This restaurant has been on my to do list for a while now and seemed to be very demanded - I had to make the booking 10 days in advance in order to secure a table! The space is very cosy with 4 large booths, beautiful paintings up on the walls; The washrooms are very unique (you should check it out!). The space is very cosy with 4 large booths, beautiful paintings up on the walls; The washrooms are very unique (you should check it out!). As we arrived, we had to wait roughly 15min for the previous table to finish up their meal and were offered drinks - I must say I had the best gin and tonic ever! Once the table available, we were escorted and Brian gave us a little introduction of the dishes on the menu. For 4 people, we roughly ordered 6 dishes and that turned out to be more than we could eat - portions are generous and flavours are just to die for... My personal favourites were:  the samosa, the keema Pau (milk bun) and the cob fish.... I am now eager to go back and cannot speak anything but praises about this restaurant!

I had the worst experience at this restaurant The manager is so rude. I feel sorry for the owner whoever hired him We booked a table arrived and they said we need to wait. After 15 min we still didn't get our table. The table that is suppose to have finished the waiter somehow offer free drinks to the customers while we have. We. Waiting. We asked when the table going to be ready. The manager said it will be ready when it is ready.

We were so mad after waiting for 20 min. We said this we are going to leave and will write a bad review. The manager said "please do ". So here we go !

I bet this restaurant will shut down soon if the kept this manager.

We came as a group of five and it was just the right number so we could try a lot of the menu. There were a few stand out dishes included the samosa chaat and the keema pau for starters and basically anything out of the tandoor was incredible but especially the fish. It's a small restaurant so you need to book ahead, go for a late booking and end your meal with a Black Label like they do in Punjab (apparently). The toilet decoration is also a fun surprise.

WOW. This place truly blew us away, and actually managed to exceed the hype (and there was a LOT of it). We went there for a late-night Saturday dinner, to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff were AMAZING, special shout out to Sanjit who knocked our socks off and truly went above and beyond to make it special. The whiskey he plied us with at the end (apparently a Punjabi tradition) was almost TOO hospitable... we were pretty merry when we left! Oh and the gin trolley is a really nice touch t

We went there for a late-night Saturday dinner, to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff were AMAZING, special shout out to Sanjit who knocked our socks off and truly went above and beyond to make it special. The whiskey he plied us with at the end (apparently a Punjabi tradition) was almost TOO hospitable... we were pretty merry when we left! Oh and the gin trolley is a really nice touch too, you choose your gin then and there and they make it for you (I'm big on gin and they have Ophir which is my favourite). 

The food: we let Sanjit/chef do the ordering for us and he chose very well. There was only the two of us but we got to try a variety of different dishes, everything was so flavourful and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. They use varying levels of spice but nothing is crazy spicy. The samosa chaat was unforgettable, a rainbow of colours and textures that was comfort food on a whole new level, so delicious, and the fish starter (apparently a Punjabi take on English fish & chips) was so delicious we'd have ordered another if we didn't have so much else coming. 

Glad we paced ourselves because the lamb chops are HUGE, super impressive, but really tender and fell apart from the bone. 

The sticky toffee carrot cake pudding is possibly the best dessert I've ever eaten.

I made a reservation here and was so excited to check it out because I have heard great things. It did not disappoint.The room is so pretty. I love all the art and the lighting makes every table look like it's VIP.  Since it's such a small restaurant, it feels like a club and for those in-the-know. The servers all wear cool Indian suits, and they brought over a gin cart when we arrived. We started with the samosas which were crispy and warm, covered with some sweet and sour sauces. It was SO good. We also got the wagyu kebab and it was nicely spiced.
Next, we had the lamb chops. The beet sauce was a nice addition and the grilled onion was sweet and tender. We also had the tandoori machali. It was a nice surprise and ended up being our favourite dish of the night. It was two big pieces of white fish with crispy skin. I had never had fish cooked like this before. We rounded it out with some naan, raita, chutneys and veggies.
For dessert, we had a lemon posset which was more British but a nice end to the meal.

I have high expectation for this restaurant but it ended with one of the worst experience in terms of service I have ever had in my life. The food is okay but still a far cry from Gymkhana, Trishna, or Amaya in London. We arrived early at the restaurant so we have to wait outside for our table but when it’s time, we sat down at the few seats that were available next to the maitre d’ who told us our table will be ready shortly. After a 15 minute wait, they started to set up our table as told by the maitre d’. Before we know, a gentleman came in and decided to sit down on the table to claim his reservation. The maitre d’ and our party was shocked but nobody at the restaurant decided to do anything and we have to wait for another 10-15 minutes before we could finally sit down at a table for 6 which is really fit for 4. After numerous request, they reluctantly gave us another chair so we could sit more comfortably. We were supposed to have this table for two hours but the maitre d’ told us we could have it as long as we would like. The food were so rushed that there weren’t enough space on the table and I can see this coming. After we finished our meal and decided to order the desserts, the waiter told us that time is up and we have to return our table. Only after complaining that we we were given our table late and maitre d’ agreed we could stay longer, then they agreed to let us stay. And I must mention that the head waiter or manager of the restaurant decided to ignore you by looking away every time I tried to get his attention! It’s such an unpleasant dinning experience at a supposed to be upscale restaurant, I would rather not go back again.

We got over the hype of our 1st visit & thought its probably a good idea to revisit them after 20 days to form a better opinion of their food. We kept our focus on the tandoor grill again as that is what we loved more!What to avoid - the sides or the chutneys or the dips. Whatever you call them. They are extremely Instagram worthy but don't do justice to the food, in fact our group thought they are letting the food down. The chili dip with wagyu seekh was OK, the beetroot with the lamb chops-bad

What to avoid - the sides or the chutneys or the dips. Whatever you call them. They are extremely Instagram worthy but don't do justice to the food, in fact our group thought they are letting the food down. The chili dip with wagyu seekh was OK, the beetroot with the lamb chops-bad, the cherry tomato dip with the fish unnecessary and we didn't even try the one with beef boti. 

Whats good - EVERYTHING tandoor. The marination is brilliant, the herbs & spices so perfectly balanced, the meat deliciously grilled. 
Wagyu beef seekh came with its rich aroma of authentic seekh masala with lemon squeezed on the top. Two skewers were gobbled very quickly but thanks to amazing service we didn't have to wait long. 

Lamb chops in our opinion are the hero of the kitchen. Two delicious and very large chops were thoroughly enjoyed. They were marinated to perfection and at medium rare-ish, it was the juiciest, full of flavor chaanp we've had in a very very long time. 

Tandoori fish brought back memories of my childhood in Karachi when on a friday night we would go eat machli (fish) in a large group with cousins, uncles & aunts. Clearly, they have done justice to this meal. Very flavorsome, perfectly cooked this is a sure hit. 

Coming from this side of Punjab, we love our beef and specially if its not in a curry. This is exactly what this place offers as beef boti. Unpretentious, yet rich in taste and juicy chunks of beefs, slightly smokey and perfectly tandoored. 

As an after thought, we ordered their butter chicken (or makhini) even though we aren't big fans of the dish. Our opinion wasn't changed as it felt like any other butter chicken we've had in Hong Kong. It's not bad but it wouldn't bowl you over either. 

Our verdict: Hands down the best desi grill or tandoor in town. It's juicy, tender, flavorsome and not overly spicy. It doesn't have the creamy orange/red feel that every other Indian restaurant has. The service is top notch and you are sure to have an amazing time.

新开歺厅, 环境舒服, 食物好味, 而且服务好好。讲真, 我好impressed果度d印度服务员dress up哂, 服务认真,态度很好,敬业乐业, 非常professional。讚!叫了三种不同的drinks, 不错。前菜已经挺开胃,main course 真的不错,有不同的香料混在一起, 闻到已经知道非常香, 鱼好好, 羊架都係, 其他肉如果嫩啲更好, 醬汁都唔錯, 濃d更加好(抑或想就香港人口味?)甜品得3款,我们全叫了, 不錯。下次可以再来,希望水平不要退步啊。
