I just had dinner there and:hubby said chicken satay was goodI liked their Thai ice tea.. that is really hard to mess up. The tom yum soup was good and tasted athentic.. The fried rice was not authentic or thai but tasted alright. The morning glory stir fry was delish to my taste buds but, it had more of a chinese flavor. I had a little bit of the curry sauce with my rice and found it was not proper thai at all. They were missing kiefer lime leaves and ginger and the coconut milk was boilded on

I had a little bit of the curry sauce with my rice and found it was not proper thai at all. They were missing kiefer lime leaves and ginger and the coconut milk was boilded on too high of heat.. it took away the aroma of the coconut milk. 
The desert was nice.. 


The service was a little slow for me. The waitress was not attentive to the table. 

Service is everything in America because service=tips there. 

Would i go there again.. sure i will. It's decent..

Just two of us, so we didn't have to wait. The restaurant was empty. I hate that. It always makes me think the food is gonna be bad. So, we ordered the set menu. Some of the food was not bad. But then the curry came. Worst curry I have ever eaten, Thai or not. Watery and just bad. Also, the fresh coconut cake jelly was terrible. You could bounce it off the walls.

Two of us are so hungry and therefore we did not bother with the menu and went for the dinner set for two. The Tom yum was Surprisingly good. We asked for extra hot but there is no extra oil. This soup is usually quite oily in other places but there soup here is not. The stirred fried mince salad was very nice. It is loaded with the scent of lemongrass and Thai ginger! Very refreshing !In general, the food here is less oily than those in other places (Esp the chain restaurant). Will surely go t

I live in the neighbourhood so I decided to check out Thai Pad as it looks like a cozy casual neighbourhood restaurant. I was with just one other friend so we ordered the Pineapple Rice and the Curry in Bread. The first was normal Thai fare, pretty good by Hong Kong standards. What really hit the spot was the Curry in Bread. The perfect spicy kick, a generous portion of meat topped off with the crunchy freshly baked bread. Absolutely delicious! I will definitely be going back.

看見食評不錯又有個朋友介紹, 所以就來試試。環境好舒服, 坐位也好寬敞, 不會坐得太迫, 可能不是太多人, 吃完也沒有催埋單。如果不抽煙的朋友, 最好不要坐窗口位, 抽煙系統麻麻, 有些焗促。我們點了菠蘿炒飯, 青咖哩雞, 辣椒肉碎茄子, satay , 薄餅和牛肉湯麵。菠蘿炒飯炒得非常好, 味道剛剛好。青咖哩雞也不錯, 個汁好香, 雞肉不會煮得太乾, 配飯一流。服務very good , 幾有禮貌, 食物上得也好快。

一行五人,放工專程來此狂食泰菜,今次已經第二次來此了。未到七點,人不多,只有一檯客人。今次我們的第一目標是冬蔭功湯,另外還叫了炒粉麵飯和小食。粉麵飯還可跟餐叫,晚上仍有特價餐,好抵食!冬蔭功湯,裡面有數隻一開為二的連殼蝦,還有很多秀珍菇和蕃茄,當然少不了大量香料,湯的份量不算多,大size大約四人份量吧。滾到熱辣辣飲超美味,這間的冬蔭功湯偏酸,蕃茄味濃,不太辣,不喜辣的朋友都能喝,但如果辣些會更好飲!泰式辣鳳爪:無骨,辣度剛好,鳳爪大大隻,又爽口,下次一定encore!串燒(豬,雞):只試了雞串,雞肉滑口,配沙嗲醬最正!炒通菜:上檯時剛炒起,熱辣辣,通菜翠綠新鮮爽脆,好快就全KO了!泰式乾炒河:有點像乾炒牛河,炒得很入味。泰式炒粉麵還是炒金邊粉最具特色。甜品糕點:不知是甚麼糕,像大菜糕裡面有些椰子粒,但味道太淡,亦不甜,就像吃大菜糕。食到好飽,都只是三百多元,比想像中抵食好多!我還會有第三次光臨的!

When I heard that my friends chose Thai Pad for our mid-week gathering, I was delighted! I was ravenously hungry and started on the crunchy “Prawn Chip" to go with my fresh lime soda. We had asked the charming manager to take the burden of choice off us and bring us whatever he thought was best. Chatting and enjoying the balmy evening air while being perched on a lofty seat by a tall table near the open French window, I let my eyes and nose take in the delights as one delectable dish after anoth

When I heard that my friends chose Thai Pad for our mid-week gathering, I was delighted! I was ravenously hungry and started on the crunchy “Prawn Chip" to go with my fresh lime soda. We had asked the charming manager to take the burden of choice off us and bring us whatever he thought was best. Chatting and enjoying the balmy evening air while being perched on a lofty seat by a tall table near the open French window, I let my eyes and nose take in the delights as one delectable dish after another was set before us. First came the relishes, which are an absolute must try. The most memorable dips were the "Thai Pad Platter" and the “Na Tang Chae” (peanut, coconut milk with Massaman curry), which were served with a selection of fried and raw betel leaves, rice cakes, crispy squares and lettuce leaves, which were ideal carriers for the relishes. HOWEVER, the chef obviously changed something, because this time the texture of the dough was light and elastic, but not chewy, and the temperature, consistency and flavour of the whole package was perfectly balanced. Unfortunately, these little gems disappeared far too quickly from our table, so I never got the chance of a second helping. Next came the “Curry Crab”, my absolute favourite – a perfectly balanced concoction of galangal, ginger, peanut, chilli, shallot, lemongrass, palm sugar and jam that is then wrapped into a fresh betel leaf before being transferred whole into the mouth, where it triggers a firework of sensual delight, tantalizing every taste bud in a symphony of flavours. (As my brother once put it: "It's like music on your tongue!") Next, we had some “Tom Ka Goong” (a custom-made seafood option of the "Tom Ka Gai" soup with sour tamarind and coconut milk). The soup was perhaps a little too mild for my seasoned, chilli craving mouth but to most novice Thai diners, it is probably a pleasant interlude before the next taste explosion. The next dish I tried was the “Pla Tun Nam Tok” (seared tuna loin with Thai tea leaves and lemongrass sauce) and – wow! That dish deserves 10 out of 10 for flavour, presentation, aroma, texture, succulence, just everything – purrrfect! We then tucked into “Por Pia Poo Nim” (baby soft shell crab rice paper roll with ripened mango, ginger root and Thai herbs), and to my surprise I must say that the crab was much less oily than I expected. The taste was light and crisp and the mango lifted the whole taste experience. As we moved on to the main courses, I was nearly full up already, but I had to try a few more dishes… The “Homok Talay” (seafood in banana leaves with red curry and Thai herbs) was cooked to perfection and the spice was just right so as not to be too overpowering. The "Pad Yod Kha Naeng" (sauteed cabbage sprouts) were absolutely delicious. From experience, I know that it is very difficult to get this Thai vegetable, and I was happy to see that the chef sauteed it just the right amount of time (and with the lid off, so as not to wilt the veg). The "Phad Thai" (fried Thai noodles with prawns, bean curd, dried shrimps, peanuts and bean sprouts) was a delight as always. The noodles being the perfect consistency, not too ‘al dente’, not too mushy, and served with the traditional condiments of peanut, sugar as well as fresh lime, spring onion and coriander. I did make an effort and tried the fried Thai fish, which was also very yummy, but I couldn't do the dessert any justice and had to pass on the "Bua Loy Nam Khing" and "Bua Loy Katee" (rice dumplings in sweet ginger with red sugar and rice dumplings in sweet coconut milk, respectively). Our 'juniors' at the table visibly enjoyed their exotic ice creams, too. All in all, it was a fantastic meal that left you wanting for nothing but a sedan chair to carry you home…
Well done, Thai Pad team – you never fail to impress!

說回正題,我們唯有點A la carte吧,為求吃多一點東西,最後選了四式大拼盤,另點了吃泰菜幾乎必點的冬陰公,最後要了一個泰式雞肉炒河,先來的是四式大拼盤,分別有蝦餅、魚餅、春卷、豬頸肉及炸檸檬葉,另附上泰國甜酸醬及泰式香辣汁,甜酸醬味道非常普通,其實主要是用來蘸蝦餅及魚餅,而用來主打蘸豬頸肉的香辣汁真的是挺惹味,有蒜香而且在少少鹹之中滲有很輕的酸甜味,所以最後吃拼盤內的什麼也蘸它來吃,最後當然要Encore多一碟。

先吃了塊蝦餅,蝦餅外層炸漿又薄又脆,但就是油了點,蝦肉真夠彈牙,可是味道沒什驚喜,蘸點香辣汁真的挺棒;之後吃了春卷,同樣的又是很油,雖然春卷皮是夠薄而一層層脆脆的,但就是每層也油油的,加上其餡一點也不吸引,竟是咖哩素來的,用上芋頭、粉絲、木耳及甘荀,吃入口口感模糊,配上極其微弱的咖哩味,這個真的教人嘖嘖稱奇。

魚餅是是日五款小食中本人最喜歡的,最好吃都是那魚餅了,比上述數款小吃都不油,魚肉彈牙,在魚肉中更有一陣陣金不換的香味,美味也;至於豬頸肉吃得人一口油香,是肥美的,但外層閃閃生光就看來是過油了;最後的炸檸檬葉很是大片,還記得上回在泰爽甜吃此味是非常的過癮,今天的炸醬厚而不夠脆,外層又是一層明顯不必要的油,究竟個廚房點炸食物的呢?

吃過了很Heavy的頭盤,之後就來喝碗湯,先嗅一嗅,沒有了一陣香辣又有點椰子及香茅的香味,喝了一口,冬陰公過酸不不夠辣,最要命的是沒有了人家的神髓,什麼香味也沒有,不夠椰香,甚至於沒有香茅香,也沒有金不換的香味,怎麼攪的?另外湯之內總算有不少的配料,分別有蕃茄仔、豆角、草菇及那隻大頭蝦,可是那蝦的肉地挺霉,所以本人對這個湯也沒什麼好感。

其實喝過了湯及吃過了拼盤已經是飽了九成,但都要吸收一點澱粉質,泰式雞肉炒河用了濕炒的方法,但那個汁真的很茨,無論顏色及味道又真的挺受不住的,加了點面豉也是無濟於事,之後夾了點河粉來看,嘩!究竟是什麼河粉來的,粗身之外河粉有點透薄,莫非是陳村粉來的嗎?蘸上了大量的茨汁來吃,由於茨汁不行,所以也吃不了那麼多。

除了粉之外,面層大量的雜菜如甘荀、菜心莖、草蘑、椰菜花、西蘭花及翠玉瓜,全都煮得軟腍,而那雞肉是超級雪藏雞胸肉,分分鐘是由地球另一邊運送過來的貨色,生硬而沒肉味,什麼肉的纖維組織都吃不了,本人沒有吃太多。

吃過了多款小食、湯及粉麵,這間館子只可以說是不過不失,價錢更比味道較正宗的九龍城貴,相信主要吸納一批住在附近半山的客人,但始終也是食物質素才是最重要,最後也在此澄清一下,本人本篇食評的名稱純粹是以店名攪爛Gag,店家不可用來如此說,否則被蘋果告唔關我事。

有朋友住係附近,佢話揸車經過有間新開既泰國餐廳,平時見都要排隊,於是我地就走去試下,果然係唔錯!我地6個人,叫左兩個沙律,其中一個係柚子沙律,本人覺得好好食,值得推介另外仲有炒雜菜,蒜蓉包,咖哩海鮮包,生牛肉湯河,咖哩海鮮包啲海鮮都好夠料,不過個飽就唔係好夠脆,可能轉用法飽會好啲,另外要推介個冬陰公海鮮湯,超好飲,唔似出面果啲得個辣字,佢有少少甜甜地,料又足,總之個湯就正!Waiter既服務都唔錯,幾有禮貌,值得一讚係幾細心,雖然只係泰國餐廳,但都有意大利餐既服務,waiter會等我地食晒啲前菜先上主菜!稍減覺得佢既座位麻麻,啲枱太大張,兩個人去可能要搭枱,唔知點解唔整卡位,不過我地果日6個就岩岩好,食到好飽埋單800蚊左右,計番一人都係百靚蚊,都算抵食,可次都會再試,

Waiter既服務都唔錯,幾有禮貌,值得一讚係幾細心,雖然只係泰國餐廳,但都有意大利餐既服務,waiter會等我地食晒啲前菜先上主菜!


稍減覺得佢既座位麻麻,啲枱太大張,兩個人去可能要搭枱,唔知點解唔整卡位,不過我地果日6個就岩岩好,食到好飽埋單800蚊左右,計番一人都係百靚蚊,都算抵食,可次都會再試,

搵開野食...諗起呢間restaurant d service....真係要讚好我食開咁多間高級餐廳,都未見過一個小小ge waitress有咁好ge服務態度.....我記得個waitress d頭髮染左個好突出ge紫色...所以我對佢好有印象.....(因為佢冇名牌,所以唔知佢叫咩名,下稱W)當日我見到有位女士(稱A)自己一個黎用膳.....坐係TOILET出面張枱....一個人叫左成3 - 4道菜....我心諗:真食得過左冇耐....我見W經過A張枱...W好奇上前詢問A一些事後.....見W拎個MENU比A....又手指指咁....隱約聽到...A原來對佢某碟菜有太多雜菌....有小許不滿....當W知道時....就更換其他菜比A.....又介紹其餐廳有什麼菜色可供選擇......可是A真的有太多東西不可吃.....擾攘好耐....最後驚動了一位資深員工(W2)....W向W2說了幾句後....拎走一碟菜入KITCHEN.....後送上一碟令A食得開懷的菜....W呢個舉動....真係令我印象深刻!!!令我忍唔住要係度對佢.....『讚好』其他員工....佢地ge服務都值得一讚.

搵開野食...諗起呢間restaurant d service....真係要讚好


我食開咁多間高級餐廳,都未見過一個小小ge waitress有咁好ge服務態度.....
我記得個waitress d頭髮染左個好突出ge紫色...所以我對佢好有印象.....(因為佢冇名牌,所以唔知佢叫咩名,下稱W)

當日我見到有位女士(稱A)自己一個黎用膳.....
坐係TOILET出面張枱....一個人叫左成3 - 4道菜....
我心諗:
真食得

過左冇耐....我見W經過A張枱...
W好奇上前詢問A一些事後.....見W拎個MENU比A....又手指指咁....
隱約聽到...A原來對佢某碟菜有太多雜菌....有小許不滿....
當W知道時....就更換其他菜比A.....又介紹其餐廳有什麼菜色可供選擇......
可是A真的有太多東西不可吃.....擾攘好耐....最後驚動了一位資深員工(W2)....
W向W2說了幾句後....拎走一碟菜入KITCHEN.....後送上一碟令A食得開懷的菜....

W呢個舉動....真係令我印象深刻!!!
令我忍唔住要係度對佢.....『讚好』
其他員工....佢地ge服務都值得一讚....
因為我係一個怕麻煩ge人....
所以叫菜....會一次過叫埋甜品....
呢度ge員工會好細心咁問....
上晒主餐先....甜品得你叫起好嗎??
比起我以前去開一d咁ge餐館....
唔理三七二一.....咩都上晒比你....d甜品擺埋一邊等凍la


所以....一間restaurant有d咁讚ge service同有d咁讚員工......
值得我再光顧

我地兩個人見間舖新開,諗住一試,點知星期六晚8點幾去到,有10 個8 個人响門口等位,咁我地都諗住等,問個相信係經理o既男人有冇兩位,點知佢一口就話:「而家冇位,出面等!」兩個人就論流問佢要等幾耐,點知問咗幾次,唔好話答,佢連望我地都冇,一直當我地透明,一味顧住招呼d外籍人士,唯有好失望兼一肚氣咁走囉!編輯先生:我明伯呢度係寫食評o既,但我地就連食都冇機會食,淨係好想同d網友們分享呢間餐廳响人多o既時候原來係咁樣對待客人o既;身為街坊,睇住佢地由裝修到開舖,至到去幫襯時俾佢地咁對待,由期待到超失望,真係好激氣呀!

The first time, all the three of us gave our set lunch thumbs down and one of us vowed never to return. The chicken in the laksa and the fried noodles was frozen or defrosted - the meat had a bad after tasfe and a "fridge" odour. The tomyum soup was too fake. The second visit with another colleague who has not patronised the place before, was a repeat fiasco! His fried "kum been fun" came with the same fridge odoured chunks of chicken. The soup was again sickening sweet and artificially sour.

The soup was again sickening sweet and artificially sour. I didnt learn, i ordered laksa again. The gravy was definitely not laksa. Sweet flour based "curry" with no laksa flavours. I am south east asian with thai family members. Even if I want to give it some "fusion and customised to local taste bud" marks, I still find the lunch sets pathetic and too fake. Oh the som dom (papaya salad was awful too! flat taste)

睇見新開,見去開探朋友咪試下,六個人Dinner time 9"00pm,叫左---串燒牛,雞---一貫泰菜味道,都好食,特別個醬 ---拼盤--蝦餅魚餅等香口好食 ---青咖哩--辣而香,跟Garlic bread 同 Roti一流 ----咖哩黃金海鮮寶盒,咖哩甜而辣(同麵包載) ---炸軟殼蟹沙律同柚子大蝦就女仔話好好食 ---生牛肉湯河--湯好甜 ---香芒懦米飯香而甜,龍眼冰等都唔錯呀!見到廚房有 D 泰國人,我估都係佢地煮,所以都正宗同有保証!價錢在依區算唔貴了
