My friend read the magazine about this new place and booked a table for lunch today.

I would say the lunch was totally out of my expectation, it was excellent. My friend booked a table at the sushi bar. Decorations of the restaurant is good and authentic. Most of the waitresses are Japanese too.

We order two lunch sets, i.e. Sushi U bento and a sashimi set. Every set serves with steamed egg, miso soul, pickles, salad and ice-cream/ coffee. Me and my friend were stunned when the sashimi dish arrived. All the fishes look so fresh and yummy. It includes toro/ tuna/ salmon/ whelk/ ama ebi/ etc etc.... Superb! I'm sharing with my friend. After finishing half of the sashimi, we were already full!! There it came the bento. There were some sashimi, sushi, teriyaki chicken, daikon etc.... It was nice too but just not as good as the sashimi!!!! Dessert came, and it was Vanilla ice-cream with 2 little Japanese mochi. I like the mochi very much and the vanilla ice-cream is very good too. My friend tried a green tea flavour... it's good too, not sweet at all with actual green-tea favour...
I would say the portion is a bit too much for a girl... I would suggesting ordering 2 sets and share between 3 persons. =P

Actually the restaurant was only opened last week and still under soft-opening. Grand opening will be held on 22nd Apr. Highly recommended!!

If you're working in Central and always have a headache to decide where to lunch. Here comes a good place. This must soon be the major rival to Sushi Kyuu XD (though the prices are much higher, around $300 per head).

P.S. Not sure how long this promotion will last, but they don't charge 10% service during this period....

這間 '鮨雄', 好像係跟以前 TST 松戶嘅 '松戶-先生' 同師傅門有關的.
師傅有日本人同香港人. Staff is same.
刀法同握法係幾好的.

Tried Lunch 'sushi set', for $250.
It includes a small serving of sashimi (I think this is only a free service for now), then the lunch set including:
1) Maki rolls with prawns and cucumber
2) Chawan-mushi eggs
3) Side salad
4) Some pickled oshinko vegetables
5) Some more marinated 山菜 (?)
6) 10 pieces of Sushi, 2 pieces of Eggs.
7) Vanilla Gelato (I know it sounds weird, but its not ice cream texturally. More like good old 田園's Japanese Gelati) with Japanese 蕨 mochi.

You cannot choose what type of sushi nigiri's to have, but they do give you really top quality fish and shellfishes of the day, its almost like Omakase Set Lunch. Mine included a Toro that was in between Chu and Big-Toro standard - it was awesome and melted in the mouth. Other fishes/shellfish or Ikura was great! Awesome. Ikura was prepared a bit saltier here but that's only a style problem.

The Sea Urchin in the lunch however, was more than acceptable bitter, this wasn't good enough - hope they monitor this bit in future. This was the only problem however.

Also, I don't mind having better 'wasabi' for my sashimi or sushi, even during lunch time. 鮨廣 and 鮨徳 have same skimping problem during lunch. : (

The rice of the nigiri was really great. Perfectly seasoned and cooked.

Its of the longer stickier grain, which does not really look like 珍珠米, but probably more similar to Nobu's Matsuhisa's preferred nigiri rice? It goes really well with sushi, although it falls apart a bit easier, especially when the shop's counter vs seat distance is so far away!

This shop is still in pre-opening?
Therefore no rating from me until they finalise things.
But its very recommended for lunch, although a bit expensive and with limited choices. They also have 日替定食 & Bentos, also Ladie's set, etc. The interior is very beautiful, almost a Sushi Hiro lookalike - but they also have a private separate room if you wanna book your own sushi master!!
