This dish was quite dissapointing - there was nothing special about it at all especially for this price.

The beef was quite chewy, and the sauce was mediocre. At least the fries served with this dish was not salty and was quite tasty.

 Linguine de fruits de mer (Assorted seafood and braised leek in a rich terragon cream sauce) - $195

This dish was very nice. The noodles were cooked with a good consitency and the sauce was very delicious.

 The "Beer Bible" had such a huge selection of so many different beers

We asked the waiter what was recommended.
He suggested "De Verboden Vrucht"
Very sweet and tasty!

三月下旬‧有雨在週五飯局前，在此跟一位網路界猛人及商界精英喝點東西。先來一杯Leffe Blonde，金色的顏色很美，味道清新也帶甜味，清爽。再來一round，大家已轉了白酒，我喝的仍然是Leffe Blonde。是日金句「識多個人，好過識多個字」。

先來一杯Leffe Blonde，金色的顏色很美，味道清新也帶甜味，清爽。

記得上次在中環的Frites吃了非常飽但也非常滿足的晚餐，這天突然很有吃青口的衝動，雖然中環店滿座，但幸好灣仔的新分店座位供應沒那麼緊張，所以可以先訂座，七時再舒舒服服的去吃個晚飯．從前的三里屯已經裝修番新好，更改名為Brim 28，走了一圈終於找到訂了座的Frites，坐滿了下班來喝一杯的上班族．酒吧室內很暗，看不見裝修是怎樣的：用的木枱刀叉，看似粗枝大葉，其實粗中有細，處處滲出一種continential(?)的味道．餐牌只是印在毡枱紙上，反而beer list被珍而重之的印在一本叫BEER BIBLE的皮面厚簿上，種類應有食物選擇的數倍之多！加上店的酒吧又光猛又齊備，Frites的重心放在哪裡，從此易而可見吧．一場來到，當然要點青口！這次就要Frites House Mussels口味的，再加一個小沙律，一客燒羊架，就已經足夠了，還得留肚吃甜品呢．也翻了翻聖經，侍應大該是看我不會飲酒的樣子，主動推薦甜美的水果啤酒給我們．說時遲那時快，青口已搶閘上枱，比沙律還要快，why...？之後的食物也緊接著送上，在三分鐘內已是滿枱美食的盛況．最後的反而是啤酒，由酒保親自遞上，並斟了第一杯酒，

說時遲那時快，青口已搶閘上枱，比沙律還要快，why...？之後的食物也緊接著送上，在三分鐘內已是滿枱美食的盛況．最後的反而是啤酒，由酒保親自遞上，並斟了第一杯酒，也為這三分鐘興奮冷靜一下．

 呷一口冒泡的冰凍Pêcheresse from Lidemans，入口是充滿活力的碳酸泡沫，味道香甜，酒精含量極底(2.5%?)，像是喝有氣果汁多於liquer，也好：今晚清醒點，味覺更敏銳．

 先不理那偌大的青口煲，向沙律動手：點了簡單的番茄黑醋沙律，用的是大隻的肉茄，多汁清甜，草腥味不甚濃郁；加上點濃縮黑醋汁，甜絲絲的酸味更帶出番茄味．紅洋蔥條微辣，整體是相當清新的沙律．份量也剛好，不會吃得太撐．

 把煲蓋打開，半窩青口直冒煙，是誘人的忌廉甜味！煲邊也夾著麵包一片，薯條一（大）杯，還有那沙律醬，配套十足．新鮮青口隻隻連殼，雖然殼還掛著醬汁令人吃得甚為狼狽，不過那青口肉質豐厚，鮮甜可口無沙，咬下去咸鮮汁液滿瀉，好過癮！

更不能錯過的是煮青口的醬汁：切碎番茄，洋蔥，蒜蓉和忌廉，蔬菜碎炒得又香又軟，忌廉汁更是香得太過份，用來喝也行，真瘋狂！這時那片厚麵包就發揮作用，單吃沒甚趣的它質地緊密，用來點汁吃卻是最對，入口又軟綿又香濃的，好正！如果不是點了其他的菜，單吃這片麵包（或再額外點幾片，亦得）點青口汁，已經叫人滿足不以！

 麵包搶了鏡，一旁的薯條其實也很不錯，條條都是肥大肉厚的，說是big fat fries絕無半點誇張．最衰是被倒汗水沾濕了點，要不是單以其粉綿薯肉和炸得香口的外表，輕輕一擺就能把那麵包ko．當然了，帶點酸味又清新的mayo，也發揮著’吊薯條味’的重責，ketchup？no way！

 其實不太想點Rack of lamb，因為偏貴，不過份量特大，而且味道不錯．果然，送來的羊架連著大塊肉，我想有十安士！

六成熟，閃著肉汁的羊肉看起來很嫩的樣子，表面用開心果和黑椒coat著所以很香很脆，和幼滑的肉對比很大，也很香．羊肉可以更生，質感有點太硬，但最滿意的是那濃烈的羊酥味，很久未吃過這樣酥的西式羊肉了，太令人滿足！芥末可點可不點，反而那rosemary jus太咸，會蓋過羊肉本身．附上的烤蔬菜和粟米餅也很香很好吃，實在太叫人滿足！

 也許是吃得很滿意的關係，也可能是實在太餓，吃了這麼多東西還想來點甜品．雖然也有心太軟，布甸怎的大路選擇，但我的目標是上次吃不下的窩夫－在全港唯一比利時餐廳不吃窩夫，總不成事！可惜的是，這晚餐廳賣光了窩夫，侍者推薦我們點兩人用的apple tarte，難道弄個窩夫真的那麼難？！為甚麼我兩次也吃不到？！T.T

anyway，等了一會，侍應就捧著新鮮弄好的Apple Tarte Tatin過來．先看著她把碟子放好，然後用陰力把那蘋果反撻撣．．撣．．撣出來，直到那撻帶點猶豫的跌出來，然後她再用同樣的陰力把雪糕球撣出來，再把很濃的醬汁倒一圈，就leave it to ourselves．

 新鮮熱辣的蘋果撻被撣得有點醜，煮過的蘋果肉軟稔的頗甜，撻底是酥皮的很香牛油味，乾脆好吃；雪糕球伴著少許crumble香香的，加上帶酒香的醬汁，好香雲呢拿香，和酥皮很夾，好吃！

 雖然這頓飯有點貴，坐的環境也非常’有氣氛’，頭上就是一直播著大隻佬在玩欖球的大電視，左右都是喝得臉紅紅的人，環境也吵耳的．不過食物真的很叫人滿意，也會再為這裡的窩夫再來，下次吃不到不罷休！！

London's Belgo versus Frites Belgium on Tap

I have always wanted to come here, but the locations were not that convenient.I finally got motivated to come because so many new restaurants have opened here such as Greco Pi, which was the one I actually wanted to go, but since it was a cold day, I went to this place instead.Ever since I had moule frites in London, I have always had a craving for them, I tried Belgo’s East in Hong Kong but it was not good.The restaurant style at this place was similar to the Friar tuck style with high ceilings

The restaurant style at this place was similar to the Friar tuck style with high ceilings and wooden tables and benches.
They serve the same range of mussels as Belgo’s.

 However it is slightly cheaper to eat in London, according to Belgo's online menu.
For a kilo of mussels in London it costs £12.95 and for a kilo of mussels here it costs $345 (approx £28).

The mussels were served in half or one kilo portions, so I ordered two half kilos for two different flavours.
I ordered the Laksa and the Hoegarden.

The mussels were fresh just like the London ones, however they were very hairy inside and salty.
The ones in London were not that salty compared to Hong Kong.
The mussels here were so salty that I felt my mouth and throat stung after eating them.

 The Laksa one was the saltier of the two and it tasted like Green curry and nothing like Laksa.
The Hoegarden was not that strong, but it was still too salty.
They were both served with a slice of Rye bread and fries that were fried to perfection, and there was a pot of mayonnaise to go with the fries.

 Overall this restaurant is OK, but I was not satisfied that I had to sit near another table when the restaurant was 90% empty.
If the mussels were not so salty, then it would have been perfect.

頗有格調的比利士酒吧Frites，氣氛好亦不愁沒有好啤酒招呼朋友，而剛由上海回來的她相信不會敏感，天氣沒想天文台預告那麼冷，不穿綿衣在露天位置也不寒涼，我的人生也太熱鬧精彩了，有半區鐘的時間是想靜靜感受小城的人和事，就坐到室外，看看鬼佬豪飲也寫意。作為pub food這裡薯條炸得香脆可口，較令人跌眼鏡的藍貝更值一試；清理後，便各自在微博發送美食分享，道別後又透過Whatsapp相約不日小聚試另一間火鍋店，這是後話。

Don't know where Nicole went for her lunch but it doesn't sound like where 10 of us went for lunch!We had an excellent meal. Majority went for set lunch, choice of chowder soup or beef carpaccio; mains of Lamb Shanks, Salmon escalopes, steak frites (also choice of vegetarian canneloni with feta and pumpkin); choc mousse or coffee to finish. All plates were cleared and appreciated. I went a la carte and had mussels mariniere (mussels also choice of house special, coconut and kaffir lime and more

All plates were cleared and appreciated. I went a la carte and had mussels mariniere (mussels also choice of house special, coconut and kaffir lime and more) plus a very varied menu. Frites were hot and crunchy.
Other tables ordered items like pork knuckle which looked great and was finished.
I would highly recommend this place and will definitely go back.

A beautiful pub and restaurant where good to have a drink and snack but not a formal meal, the food was awful I can say! Lunch menu offered 4 choices and we were not very hungry, so, didn’t try steak with fries (big mistake!) We ordered mushroom risotto with tomato sauce and chicken with pok choy and red rice(it should be brown rice? anyway). The idea of the menu sounds strange, neither Italian nor Asian, anyway, let’s try.The risotto was over cooked like baby food, only ONE mushroom in the di

We ordered mushroom risotto with tomato sauce and chicken with pok choy and red rice(it should be brown rice? anyway). The idea of the menu sounds strange, neither Italian nor Asian, anyway, let’s try.

The risotto was over cooked like baby food, only ONE mushroom in the dish. The chicken rice even worse, local cheap fast food restaurant quality, serve with pok choy was not a good idea and the rice was dry and lack of flavor!

I left half dish of risotto there but the waiter didn’t ask me anything about the food. What a shame! The place was beautiful and offer wide range of beers that’s a real good hangout if the food can let customer happy. Of course, if you only order fries and beer that would be alright but for lunch and dinner, I probably will not go there anymore!
