It was a friend's birthday and we decided to give Boca a try. When we first got there, we brought the cake to the waitress and asked her to put it in the fridge. She told us that there will be a $200 service charge for cutting it at Boca. My friend said - "oh that's quite expensive." The waitress gave her a look and said "In that case, you can speak with my manager." With that, my friend just left her the cake and came back to our table.The variety of food is limited at Boca. It was a friend's birthday and we decided to give Boca a try.

When we first got there, we brought the cake to the waitress and asked her to put it in the fridge. She told us that there will be a $200 service charge for cutting it at Boca. My friend said - "oh that's quite expensive." The waitress gave her a look and said "In that case, you can speak with my manager." With that, my friend just left her the cake and came back to our table.

The variety of food is limited at Boca. Tapas and mains were about 2 to 3 pages only. The better tapas were garlic prawns and calamari. The ham/sausage platter is ok as well. However, all other dishes were below par. The scallops were overcooked and the paella was the worst. The rice was too hard and not enough flavour. It was probably the worst paella I've ever tasted.

We were most disappointed by the service at Boca. Most (but not all) of the waitresses were rude. We were very angry at the incompetence of the waitresses there. Not only did they ask us to pay an expensive service cake charge of $200, they also melted our cake by serving them on HOT plates! When we made our complaints, they did not say sorry and just shrugged at us. So thanks to them, we paid an extra $200 to eat a melting cake. I will not go there again.

Just plain disappointed.Food - There was so much MSG in the food that I was downing water the rest of the night. Honestly with the $$ I am paying I can go somewhere else that has bigger portions and are higher quality too. Service - It was a friend's birthday. So after we got charged with a $200 cake cutting fee, what did we get? Cake served on hot plate. What were they thinking? 午飯時間竟然是水靜河飛,起初是有點擔心的呀,不過也相信好東西是要留待有心人來發掘的 2個人,西班牙菜份量又不算少,實在要細心思量才下決定吃些什麼;看到一眾食家的超吸引brunch照片,不過是日又突然好害怕膽固醇過高(!!對,我是好怕死的年青人.....),最後都是要了一款小吃加西班牙"大鑊飯"GRILLED PRAWNS超好吃,烤的熱烘烘上桌,雖然這樣烹調的蝦難吃極有限,只要蝦子新鮮,不用多加調味,已是上佳的美味啦西班牙海鮮炒飯,熱呼呼的好吸引的樣子,份量很大,其實夠4人吃....不過呢那些海鮮嘛,有點老(特別是那幾舊吞拿魚像豬肉哦),炒飯味道不算突出,就是難忘那些有趣的青豆和酸ARTICHOKE,哈哈

少有的兩姐妹出街食飯,龍也來了join。週六中午的SOHO相當靜,BOCA也不例外,一頓飯有大半時間都是我們包場!加上外藉server,異國情調滿瀉,個人十分享受這種感覺。 學西班牙文的細妹還未懂得西班牙菜,於是由我隨意拍板,要了兩份weekend brunch($109)加tapas: brunch包一杯sangria/bloody mary,細妹不沾酒我與龍一人一杯剛好分掉。sangria是果汁酒自然易入喉,然而bloody mary是意想不到的辣,不知這是不是正宗的口味,總之我甘拜下風~~~ brunch揀了我喜愛的egg benedict與特色flamenco煮蛋:前者除了豐厚蛋黃醬汁與半生熟蛋,還加上風乾火腿,十分滋味;後者是以小熱鑊者煮熱蛋及特色香腸,味帶辛辣,風味獨特,單獨食會較咸,加上附送的麵包籃就剛好。 tapas有分traditional及non-traditional兩大類,我在傳統類中揀了marinated chicken strips,以檸檬汁與蒜茸調味的雞條口味是預期之外的清淡,還附沙律菜,不特別滋味卻勝在易入口;又細妹與龍都是雞迷,要清碟無難度。 餐後還有

學西班牙文的細妹還未懂得西班牙菜,於是由我隨意拍板,要了兩份weekend brunch($109)加tapas:
 
brunch包一杯sangria/bloody mary,細妹不沾酒我與龍一人一杯剛好分掉。sangria是果汁酒自然易入喉,然而bloody mary是意想不到的辣,不知這是不是正宗的口味,總之我甘拜下風~~~
 
brunch揀了我喜愛的egg benedict與特色flamenco煮蛋:前者除了豐厚蛋黃醬汁與半生熟蛋,還加上風乾火腿,十分滋味;後者是以小熱鑊者煮熱蛋及特色香腸,味帶辛辣,風味獨特,單獨食會較咸,加上附送的麵包籃就剛好。

題目「火星」源自細妹的感覺,而我,希望她覺得這是趟開心的火星之旅就夠了!

Rib eye配炸薯角: 嘩!!!! 好大份ah!!! d薯角好多, 一咬係超熱, 外脆裡面軟稔稔, 好滿足; 塊扒就成8成, d邊位好over-cooked, 但都唔'un'; 中間就嫩d 配紅酒汁好味d, 份量十足啊; 而伴碟o既菜一d唔輸sit, 有甜豆、粟米仔同磨菇, 好香!

大蝦忌廉長通粉: size比塊扒輸sit, 但其實好好味個汁好creamy又唔膩; d長通粉係al dente; d蝦有成7、8隻, 好fresh好爽, 正正正!!!

CHOCOLATE SANDWICH: 係佢O既SIGNATURE DESSERT。3層濃濃的CHOCOLATE BROWNIE, 中間再夾CREAM, 好味!

我生日一定再來!!!

西班牙蛋餅則不錯﹐我試了一口﹐覺得和我在西班牙吃的差不多﹐實實的蛋餅很有texture 感﹐而且也很飽肚﹐非常地道。另外那個午餐要了燒雞作主菜﹐想不到西餐的燒雞都燒得頗嫩滑﹐一點都不鞋口﹐是這餐的焦點菜式。

折扣後這餐都不用$180﹐是近來最抵食又算好食的一餐﹐不過我們一致認為就算沒有折扣優惠﹐這裡還是值得再來的。下次可能來試試他們的brunch with unlimited bubbly﹐好像都只是$2xx 一個人。

This is one of my favourite restaurant at SOHO. (Frankly, I found many of the restaurant there are so-so) but this one is nice.Since the restaurant is not very big, booking is needed.I went there with one of my girl friends, we had a caret of Classic Sangria, it's quite good, very fruity.We had the following dishes:1. Since the restaurant is not very big, booking is needed.

I went there with one of my girl friends, we had a caret of Classic Sangria, it's quite good, very fruity.

We had the following dishes:
1. Deep fried calamari- OK, not special.
2. Lemon with baby squid-- very nice, the squid is tender and the souce is very tasty.
3. Eggplant with Goat Cheese-- extremely nice! The eggplant is grilled and the goat cheese is warm, very nice combination.
4. Paella Marianna-- this is a MUST HAVE!!! Very DELICIOUS!! The paella is full of different kind of seafood and the rice has fully absorbed the seafood broth, the smell is soooooooooo nice. Should not miss this.

Overall speaking, it's a very good dinning experience, both me and my friend will go there again.

I had my very first lunch at boca in Soho with my friend this past Monday, and my comment is that food is average but the ambiance is quite relaxing. I used to come here in the evening quite frequently but only for drinks.Because of the heavy traffic passing by in the afternoon and also our dining table right at the front entrance, an enormous amount of black smoke kept blowing into our direction. We chose not to change table because we want to watch the "street scene". The BIG motivation for us

The BIG motivation for us to do lunch here is mainly because of the coupon "BUY ONE GET ONE FREE" I received from the AIDS Concern party. You can still pick up the free coupon from PURE FITNESS in Soho or IFC Mall if you wish. Otherwise, boca is more expensive than quite a few other restaurants in the neighborhood.

They serve 3 different set lunches: one mixed meat(but no beef tenderloin steak or filet mignon provided), one seafood and one pure veggies. So I ordered the mixed meat platter(chicken strips, beef meat balls in tomato sauce, sausages etc.) and my buddy ordered the seafood platter(mixed seafood - the usual stuff). Both platters came with a little bit of veggies in the middle but the food on both platters are very very oily(hopefully good quality olive oil!!!). Some of

The bread served were quite fresh. Dessert was not included in the set and the cappuccino tasted just like regular house coffee.

With the free coupon, I definitely will come back again. OTHERWISE, NO WAY!!! After all, we were the ONLY customers in the whole restaurant during the entire lunch period.

I like Spanish food and this is the first time I tried this restaurant. We ordered:- mixed green salad (ordinary green leaves with balsamic vinegar)- grilled scallops (contains just 2-3 pieces of small scallops, the taste is not bad though)- chicken strip (delicious!)- meatball (quite good but seems they used the spices usually for lamb)- sangria (so-so)- a bread of basket (a big cheat! hi everyone,i had lunch there today. The $88 set lunch consists of homemade breads, soup of the day and mixed tapas platter and a drink. The Food are excellent! what a wonderful selection of tapas: like salami, salad, olives, grilled sardine fish, octopus, meat balls, deep fried calamari, spanish style egg cake... I really enjoyed it! The service was good too, the waitress is very friendly! Must try if you wanna have a good lunch with some friends in soho!

However after my last visit a month ago I really don't think I'd come back in a hurry.Service: it's ALWAYS been bad. Don't wanna generalise but whenever the catering staff is comprised of filipinas/thais their smiles and courtesy is strictly reserved for a particular type of clientele (which makes me wonder why restauranst in HK don't employ locals instead, seeing that loads of them are fluent

Food: Got food posisoning after my last visit, so go figure.

Wine: the only redeeming aspect. So it seems the conclusion is that - go drink and enjoy their decent wine list, but stay clear of the dodgy, overpriced "tapas".

與半年才回港一次的老朋友食飯,順道補祝我同另一老友生日。幸好朋友訂了位,星期二晚竟然係full house,但係得我o地一園中國人。飲品多數都有酒精成粉,我o地四個女仔只係飲了橙汁同sparkling water叫了幾款小食,每份都細細碟,o岩晒我o地D細食女仔,而且可試多D種款式。其中最好食的小食,酥炸魷魚圈,炸得夠脆又香口,再點埋另配的檸檬蜜糖味的醬汁,特別醒胃,不過怕熱氣,所以唔敢多食。Grilled butterfish用了日式照燒煮法,魚身較實及鞋口,不過好入味,而伴碟的酸薑就至好食,食落口夠辣,食得出糖精及色素較少。Salmon fingers-唔知是否炸了關係,食唔出有三文魚,只屬香口野。蒜蓉蘑菇炒得幾香,老友們覺得好好食,我就認為一般。Green salad-都是一般沙律菜,沙律汁亦是一般的橄欖油同黑醋。火腿蘑菇奄烈-火腿蘑菇比例較多,蛋分量較少,口感不算太實,不過煎得唔夠香。Basket of beards-似是一般中上級餐廳的餐前麵包,但好唔抵,細細籃收38蚊。最後主角是西班牙海鮮炒飯,落單是已聲明要等半個鐘,不過大約廿分鐘已來到。海鮮唔夠多,有蝦、魚、帶子、魷魚、

Mozzeralla Sticks-炸芝士條,好似魚手指size,香口,snacks必食.Baby Squid-番茄洋蔥炒魷魚仔,似小炒. 味道尚可.Eggplant with Goat Cheese-嘩! 勁好食! 手心咁大一吋高,暖o既Goat Cheese,配以炸o左o既蒜頭,好味到不得了.同麵包一齊食都正. 淨食配好酒都掂. Encore!Lamb Kebab/Lamb Skewer/Beef Skewer-肉類都做得唔un.好味. 但唔係話好特別.Bread Basket-份量較少.雖則話係tapas,但係$30幾蚊一個bread basket, 六個人每人都只係分到小小, 慳o左些少!Green Salad with Basalmic Vingette-普通green salad. 本來同朋友想食完飯再飲, 但因已經八點幾, 所以黎呢度食飯兼飲. 一坐低即叫了sangria, 但似乎El Cid做得好d. 佢地供應tapas都唔錯, 我地叫炒磨菇, 羊肉串, 炸芝士條, 炸薯蓉魚波, 西班牙肉丸, grilled black cod, 火腿拼盆同麵包(附兩種醬, 其中一種用橄欖油+香料做的好好味).另外叫了一瓶紅酒($250), 呢度外國人比較多, 係度傾飲都幾relex, 我地飲到十一點幾走但依然好多人.
