I just want to say I absolutely loved SOMM's service, the level of attentiveness and hospitality from the waiters just made the dining experience so much better. We told the waiter what we wanted to order - two appetisers, two mains and a dessert, he expressed concern that it might be too much for two girls. I was a little baffled at first because I showed him pictures of what I thought was the portion size of the mains, he chuckled and said that those are brunch portions, dinner portions are ac

So we took his advice and skipped one of the appetisers.

We started off with a bread basket and normally I don't hold high expectations for this segment of the meal, but after I polished off the entire basket by myself (my friend isn't a bread person), I totally get the hype over their sourdough. It was so amazing that I've already booked their brunch by the time I'm writing this!

The uni french toast was alright, the uni was fresh and creamy and the french toast had a subtle crunch to it, both elements were good but I wasn't sure if the two had enough chemistry together to justify it being $268 apiece.

The duck breast was cooked to a perfect medium rare, the skin provided a slight chewy texture, and the butternut squash was a refreshing contrast against the richness of the duck breast. Pictured is half the portion, as the dish was presented in its full portion and we were given two plates to share the two pieces of duck breast. But the duck jus was poured by the waiter onto the original plate so it seemed a bit clumsy to eat on one plate and dip the duck breast in the jus which was on another plate.

The star of the meal was definitely the bresse pigeon with foie gras! The dish was kind of like a beef wellington but with pigeon, foie gras and what I think was spinach wrapped inside the pastry. It was definitely a flavour bomb, each layer was perfectly executed; the pastry was flaky and buttery, the pigeon was cooked to perfection and I just can't describe how scrumptiously soft it was! I've certainly never had pigeon cooked to this level of doneness before, so I've always assumed that it was just a tougher kind of meat. The foie gras despite being a thick layer provided an adequate amount of velvety fattiness which complimented well with the pigeon and pastry. Again the dish was already divided into two plates for us, allowing that beautiful section cut to show the delicate layers, the whole thing was quite filling indeed.

I've heard raving reviews about their chocolate souffle so we had to order it despite me not usually gravitating towards chocolate desserts as I find most are too sweet or heavy. So I was pleasantly surprised by the subtle sweetness of the souffle, and the ingenuity of using chocolate sorbet instead of ice cream made the whole thing more refreshing than heavy!

Overall the ambience and service was great, despite the restaurant being a bit too dimly lit for my liking, it was very warm and cosy inside. Totally recommend the pigeon and chocolate souffle, and don't skimp on the sourdough basket!

For mains, the cover photo doesn’t do the pigeon & foie gras pithivier justice as it’s like a piece of art when you see it in person. I can imagine the amount of work put in in preparing for it. For me personally, I am not a pigeon pie person as it’s a bit too rich for me. But all my British bosses love it so much!

Me on the other hand really enjoyed the duck breast dish. You can see how well cooked it is even with my bad photography.

The dessert chocolate soufflé is always amazing but what makes me come back over and over again is the sourdough 😆

Appetizers stole my heart and now include:

• Polmard Heritage Beef Tartare, Fermented Jalapeño, Avocado, Lime & Sweet Potato Chips (The flavor combination works like wonder!)
• 100% Belotta Pata Negra Shoulder Ham
• Signature Sourdough Bread, Seaweed & Sea Salt Lavoche & Signature Croissant with Bordier Unsalted Butter & Seasonal Christine Ferber Jam & Nicoise Olive Tapenade (Unlimited refill!)

There are quite a few new mains as well but my recommendations have to go with the Dry Aged Challans Duck Breast and the barbecue Japanese Pork Belly.

Finally, desserts led by @mille.valentin . Their chocolate soufflé game is still strong but if you would like to have something light then the new Feuillete Tropezienne with Vanilla & Orange Cream would be a delight!

I am not gonna go into detail about the range of champagne, sparkling wine, white, red, sake and cocktails that are provided. The ones that we have tasted that day are all delights and all can be classified as “happy wine” that suits a brunch setting.

I have previously highly recommended SOMM’s brunch. You have got to try this upgraded 2.0 version if you like the previous one!

Price: HK$718/818/1,118 pp (depending on the alcohol menu that you choose)

-薯餅係我哋必要嘅,佢哋嘅薯餅係長條型,好好味😋,另外叫咗個牛油果去襯返個poached egg 🥳

-至於個甜品我哋就叫咗個pancake同Sourdough french toast , 可能我哋食咗個pancake先,所以就覺得個french toast 酸酸地😂,但其實整體來講都好好味嘅😌

最後嘢飲嘅話,佢呢度有一款好特別咖啡,佢個present都好靚同好高級,用嚟打卡都好靚🙃,而且佢都會有跟奶,如果飲唔到齋啡嘅朋友仔都可以叫嚟試吓😊

整體來講,其實依個用餐體驗都不錯,而且價錢就比bunch平一半咁滯, 食完之後都好飽,另外呢個set都包咗好多杯嘢飲,其實又唔需要free flow 😌,如果大家都係同小編一樣budget 有限,大家都可以試吓依bubbly breakfast 😎,同閨蜜一齊嚟食個豐富嘅早餐,又可以打下卡影吓相,傾吓心事😚

服務唔錯 店員都有禮貌 會介紹菜式同酒類
價錢可以 但以呢個價錢呢個質素

本身諗住食brunch,但想book嘅日子又冇位,所以轉食dinner。Ig見到嘅相都以uni toast為,又好似好靚咁,咁當然就要試下佢。果然,佢的確係for影相用,試過一次就足夠。但佢個豬腩肉的確幾岀色,一梳梳嘅肉充滿肉汁同油香,配埋個barbecue sauce令成個味道提升,連個椰菜都好甜好好食,好想知個食譜係點自己煮🤣🤣

As a big fan of pastry and bread, I was totally attracted by this platter with croissant and sourdough! Main course we chose the egg omelette katsu sando and Japanese bbq pork, the katsu sando was finger licking good! No kidding, first time trying egg katsu, the egg was so smooth and goes so well in this katsu way. The bbq pork was so tender and I love the flavour so much.

We ordered banana pancake and chocolate soufflé for dessert, we love the banana pancake more, the pancake was so fluffy! Chocolate soufflé is their famous dessert there, it taste pretty good, but as both of us are not chocolate fan (we order it just Becoz it is famous and wanted to try), it would be better for us if this is the regular flavour soufflé😂

Overall, this was such a divine meal, as in decent price, great service and ambience, and generous portion of food, and wine free flow !!!! What else can I ask for? A perfect weekend deal for u if u love to drink too😂

We went to Somm for our anniversary. Our decision to try Somm was from all of the positive reviews we read from Google and TripAdvisor. I read all about the personalized service and attention one would get at Somm. We were excited to try a restaurant with such good reviews from the public. Well, we found that to be somewhat misleading. For example, why bother asking about allergies or celebrating any special occasion if the servers have no clue? Where's the "personalized service"? We went to Somm for our anniversary. Our decision to try Somm was from all of the positive reviews we read from Google and TripAdvisor. I read all about the personalized service and attention one would get at Somm. We were excited to try a restaurant with such good reviews from the public. Well, we found that to be somewhat misleading. For example, why bother asking about allergies or celebrating any special occasion if the servers have no clue? Where's the "personalized service"? The server was robotic, and his wine recommendations were mediocre at best.

It seems every table had ordered the same dishes. Like our neighbors to the left and the right, we had the French sea urchin toast and Bouchot mussels to start, followed by the Japanese-style pork belly with Hakata cabbage and the sake steamed saba mackerel as the main. The Uni toast was tasty, and the mussels were petite. Unfortunately, many of the mussel shells were unopened and not safe to eat. The pork belly with barbecue sauce was just ordinary, nothing close to the "to die for" compliments from the reviews. The steamed mackerel was a disappointing dish; it was slightly fishier than it should be and was way below expectation.

We expected a fine dining experience when we were being reminded that there's a dress code when we made the reservation, and the online reviews, somewhat misleading, guided our expectations. I understand new trendy restaurants being on the cutting edge of design, but I draw the line when napkins and utensils are stored in a hidden drawer under the table. I would expect that at a Korean BBQ or a Cha Chaan Teng! The kind of prices Somm charges, I'd expect nothing less than Michelin style quality and service, but instead, we experience a "fine" tribute to the Hong Kong-style cafés. Hate having the feelings of regret leaving actually especially it's our special day. ☹️☹️☹️

服务与它的价格完全不成比例,服务员数量完全不够找服员要叫很久。而且桌子上脏了服务员来回几遍都看不到,都要求擦一下也没有回应。餐中碟子满了很久都不换,要一再要求才换。 最后要求打包,一个服务员说要check3然后就再也没有回来过。结帐也很慢,整体服务乱哄哄,毫无秩序。食物也一般般完全不值这个价,菜品单调,从餐前面包到bites 到starter 几道菜里有无数面包,一晚上光吃面包了,分量倒是挺大 但味道毫无特色,而且环境一般,不会再来了

當中記憶最深刻既係香檳𝐎𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐭 𝐍𝐕,汽泡綿密,花香果香突出,入口清爽。𝐒𝐚𝐤𝐞都唔錯,入口順滑甘甜,但米香唔夠明顯;而紅、白酒都屬於易入口既酒款,不過𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬就一般般,未算有驚喜。
