came here on a sunday, asked the maitre d' for a table of four, and he told us that it'll be 30minutes wait and will call us when the table is ready (which I think is a fantastic service). We went up the road for a drink and got a call 45mins later. we headed back down and was asked to wait as the table still wasn't ready, which really defeats the purpose of the call. so we decided to order drinks while we waited outside. After having our drinks, we saw a free table and asked if we could sit down; however the maitre d' replied that it would be easier if we waited outside until the table was set up properly; which took another unnecessary 15 mins. so after about 80-90mins of waiting, we finally got to sit down and order and were explained how the menu worked. we tried ordering a few starters first then pastas afterwards but was told it can't be done like that as the pastas come out whenever they are ready. Again, the inflexibility of the service was confusing to us. In the end, we ordered 3 starters and 4 pastas to share. The food was fresh and the pasta made in house ; however the serving size was tiny for the price. The presentation of 'pici cacio e pepe' was non existent, and looked like a lump of mess in a cheesey 'gravy'. The pappardelle was my favourite. with a drink,it came out at$305 per person.

This was my second time at Pici, and first time at their new Central branch.

I ordered their lunch set with Parma ham as starters, tagliatelle with Italian sausage as the main and tiramisu for dessert.

Again, the pasta was underwhelming. It might just be a matter of personal taste, but like the truffle tagliolini last time, this tagliatelle dish failed to wow me with its bland flavours. I prefer my pasta in rich sauce and that's just not Pici's style.

That said, the set lunch is at a reasonable price of HKD$148 with a generous portion of starter and surprisingly good tiramisu. Oh, and did I mention the tiramisu? Definitely the best part of the meal.

I give it a 3/5 - a decent choice if you're in the area and don't know where to go, but not worth a wait/trip.

As a fan of Pirata Group’s restaurants, I was super excited when I found that Pici was opening in Central. My friends and I went for lunch and it definitely was worth the hike up Aberdeen Street. At 148 dollars for three courses, the set lunch is great value for money and is mouth-wateringly delicious. For the appetisers, we ordered the burrata cheese and Parma ham. The burrata cheese was soft and creamy and went really well with the rocket and cherry tomorrow. The Parma ham was equally tasty and we were pleasantly surprised at how generous the portions were. For the mains, the standout was definitely the lasagne. The cheese was sizzling when it arrived and we could not wait to dig in. The pasta practically melted in your mouth and oozing with cheese. Definitely a must try! We also enjoyed the other pasta dishes- a tagliatelle with beef and a tagliolini with burrata cheese and pistachios. We finished off the meal with delicious desserts, a tiramisu and panna cotta. This was a great meal and I can’t wait to go again!
