晚飯訂了8:30,就是為了先來個生蠔pre-dinner,在跑馬地吃oyster,此店當然是首選,先開了一瓶"Chablis",medium dry,清新爽口,果味芳香而不太甜,不愧生蠔之最佳配撘.生蠔了5款如下...BretonneIrish premiumSydney rockFine de claireWhite pearl其中以White pearl最為出色,入口爽脆,蠔味、海水味濃郁,aftertaste強勁,蠔味留於口中良久不散,令人回味無窮,超正!!美酒加靚蠔,作為晚前的頭盆,需則略貴,但食得高興,老友生日,無計!

yup, not bad at all. the svc is good, the waiters are nice, the oysters are fresh. they have very good selections. we bought 2 bottles of wine and the waiter/manager was nice enough to waive the cockage charge!!!so yes, go give it a try if you are looking for a fresh oyster night.

見Openrice咁多人推介,適逢Mr. H 生日,梗係要去試吓啦,當然主攻蠔,一打開manu,嘩!都有成三十幾種,多過好多oyster bar,但當然唔係種種都有貨啦,Belon要到10月先有,我o地叫o左Kumamoto、South Pacific、Irish Premium、Fine de Claire、White Pearl同Sydney Rock,之後再加碼Fine de Claire同White Pearl,整體o黎講都好新鮮好甜,White Pearl簡直正啦,次次食都咁好食,唔捨得吞落肚,哈哈!好耐未食過咁圓滿o既一餐喇,當然有嗌白酒啦,嗌o左支德國o既,我鍾意甜o的,係店長推介o架,食蠔一絕!但係熱盤就麻麻喇!羊架同鴨胸意粉好普通,不過我o地主攻蠔就冇所謂啦,裝修氣氛好一般,有o的快餐店feel,可能人o地個名真係叫「Express」掛。

I live in Happy Valley, but this is the first time I had oysters here. I really do care a lot about the freshness of the oysters and won't want to pay a visit to nearby neighbor (HK sanitorium).We look up openrice and decided to give it a try.We ordered some Cherry Stone, Fine de Claire, etc. My significant other is a oyster manic so she ordered a total of two dozen of varies kinds. They are really fresh and tasty. We also had a bottle of wine, a pasta and a soup.Pricing though is quite expensive and but still below Oyster and Wine bar, which is my benchmark for oysters (safe and tasty). Service is decent and friendly but a bit slow considering that there are only four tables (especially the lobster bisque which is just ok). Overall it is a place worth a try. Didn't get to meet the boss ,Winnie Leung, who meets local celebrity regularly.One more thing, the environment is quite bar type with stools and tables, but a lot brighter with TV.雖然住跑馬地,但今次係第一次响翻呢度食壕。因我太重視壕嘅新鮮度,費事要去理左近(養和).睇完本網頁後决定去呢間。去到叫咗啲Cherry Stone, Fine de Claire等。因我的另一半是壕痴,所以叫咗兩打。每一個品種都非常新鮮。我哋仲叫咗個意粉,龍蝦湯同開咗支酒。價錢都唔平,但平過Oyster and Wine bar,我對生壕嘅指摽(安全及好味),服務算係幾好同友善,但就較慢(上湯時得四枱客).總括嚟講都試得過。老板娘Winnie成日都有名人客,過今次見唔到。差啲漏咗,環境都似吧(有高櫈),但光猛好多同有電視。

We told the waiter that we like the "metallic taste", like that of the Sydney Rock type, and asked him to recommend some "metallic taste" and fresh ones. He recommened Irish premium, White Pearl and Fine de Claire. We also ordered the Tasmania.No doubt about the freshness. So far, the freshest I've tried in HK. HOWEVER, I doubt about the knowledge of the waiter. He told me that White Pearl has very strong metallic taste, he said it's stronger than Sydney Rock. No, no, no! All 3 types that he recommended are not metallic taste, or at least not metallic enough.We also tried the "Baked Hokkaido Big Crab Leg" ($188). So small it was! That's absolutely overpriced! The crab leg itself is not big, and there is nothing on the side.Garlic bread is NOT recommended, too. Yes, there is butter and there is garlic and there is bread. Somehow, the dish they made just didn't blend the three ingredients together well. This is a below standard garlic bread.And when it's time to pay, we checked the bill carefully. They charged us $3xx more! How careless can that be?I think I won't come again.
