Similar to Dragon Noodles Academy, the interior is fancy and modern with a Chinese twist that is not old fashioned at all. A perfect meeting place for everyone, from young families to traditional families to couples.

Twin goldfish shrimp dumplings ($99) looked so real and were just too cute to eat! The shrimp was fine but dumpling wrapper was a tad too thick. Understandable though for that look.

Bird shaped baked crispy pineapple puffs ($59) came with a bird cage. How adorable! The puff itself was just as lovely with the buttery pastry and pleasantly sweet and aromatic pineapple filling.

Prosperity toss ($388, for 4-6) has become so popular these days that it can be found almost everywhere during CNY. Yum Cha’s version is more or less the same as the traditional one, where smoked salmon, shredded veggie like radish, carrot, cucumber, deep fried lotus root slices, taro, pepper, grounded peanuts, sesame are tossed and mixed together with sour plum juice and pomelo sauce by everyone at the table. Definitely a fun activity for the kids as we don’t usually get to play with our food. It also makes a great appetizer for the meal with its light and refreshing flavours alongside the healthy ingredients.

Slow braised pork knuckle with tea-smoked eggs ($189) is another well-received dish as it is considered a symbol of prosperity. We all enjoyed this thoroughly marinated pork knuckle and the melt-in-the-mouth skin that didn’t feel fatty at all. Tea-smoked eggs with oozing and gooey egg yolk was another delight too. Worth all the calories and no regrets man.

Whole sea bass - champagne sauce ($239) Always loved this dish ever since I was a kid and Yum Cha’s is even more likeable when topped with pomelo, pomegranate bits and mouthwatering champagne sauce. Crispy fish with sweet and tangy sauce can never go wrong but make sure you finish this as soon as possible, before the batter gets soggy.

Despite being a meatless dish, braised vegetarian parcel ($169) was one of my favourites of the meal. Wrapped in beancurd skin and drenched in thickened sauce, assorted vegetables and mushrooms were wholesome and flavoursome.

We just couldn’t leave without having their hot custard molten buns ($49), of which the videos and photos go viral on Instagram. These buns look simpler than the former dim sums but were still of high cuteness level. The egg custard was smooth, rich and not overly sweet but I prefer the more sandy ones as a salted egg yolk lover. Still a crowd pleaser and a great sweet note to end the meal with.

Overall a reasonably priced CNY menu and delectable dim sum that are extraordinarily cute and photogenic. Worth a try especially for their food and your foodporn collection.

Prosperity Toss 風生水氣 $388 for 4-6 people

One of the most traditional and playful Chinese dishes to share among families during Chinese New Year. The action called Lo Hey “撈起” is to represent the success in the upcoming year. We are meat to toss in different ingredients like shredded carrots, reddish, cabbages, cucumbers, pickled ginger, taro, deep fried lotus root slices, crunchy crisps, along with some toasted sesame seeds, peanuts, smoked salmon, dressed with freshly squeezed sour plum, and plum sauce. It is slightly different from the traditional taste but it is just as refreshing with an appetising sourness and a bit of sweetness.

Cheesy Tiger Prawns Vermicelli 蝦蝦霸霸 $129

Instead of lobster, prawn is an equally good option for this cheesy dish with rice noodles. The prawns are juicy and meaty, while the rice noodle is fried with some crispy bits to it, giving an extra smoky taste and crunchiness. For $129, it’s a valuable dish because there are four giants prawns!

Whole Seabass w Honey Balsamic Sauce / Champagne Sauce 鯉躍龍門 $239

The whole tail of seabass in light batter has been deep fried in hot oil until completely crunchy. The fish fillet has been de-boned already and a thickened sweet champagne sauce has been poured all over. It has a mix of crunchy and soft texture. I particularly liked how they added pomegranate and pomelo to counterbalance with the deep fried goodness.

Money comes easily! The whole knuckled is braised until very succulent and the meat is literally falling off the bone. The eggs have a flavourful tea smoky taste, a perfect touch up to the tender pork meat. At this moment of time, I wish I have a bowl of plain steamed rice to go with it!

Baked Pineapple Puff 鴿吞鳳梨 $59/3 pcs

A classic and upgraded Taiwanese snacks and souvenir. The pineapple fillings is not too sweetened nor dry. It’s very smooth while the pastry has a tasty buttery taste. The bite size bird shaped puff is a cute little delicious sweet treat to savour ourselves.

Hot Custard Buns $49/3 pcs 睇住流奶

You simply cannot come to Yum Cha without drying their hot custard buns, I honestly think that it is one of the best custard buns in Hong Kong. Not too sweet not too rich and they nailed the runny custard fillings every single time. They do have another lava matcha bun but I personally prefer this classic one.

Cream brulee $99

A playful cocktail made with cream, egg white, mascarpone, cream brulee syrup, and black magic spiced rum. It's like drinking baileys but it's much better because it's even creamier and milkier. The spiced rum does give a little kick to this drink, chased by a piece of perfectly toasted marshmallow.

A rather refreshing cocktail made with yuzu ginger honey, mint, nusa cana island rum, and capi thai ginger ale. The alcoholic taste is quite light, not a bad way to pair with our seafood filled dinner!

Apart from some of their popular dim sums, their CNY menu leaves us with no disappointment especially with that generous portion size with that affordable price. 見到好多人介紹這店,剛巧今晚路經這店又不用排隊便入內進餐。見有優惠小食餐,便點了雞絲粉皮,粉皮皮厚,味道不太好。點了皮旦豆腐,皮旦粒色澤淺不太新鮮,無味道,豆腐又唔夠滑。三杯醉雞,與同不相符,不是一件件雞,而是一塊塊雞肉😳。海鮮炒飯,無味。茶芥要$16一位,但茶淡而無味。唉,超失望,無下次!☹️另外餐牌的英文名稱跟order紙的內容有出入,差點兒被誤導。食到好無心機,結果甜品都唔敢叫,豪無信心,免得浪費金錢。

Located in the stylish Nan Fung tower, this Yum Cha branch boasts a huge floor space and chic interiors. Service is generally good and waiters well-trained, especially nice during dinner time. The pretty goldfish bowl plate is also changed regularly. Would suggest increasing waiting staff to provide better attentiveness. for the lunch time crowd though. The oatmeal prawns are amazingly savory. Serving size is rather generous for most dishes (except vege). Always left with a satisfied palate too.


Glad they provide a wider array of teas than that of traditional dim sum places, including chrysanthemum. Would suggest them to use tea leaves instead as the infusion was too weak to be flavorful.


An elegant and très chic place I recommend. Will return again when friends come visiting Hong Kong

Once inside, you will be attracted by the classy interior design. Yet, there are contemporary decorative items, like Chinese serving utensils. I was aroused by the visuals presented to me and my friend was responsible to pick the food. 

I heard that Yum Cha always offers surprising seasonal menu with outrageous designed dim sums. But I guess my friend has helped to piked the general ones of Chinese dim sums. I am not too sure about the exact names of the food shown below but I have tried hard to match them with the prices shown in the receipt down below. I hope you can have an idea of they are.

These buns are good for photo but may not be perfect for taste. And the pink one looked a bit out of the shape. But it's interesting to see a bunch of flowers in a Chinese dim sum cage.

As for savouries, we ordered quite a lot as there were only 2 of us. The Chinese nan (?) was not oily and its better than the Indian style because they were served in palm size so you don't have to tear them off.

The shrimp dumplings taste normal as what I have tried elsewhere. But the little golden thingy on top just helps make them look more classy.

The dish with something dark and yellow was a bit scary in its appearance. But you will be addicted to the sour flavour of the chicken. Get 1 bit of the pineapple and another bite of the chicken would be a perfect rota system of enjoying the dish.

The tofu was good. I like the sesame sauce in particular. Be sure to even distributed the sauce with the slices of tofu; otherwise, the tofu will be a bit dull.

The Chinese noodle-like thingy will definitely make you feel very full. I recommend ordering this if more people are sharing it. It's a bit wasteful for us to order this as 2 of us could not finish it. And the ant-like thingies on the top are quite spicy.

Appetizer 
The appetizer Orange winter melon was a bit weird because we were so used to eating it like a purée texture in soup or dessert rather than for its natural tastelessness. So with the sour and tangy orange flavored juice absorbed in these cold melon chunks, we couldn't quite figure what they were. May be icicle?

Crab roe and pork dumpling wrapped in a becoming green instead of traditional yellow skin that tasted great. At least this Siu Mai had no shrimp here like the traditional although no mushroom but crab roe.

Chef’s specials
Here's our favorite item of the day: Balsamic chicken wings! The thick, sticky, gooey sauce tasted like ginger and vinegar with crispy skin. Simply delectable even though I usually don't like chicken wings.

We also liked this Rice in wild mushroom soup (with minced pork) sprinkled with rice crispies. It had a clear soup base with at least three types of mushroom. The overall taste was light but equally delectable.

Dessert 
I had to admit, I was lost in my la-la land when I finally got to play with this remarkable Hot custard molten bun that looked kinda silly but tasted yummy. On second thought, it was good to have a little play time so the hot custard molten wouldn't burn our mouth.

We were surprised to see three pieces of this Cookies and green tea with Candy Cloud on our table. What a marvelous sight with a sea of fluffy cloudy blue! This was definitely not a traditional yum cha item but surely captivating. The portion was also quite big. It tasted like green tea panna cotta with cookie crumbs.

This place was busy and quite loud but we liked the modern and neat décor as well as food with interesting twists and Chinese names. We had to read the English descriptions to understand what they were.

We left with a big smile on our face. We were entertained and satisfied even though the servers were not informed of this secret tasting menu which left us really confused for 15 minutes when they were gone sorting out with their manager.

『蝦兵蟹醬餃$79HKD』
這道秋季限定的點心是最貴的!但是味道真的好吃,上頭的三顆小黑子,咬下去噴開的味道居然是黑醋味,不知道是自製得還是某種水果?外頭的透明餃皮厚度也剛好有彈性,裡頭的蝦子當然也是新鮮彈牙摟,不然對不起它的價格呀!以整體味道而言是最喜歡的一道~

最後一道是『青瓜皮蝦$69HKD』 
就是用小黃瓜包著蝦子,涼拌類的小吃,算是誤點的一道!昨晚才大吃了日本料理吃到飽的甜蝦,因此看到蝦就有點興趣缺缺,建議大家還是把預算放在造型可愛的點心上摟!

整間餐廳的開闊明亮程度,讓人忘卻置身香港,寬大的空間吃起東西來心情特別好呀!當然這也反映在價格上拉,一個人的茶價就要15HKD,這時候就要落實傳統飲茶精神,主要在喝茶,兩、三道點心是配茶的XD,總共吃了五道點心,結賬是兩個人$360HKD(含10%服務費)。

係尖沙咀飲過茶,喜愛佢地既點心今次就一班人食飯,叫左好多野,包括個小雞?小鳥點心豆腐好薄好滑,雞絲粉皮份量小d,但都幾好食辣既口水雞,好野味,例牌size。菠蘿咕嚕肉 炒牛河同d粉麵份量少,不過不失。炒飯就大份d腸份都夠味,紅番石榴配菜,幾得意好fresh,少見炸魷魚少少多油,但好似有d蛋黃幾好味。另一蛋黃之作係豆角,多油d但好食最後清清地食埋雲吞湯幾特別既一餐。

今天是萬聖節,不知大家會否慶祝萬聖節而扮鬼扮馬呢? 在這邊廂有兩大主題公園為了大家可慶祝萬聖節而設置鬼屋!在另一邊廂,有好姊妹告訴我,最近,她留意到 <飲茶> 的社交網頁,發現推出了一系列萬聖節點心! 於是,約我一起食點心!平日中午時段,也要等位等上一會兒!她先行入座!讓她先點些點心吧!雖然,這裡桌與桌之間空間充裕,中午坐滿客!其實都幾嘈,跟同枱的朋友傾計也要大聲些少呀!當我見到個萬聖節點心餐牌,其賣相既驚喜又戔鬼! 萬聖節點心午餐中指叉燒 $59/ 3 件一問店員才得知這是叉燒酥, 條狀的叉燒酥頂端加上一粒果仁,看起來即時變成一隻手指, 不得不佩服點心師傅的創意!叉燒酥很鬆化,叉燒甜而不膩口,內外兼備! 相對少料!鬼頭蝦餃 $59/ 3 件鬼頭賣相的蝦餃未至於太駭人!蝦餃皮入口煙韌,內裡起碼兩隻爽口彈牙的蝦,絕不欺客!蝙蝠雲吞 $59/ 4件剛剛嚐過蒸點心,這款炸雲吞炸至金黃色,師傅巧妙地把雲吞做成蝙蝠的造型,加上一對眼仔,精靈可愛! 以小金屬箱子盛載,好像一群蝙蝠從箱子裡飛出來!炸雲吞皮脆卜卜!蝦肉入味又夠爽口,外脆內軟雙重口感!木乃伊腸 $59/ 2 件把平平無奇

一問店員才得知這是叉燒酥,
 條狀的叉燒酥頂端加上一粒果仁,看起來即時變成一隻手指,
 不得不佩服點心師傅的創意!
叉燒酥很鬆化,叉燒甜而不膩口,內外兼備!

剛剛嚐過蒸點心,這款炸雲吞炸至金黃色,師傅巧妙地把雲吞做成蝙蝠的造型,加上一對眼仔,精靈可愛!
以小金屬箱子盛載,好像一群蝙蝠從箱子裡飛出來!


炸雲吞皮脆卜卜!蝦肉入味又夠爽口,外脆內軟雙重口感!
