner 供應,$260/person 包 2 courses (starter and main),main可以選pasta or pizza。最後,我選了 Soup of the Day (今天是 mushroom soup) 及 Duck leg confit risotto.男朋友選了 Chef's recipe crab cake 及 Signature Seafood Linguine.點餐後,餐廳同時捧上餐前麵包。餐前麵包有

這間餐廳的位置坐落於SOHO區,餐廳門前的裝潢很出眾,所以並不難搵。

因為訂了枱,一到餐廳已很快被安排入座。
這間餐廳的裝潢並不像一般意大利餐廳,它帶點中國色彩。

餐前麵包有軟和脆兩款,送上時還暖暖的
 
跟隨麵包送來的亦有 olive oil and vinegar。
唯一不足的是應該讓客人自我調校 olive oil and vinegar 的份量及比例。
此外,每位客人亦應各自 being served with olive oil and vinegar,始終 share 用不太合乎衛生吧!
值得一讚的是軟麵包,很喜歡它的軟綿綿。
脆麵包其實都做得很好,脆卜卜很新鮮!

由於8:00pm前都是HH, 所以每杯只是$60,很優惠呢!
男朋友知道我喜歡味道不太濃的酒,所以點了這個,如果你喜歡再淡一點的,可以試試 Pinot!

其實,餐廳還有多款餐酒及cocktail可選,影了個wine list及cocktail list, 可以慢慢研究

早前跟男朋友到過諾士佛臺一間餐廳,同樣點了個著名的蟹餅,
相比之下,我覺得這個蟹餅做得較出色,
除了足料,這個蟹餅的蟹肉是鮮甜的,
廚師亦把蟹餅的外圍煎得很好,金黃色的,鬆脆且不油膩!
再配上清新的 cirtus,味道ICHIBAN

男朋友的主菜先送上,送來時已嗅到香噴噴!
哈哈,男朋友見我虎視眈眈的樣子,自動自覺分了小部分給我試試,
當然還分了整粒帶子給我這個帶子迷


這個 Linguine 很彈牙,不過醬汁的味未能滲透到 Linguine 當中。
海鮮都很足料,可以找到青口、蜆、蝦和帶子。
男朋友說海鮮的味道不錯,
但我倒覺得那帶子稍微欠缺味道,不過幸好都沒有雪藏味

相比下,我的主菜出色得多,
這個 Risotto 煮得相當好,飯的質地剛好,不太硬亦不太軟。
Duck Leg 肉被撕得碎碎的,與 Risotto 飯粒的 size 相近,很匹配,
不得不提的,Duck Leg 的肉汁更是完完全全地慘入了 Risotto 當中,
飯中充斥著 Duck Leg 肉的味道,濃而不膩

今次,輪到男朋友先後幾次「飛象過河」夾這個飯食

不過這個飯份量真的很大,我和男朋友兩個人合作都不能把它K.O.


正當我們飲飽食醉,準備埋單時,侍應很細心的提提我還有一個 pre-order 的 tiramisu


哈哈, 是咁的,我一早用 TableMap 訂枱時,
在special request 一欄寫了想 pre-order a slice of tiramisu cake with words "happy birthday, XXX" on the side of the dish.
我見餐廳沒有打電話跟我 double confirm, 又沒有跟我「打眼色」,
我已經打定輸數。
最離奇的是侍應還遞了dessert menu給我們,幸好沒有double order


果然 tiramisu 是這裡的皇牌甜品,雖然我和男朋友已經吃得很飽,
但仍然覺得它的味道很好,哈哈,可能食甜品真的是用第二個胃

Tiramisu 很軟綿綿,咖啡和朱古力混合得很適宜,
還有很足的雲呢拿香油味呢!

總括之言,男朋友對這餐生日飯很滿意。
我都覺得這餐廳的食物有驚喜!值得推介一下!

題外話/補充資料: 餐廳的冷氣不太足夠,可能由於沒有大門,出口又長期對街外開放。餐廳內都是靠一把座地風扇把冷氣散開,所以不需要擔心冷氣過大或需要額外帶多一件外套。

When I sat down. found the chair was quite uncomfortable. I booked n somebody brought us to the table. then he left n never came back.  there weren't no menu on table and nobody came over to serve us for 5 mins till I asked for drink menu n told them we haven't ordered food after another few minutes.all staffs were nice thowe had set dinner menu.  for valentines day. Desert: vanilla ice cream with god damn defrosted strawberry, texture was awful.   there was also some crunchy chocolate liked thing underneath but taste like truffle. both of us did not like it and only had a bite.

The bae & I wandered around Soho for a good twenty minutes after going to Brunch Club to see that massive queue outside. We happened to find this fancy Italian place, Vivo on Elgin Street.First of all, the inside looks quite nice and modern but not very Italian (just saying). First of all, the inside looks quite nice and modern but not very Italian (just saying). It was rather quiet for a Saturday afternoon, there were only a few customers. We ordered ham & cheese omelette and eggs benedict; raspberry iced tea and apple juice for drink. The raspberry iced tea…hmm..imagine Arizona raspberry iced tea (which I'm obsessed with!) diluted with water, yuck! AND it costs $58 which I found kinda expensive for a glass of not so yummy drink.

The apple juice was just apple juice.

The eggs benedict was alright. One of the yolks was on point yet the other one was slightly overcooked; sadly the hollandaise sauce was kinda tasteless and the consistency was a little bit watery; the spinach was real fresh tho!

I would say the price of Vivo is reasonable (except for that glass of raspberry iced tea!). It's standard-soho-restaurant pricing. The meal costs $282: omelette $98; eggs benedict $98; apple juice $28; raspberry iced tea $58. One little note- there is no service charge for this restaurant which is quite rare.

Came home and read some of the reviews of this fancy pancy Italian place on Openrice, most of them were very positive. I think this restaurant is kinda overrated, I wouldn't say this place was terrible but I'm quite certain that I wouldn't come here again, well, at least not for brunch again.

I almost forgot to mention the smoke that came out from the kitchen. It was pretty frightening. They need better exhaust fan ha!

Had a wonderful meal with good friends at Vivo. We started with very good cocktails at the bar followed by an assortment of starters and mains (including a pizza). All I can say is that the mussles were excellent, as was the beef carppacio and the pizza. The staff was great too. Friendly, helpful and good humoured. I'll be definitely going back and bringing more friends. Thanks to the Vivo team, I had an excellent experience.

餐廳不是用牛油伴麵包,而是用橄欖油又醋。

個人很喜歡軟熟的那款麵包,一放在橄欖油或醋上立即像吸水力特強的海綿那樣被沾得漲漲的,吃下去很是不錯。

第一道上場的先是海鮮Risotto. Risotto伴有帶子,魷魚及小mussels. 海鮮佔的比重很足,絕不會慳著食材分量,而且吃下去海鮮都很新鮮。Risotto用煮得好像熟了一點,咬下去時稍欠那種像吃著半生熟米那樣的嚼勁,但煮汁弄得很香口且不黏稠,所以整體上都很滿意。

第二道菜是 Chef Special, 亦是今晚的亮點菜。

印象中好像沒吃過抱子甘藍,就算有都可能是一件起兩件止的主菜伴碟薯菜。但它今晚角色轉移,整碟主菜是以甘藍為主物,大蝦為副的呈上。

抱子甘藍不是在香港一般街市及超級市場可以買得到的蔬菜,又名小椰菜。它的size可真是袖珍版的椰菜,但味道質感都不像椰菜。有興趣可以上網找一找原整一顆抱子甘藍的樣子,很是有趣。

一粒粒像綠色乒乓波大小的的抱子甘藍連鑊子一齊上,底下墊着三隻大蝦,上面鋪着夏威夷果仁碎粒,賣相不錯。

還一定需要介紹的是伴在旁的醬,是用香蕉造的芥末醬。還倒是第一次碰上這樣做法的醬汁。醬汁當然是作甜醬用。

為甚麼吃這道菜需要配甜醬?

其實抱子甘藍味道苦中帶甘,所以配一些帶甜味的醬汁去中和一下是最好的做法。 這碟抱子甘藍按餐牌的描述應在烘烤的過程中加上薰衣草蜜糖一同煮,但最後反而吃不出甚麼薰衣草味。

說回抱子甘藍,咬下去很是爽脆,那種回甘味會令人忍不住口吃完一粒又一粒,伴著香甜的香蕉醬令甘藍去了苦澀味就更為可口。

底下的大蝦亦很鮮味,但說到底還是給抱子甘藍搶去風頭。

牛排是半生熟,牛排燒得外棕內嫩,吃落口肉香滿盈,底下的磨菇用橄欖油煮過,放在牛排底下亦吸收不少肉汁香,整碟菜很有水準。唯一值得垢病是份量頗細,令人吃得不夠過癮。

旁邊伴了烤過的檸檬,應是裝飾居多,可沒聽過可牛排要用上檸檬汁吊味呢!

去意大利餐廳便一定要叫意式奶凍,這是常識吧! (潮人模式啓動中....)

說笑歸說笑,這道意式奶凍真是意外地好吃!

奶凍本身做時把甜度調底,吃下去時是特意地突出其奶味多於其甜味。

至於甜品中的甜味,便從配料方面著手帶出。奶凍外披上一層混名了草莓味及熱情果味的乳酪醬,再加入其他雜莓果肉及奇異果乾脆脆,吃落甜中帶酸,又口感豐富。除此之外,奶凍上放上自家製哈密瓜雪葩,味道清甜。將雪葩,奶凍及其它醬汁果乾一同吃,複雜的味覺享受令這道甜品加分不少。

最後一道甜品是店方的Signature Tiramisu.

在這裡要讚店方一下。當食店把tiramisu送上後,我們突然醒起想為壽星仔慶祝生日,所以問店方可否在碟邊上加祝賀語。 最後店方把tiramisu拿回厨房並加上寫有Happy Birthday 的朱古力字牌及蠟燭回來。沒有加一服務費的情況下能給予這樣的服務,真是喜出望外!

Tiramisu可沾上伴碟的桑莓醬一齊吃。Tiramisu本身就不過不失。可能是因為我們已吃得太飽所以沒再能把tiramisu吃得很滋味。

整頓飯感覺良好,侍應生並沒有因為沒有 order餐酒,sparkling water 等黑面,價錢亦是合理,值得推介。

下次可以帶仮面試一試它的姊妹店Tivo.

同事請吃生日飯,因為午飯時間短,唯有選擇公司附近的餐廳,就選了間未試過的Vivo。好奇怪的去到時餐廳只有兩三枱客,有些少擔心食物質素,不過既然來到了,就硬著頭皮上啦!Set lunch menu價錢一百多少少,分3-course或4-course,菜式有4款,我們3個人點了4-course,分別有煎魚, smoked salmon pizza同埋rib eye。這個煎魚不錯,同事說很有魚味,火候剛剛好。Pizza就真是太差了,意式薄餅應該是薄而脆,可惜火焗不均勻,有些沐有些脆。肉眼煎得很好,牛味香濃,油份很皇,值得推介。最後到甜品了,以為跟餐的甜品質素有限,誰知是一個驚喜。Panna cotta雖然欠缺奶味,但配上新鮮berries sauce,味覺突然豐富了;Tiramisu結果就比下去了。

肉眼煎得很好,牛味香濃,油份很皇,值得推介。

最後到甜品了,以為跟餐的甜品質素有限,誰知是一個驚喜。Panna cotta雖然欠缺奶味,但配上新鮮berries sauce,味覺突然豐富了;Tiramisu結果就比下去了。

吃過甜點就剛剛飽, 是很滿足的一餐~~餐廳的食物水準和情調都不錯, 定價合理, 平均每人只是$180, 不論是跟三五知己或情侶吃飯都很適合~

由下單至上菜約等了15分鐘, 也不算太夠, 其實這應該是我第一次吃<Egg Benedict>,感覺良好,可惜沒有試過別家的, 所以沒法比例, 但我確實喜歡Vivo的, 首先最外層是荷蘭汁(有點酸很特別的味道), 之後是水煮蛋(蛋黃是流動的, 但外表略嫌有點煮得過久), 再之後是我最愛的煙火腿及波菜(炒得很美味), 最下層是muffin。總括來說味道是B++份量也很足夠!

再來是<Regular Coffee>,細細的一杯, 是lavazza,不是我喜愛的種類,不夠香同時較苦。坦白這裏不是精品咖啡店, 所以不作太多詳述, 但之後我去了上環Coco Espresso, 下一篇食評再談!

中環蘇豪一帶,絕對稱得上是香港這個美食天堂中的天堂地段,各式食肆,各國菜式,五步一樓,十步一閣,俯拾皆是。單是一條伊利近街,雲集多個菜式的餐廳食店,已令人看得眼花繚亂,心大心細,不知到哪裡吃東西才好。這一個晚上,夫妻兩人正好在這條「食街」中覓食,經過一輪尋尋覓覓之後,終於來到這間從外望去,好像有點中國風的意大利餐廳吃晚飯。說它帶點兒中國風,主要原因在於它的落地玻璃大門裡面,一片昏暗的環境中,懸掛著的數款不同設計,高矮不一的燈飾,全是一片亮麗的紅色,給自己一個大紅燈籠高高掛的感覺,而且在餐廳的一面牆上,則是一堵堵超長身茶色縷空成不規則大小方格的燈飾,而在每一堵高至天花,從縷空格子中透亮著暈黃燈光的燈飾之間,則是同樣高至天花,一片翠綠的植物裝飾。這獨特的設計,據說是以香港中環商業區高聳入雲的商廈為設計概念,突出香港這個世界大都會的繁華景象來設計的,在一棟棟高樓之間的綠色植物,則可以作出一個襯托的作用。這獨特而巧妙,匠心獨運的構思,實在值得一讚。這夜兩夫妻吃的燭光晚餐,是吃得挺愜意的。先行奉上兩款一香脆一軟熟的麵包,水準不差,為這夜的愜意晚餐揭開了序幕。這晚的餐牌有三款 Vivo's Sig

這晚的餐牌有三款 Vivo's Signature餐廳推介,分別是 Seafood Risotto($188)、Steamed Tasmania Mussels($168)和 Hand-Made Fricelli Pasta($168)。老婆仔不想吃 Risotto,我又不想吃 Pasta,那就吃來自澳洲塔斯曼尼亞的青口好了。

Steamed Tasmania Mussels不愧是餐廳推介,份量既多,足有差不多二十隻,而且質素也好,佔了一半都頗為大隻,全部都嫩滑無渣,伴以甜美的忌廉汁,真的很好味呢!

事實証明我倆的選擇沒錯, Truffle Potato Mash 松露香氣撲鼻,而且味道也好,既飽肚,又好味。
至於主角的牛扒,早已被切成四小塊,份量比想像中少,但肉質和味道則令自己頗為滿意,外脆內嫩的牛扒,裡面仍然保留誘人的粉紅色,肉質軟嫩,而且肉汁仍能保存。雖然這牛扒的份量是少了點,只可淺嚐即止,未能開懷大嚼,吃得不太夠飽,幸好有同樣美味的 Truffle Potato Mash伴吃,仍能讓自己吃得夠飽。

本來我還想吃甜品的,不過老婆仔興趣不大,我唯有打消這念頭,留待下次再吃好了。

這情調不錯,設計帶點兒中國風,食物水準也高的高質意大利餐廳,我應該會再來的。

環境唔錯,可能假日兼早上,人唔多。服務員態度還可以。食物種類以brunch嚟講就唔算多,我地兩個人點左pizza 加 omelette。份量我們都覺得足夠。味道方面我們都覺得pizza味道好d,因為係pizza度可以食到煙肉嘅咸香味同雞蛋嘅蛋香味,再加上薄批底香脆,整體味道平衡而可口。Omelette味道偏淡,既冇蛋應有的蛋香和芝士既味道,亦冇蛋嫩滑的感覺,所以有點失望。總括而言,唔錯的假日去處。

Vivo. Even though there are lots of dining place in Soho .I do think Vivo is my choice for Italian cuisine . Although it's much more informal and laidback compare to usual Aqua establishment , but since is under The Aqua Group , presentation and the standard yet full of pleasant surprise . Vivo is a chic and intimate Italian restaurant in the heart of Soho . The lightening in its decor simulates the dramatic scenery of skyscrapers which reaching for the stars . It's just so dazzling !Smooth line

Vivo is a chic and intimate Italian restaurant in the heart of Soho . The lightening in its decor simulates the dramatic scenery of skyscrapers which reaching for the stars . It's just so dazzling !Smooth lines and black backgrounds highlight its modern ambience . For starter , we pick both fusion cuisine for more adventurous plates ! Scallop sashimi with its jelly coat is a very unique cooking method . Melon and fish row are sprinkled to complex your mouthful bites .The proportion for all fresh ingredients are well balanced with its colourful looking . Crab cake is tasty , a competent twist on a classic . The texture is plump and fruitful with its fresh crab content . The crab cake stirred well  the bell pepper , mildly spicy that make the cake more stimulating  !  Despite the Crab cake is deep fried with bread crumbs , it's not oily and greasy at all . Big sliced of orange topped on the cake that add a hint of sourness and bring out the refreshment. A impressed delicacy !

Signature dish is their portobello pizza . One of the hits is their ultra -thin pizza with a range of toppings . Here it comes , Portobello were evenly spread over the cheesy thin crust  . With the fennel and herbs ,  certainly comes to a perfect combination and its crispy yet still gives a texture instead of just a bite . Extremely crispy arousing . It's a light touch for a pizza with its ultra thin base ! This is a highly recommendend dishes .

The sea bass was quite extraordinary with a simple cookery . I was surprised with such quality . Fish meaty with smooth , succulent content , with an umami depth enhanced by a lemon foam.  A hearty portion with spectacular stimulations . Garlics and onions are topped on the fish , add a hint of flavorings and tastiness .   I specially appreciate the presentation , garnish with flowers and grass ,simple but delicated .

The penne cooked in a right timing that keeps it own texture . The sauce is light , successfully add some aroma to the penne and it wasn't too heavy . With fresh succulent scallop and assorted mushrooms , it is perfect in flavor .

For the yellow tail king fish , it's kind of disappoint and lost it splendor compare to the sea bass . The fish was in a firm texture and the cut is flavoursome , however , the meat is under-seasoned and underwhelming . With its lacked seasoning , it wasn't match with the broth . While the broth is more insipid, it can't bring the freshness out and even make it worse .

The dessert platter basically come up with fondant as it was rich yet not too sweet. The parfait and tiramisu are much more light in gorgeous contrast . Everything on the dessert platter was authentically flawless ! 

Service are generally friendly , waitress are easy going and attentive , alerted enough to serve dishes on a timely basis .The overall perforamce is above average . I can't say it was amazing, but the dessert it really hit the spot.  Dense , rich , delight all in one platter , in one place .That's Vivo .

I went back last week for my anniversary and wanted to introduce this restaurant to my wife. Nothing much has changed on the ambience. I noticed the restaurant has less customers and a lot of staff. A nice improvement compare to 3 years, this way they can give better service to every table. BUT I WAS WRONG. Service was worst than ever! Every 2-3 minutes the waitress will ask if we wanted drink and we made it so clear that we will order it after my wife and I decided. They asked me at least 5 times.
I also noticed the server was bringing out the food but don't know which table to serve it to. They need to put it on the bar table under the heating light for at least a minute or 2. 
We had soup for starter and the soup arrived first before our soup spoon. The soup was warm, the surface of the soup solidified already.
We had pork steak and duck risotto for main course. The steak was COLD! The Risotto too was cold and there was too much sauce(compare to 3 years ago). The TASTE, yes the taste..it was aweful! The flavor of the steak was lacking, sauce on the side was cold, somehow the steak was like it was Boiled. The risotto was bad too. The flavor was out of balance. Too salty and the mushroom is over powering the taste of the duck and everything.
We also ordered Sangria, taste like LKF's party bar drinks. Too much red wine in it, we can't barely taste any "fruity" flavor. You might think it is supposedly like that because its red wine base. Well, I've tasted a lot of sangria before and if you tasted this one, you would rather drink red wine instead. How I imagine sangria in VIVO, Red Wine with ice and diced apples.
By the way, I still need to walk up to the waitress to ask for tissue because they are busy chatting.
We did not finish our meal, I called the waitress for the bill. She was 7 feet away from me and walking TOWARDS my direction, I asked for the bill with my hands up in the air but totally ignored. Good thing the other waitress saw me. Took the bill, paid up, not coming back.
Taste: 2/10
Service: 3/10

To anyone in this restaurant reading this: Regroup and rebuild everything with PASSION.

The flavours in the meat were perfectly accentuated by the Parmesan cheese and truffle dressing, which was not too overpowering.

For my main course, I had the duck confit risotto, which was also very well executed. What I love most is how the risotto is so generously stuffed with ingredients - with every mouthful you'll find not only the belly warming risotto but also the rich, punchy flavours of duck confit and porcini mushrooms.

On top of my food I managed to snag a slice of this porcini pizza from my neighbour and I'm so glad I did! The crust was thin and crispy, whilst each topping jumped right at you with its own distinctive burst of flavour: the cheese, the porcini mushrooms and the caramelised onions. Maybe not the most authentically Italian pizza, but definitely worth a big thumbs up!

I'm glad I've got Vivo back on my food map because, quite surprisingly, they haven't dropped their standards at all even in the space of a couple of years (which is really quite some feat!). With its friendly but very classy vibe, this is the perfect spot for a special occasion whether in a large group or just for two!

Aqua group 的餐廳,跟TIVO 的樣子差不多一樣。星期天下午只有寡寡四檯客,很舒服的環境,在旁還有許鋌鏗和欣宜。Benedict 不錯,配了杯建議的Grapefruit Sparkler,不喜歡。
