話說,上週五終於與友人去了期待已久的Fukuro,超興奮😆 因為餐廳不接受預約,我6:30到達,店員先記下名字,就說大約要等一小時。幸好Soho有好多酒吧/飲料店,走進了一間買杯喝的,等了大約4️⃣5️⃣分鐘後,店員就打電話來,說可以入座了。2️⃣個人的話,應該大概都是坐bar枱的位置。首先,Crispy Caramel Butter Corn 🌽 ($58) 是 一❗️定❗️要❗️點❗️的❗️好重要啊,因為真的超超超好吃‼️ 半圓形的粟米本來已經又甜又juicy,再被香脆的焦糖包圍住,口感好豐富🤤另外,覺得Yaki Udon也好不錯😋蟹肉超多,汁好creamy,還有些脆粒。烏冬怪表示最重要的是烏冬夠彈牙,我清了大部份😝生蠔($68/2隻)也挺值得吃啊,超肥美,重海水味,性價比高🤩不過和牛Wagyu Zabuton ($248) 就有點失望,外貌好吸引,但吃下去根挺多的😭😭 不過問過曾經到坊的朋友,有些說牛肉質感非常嫩滑,所以就要看看大家的luck了。最後,是Saikyo Miso Black Cod ($198),魚質嫩滑,不過稍微油膩一點,味道不過不失。總括而言,食物質素是有驚喜的,而且份量剛好,不會太少

最後,是Saikyo Miso Black Cod ($198),魚質嫩滑,不過稍微油膩一點,味道不過不失。


總括而言,食物質素是有驚喜的,而且份量剛好,不會太少,下次來要試芝麻菠菜和甜品😍 唯一就是餐廳不接受預約這點有點麻煩,週五或週末晚上來就要等位了。

Fukuro是收藏很久的餐廳,最初在Ins上看到一張烏冬面的照片,甚為誘人,立馬將餐廳收藏起來。週末來的比較早,進門直接有座位,餐廳不大,氛圍很好,隨意又有活力。Japanese omelette,日式蛋捲配白蘿蔔泥加三文魚籽,口感很清涼適合夏天。個人覺得這三種食材不是很搭配,蛋捲(涼的)的甜、魚籽的咸、蘿蔔泥的爽口,加上三種不同的質地口感,似乎不是很和諧。Crispy Caramel Butter Corn看名字就知道味道不會錯的一道菜。作為深愛炸玉米、焦糖、和黃油的我來講,這是必點的菜。如果說缺點的話,就是外面的焦糖炸成了一層糖衣,吃起來和玉米會有脫節的感覺,但是總體還是推薦的。Prawn Tempura搭配aonori(青海苔碎)和spicy mayo,天府羅的外衣比較厚,但是味道沒得挑剔。  Market fish tartare with yuzu kosho (柚子胡椒),用紫蘇葉包裹吃,味道還不錯。A4 Wagyu Sukiyaki 搭配蛋黃、蔥隨、金針菇。味道和食材搭配沒問題,A4 Wagyu牛肉的質感不是很好,有好幾口不知道是肉筋還是什麼,完全咬不爛。我個人一看到AX

Japanese omelette,日式蛋捲配白蘿蔔泥加三文魚籽,口感很清涼適合夏天。個人覺得這三種食材不是很搭配,蛋捲(涼的)的甜、魚籽的咸、蘿蔔泥的爽口,加上三種不同的質地口感,似乎不是很和諧。

A4 Wagyu Sukiyaki 搭配蛋黃、蔥隨、金針菇。味道和食材搭配沒問題,A4 Wagyu牛肉的質感不是很好,有好幾口不知道是肉筋還是什麼,完全咬不爛。我個人一看到AX wagyu,期待的總是軟綿綿口感的牛肉,所以有點低於預期。

Yaki Udon搭配雪蟹肉和crab miso butter。 當初就是被這道菜吸引而來,果然沒有讓人失望。蟹肉給的量很充足,醬汁味道綿密濃郁,這道烏冬面我給滿分!

這裡的cocktail、sake的選擇不少,餐廳氛圍也十分適合小酌一杯,由於當天有事所以我只點了一杯highball。下次來一定多點幾杯。 

fukuro給我的感覺是「高端新派居酒屋」,食物從創新到味道已經非常不錯了,雖然也有一兩道我不是特別喜歡或者覺得一般的,但是總體的餐廳氣氛和用餐體驗我都十分喜歡,下次絕對會再來。推薦!

Tip: Go EARLY otherwise you will end up waiting 1.5 hours. Must haves: Crispy Caramel Butter Corn (yes it sounds sweet but it is done so well, lightly fried tempura batter that is sweet and savory to perfection. NZ Salmon cured in sakura I've had salmon from Norway and Canada, the extra step of curing the salmon adds a whole other dimension and I could not get enough of it! Calamari Salad the mizuna and yuzu dressing pairs well and it's topped with cheese that surprisingly goes well! My friend licked up all the sauce enough said! Hamachi Collar almost every Japanese restaurant has this but the way that the flavors are melded into the hamachi and the sauce that goes with it, I understand why it's one of their signature dishes. A4 Wagyu Sukiyaki the flavors are light which is perfectly balanced with the fattiness of the wagyu that just melts in your mouth. Dessert I'm not a dessert person at all but this modern take on the ice cream sandwich blew my mind. Picture a huge rice cracker macaron filled with kombu ice cream with some magical jelly inside. Yup it's truly magical.

Impressed! It's a whole package, good food and amicable staff. The Crispy Caramel Butter Corn and Spinach Ohitashi are a must try, both dishes are unique and creative in their own way. The Black Cod was very well cooked as well, definitely fresh meat. Yaki Udon, it's a mix of crab miso butter, sounds special but not quite what I expected, it was a bit bland. Wagyu Zabuton, looks great on photo, but I've tried something much better. The dessert, Monaka Ice Cream Sandwich, it's either you like it

因為喜歡食物味道,短期內已經是第三次來。亦明顯見到餐廳已做出成績,要排長龍,亦甚至有西人不介意,坐在梯級上吃東西........個人認為好吃的菜有芝麻波菜、烤粟米、烏冬,必食。甜品雪糕亦不錯。(釜飯同豬肉就弱雞啲,盼改善)

manager 記性好好,仲記得客人名字同上次叫過乜菜。味道整體好好,芝麻醬惹味非常,魚生海鮮亦好,甜玉米我最愛,但是釜飯不及烏冬好味。下次可以再試其他食物。繼續努力。

An overall total dining experience, I think the environment and service really makes this place special. The food is good and the ingredients are fresh. Service:
The Service here is beyond amazing, we were served by a dedicated waiter who introduced us to his favourites and explained each dish to us as they were served.
There was actually a small problem with one of the dish served but he quickly replaced it with another dish on the house which was beyond what a normal restaurant would have done.
Environment:
The restaurant is a bit small meaning that the seating area were tightly packed. 🧐If they were to reduce the seating area a bit more ... it would have been uncomfortable but at this moment - the seating area is manageable but not spacious.
The noise level was quite loud in the restaurant, giving it a fun atmosphere. However ... however... they keep shouting : “FUKURO” to welcome each and every new customer. I think that’s great as a brand recognition thing , but sometimes a bit too much .... which can be quite irritating
I would suggest toning it down a little bit in respect to the diners at the restaurant.

Value:
I think the portion size is good and the price for the quality matches. I would say that this is a good price point.
Food/ Taste:
The food quality here is great, some dishes were very special and some were quite average.

I highly recommend the sweet corn and the Hamachi collar.


Here is my review of each dish~
Crispy Caramel Butter Corn: a highly recommended dish and also the highlight. It’s so yummy, it wasn’t too sweet but sweet enough to give that sugar coating the crunch. The sweetcorn inside remained juicy and soft.

Spinach with Sesame Sauce : an healthy option which remains very flavourful. We also highly recommend this too.

Hamachi Collar is our next favourite. The fish meat is so tender and soft, this section is not fat either. The sauce can be quite over empowering sometimes but because the fish meat is so good, we really like it.

The egg plant was okay ... we wish it had a bit more miso because the egg plant is massive , once you get into the middle of the egg plant, it’s flavourless. Nevertheless, the cooking of the egg plant was cooked very well

the ice cream was seaweed flavour with cherry blossom sauce. Sounds quite interesting right? Well the taste is even more interesting, it tasted a bit like salted Carmel but a savory version. It wasn’t too sweet but just enough to make it a perfect dessert.
