Thanks to openrice map search once again we found another great place to eat that so close to home. We have now been to Haylong Bay 3 times in less than 2 months. What an awesome find!Don’t be put off but the tired looking computer mall you need to pass through to get to the restaurant (which by the way is a great place to also pick up cheap computer parts). When you get to your table you have a great people watching view of Queens Road and you’re away from the hustle and bustle of the street below. Food – They have an excellent selection of dishes, and we’ve been making our way through trying as much as we can. To highlight a few items… Their Pho is excellent, the soup base is very tasty, it’s full of noodles and plenty of beef. They give you chilli and lime on the side without asking. This dish is very filling, so be careful if you’re going to order side dishes to go with it. The two salads, pork neck and shredded chicken are both recommended, very tasty and a good amount of meat served in each. Soft shell crab rice rolls were good quality, the crab was still warm when served, yum. There is a chef special rice roll (not sure of the name) but it’s full of meat and noodles and is super yum. The san choy bau is yum. All the vegetable dishes we have tired are good, the broccoli with braised beef…amazing!Service – Always very efficient and friendly, similar to the experience you would receive in a local Hong Kong restaurant. Last time we were there they had run out of the vegetable we wanted, so they ran down to Welcome to get some more, now that’s service!Price – Simply great value for money, maybe they don’t have to charge the same prices as the street level places, but it’s surprisingly cheap for that area and the good quality food. You could easily eat a very cheap meal here if you stick to a set or only one dish, but we wanted to try everything so tend to get carried away.We’ll be back…many more times

偶爾會到夏龍灣吃個便飯. 今天埋頭苦幹到連午飯時間都錯過, 眼見差不多二時, 乾脆等一會到夏龍灣吃下午茶.不知是否物價上漲關係, 食品素質今非昔比. 一個越式蝦醬炒飯, 蝦醬的香除了侍應剛拿來時聞到, 吃下去就如一個普通炒飯, 入口有點'鑊氣'. 飯中配料更令人髲指, 除了必需的蛋,青葱和洋葱, 就只有一些無味的扎肉和'蟹柳'. 份量少不要緊, 況且是下午茶, 比午餐便宜十元且送熱飲, 我也不能計較太多, 不過我給三十四元, 要他們用心一點也不算過份吧, 要不然, 我到7-eleven來個叮叮飯好了.唯獨沒變的, 是員工態度依然殷勤, 咸柑桔依然生津.

之前已經幫襯過這間越南餐館好多次,因為覺得佢地d生牛肉河好正…點知每次黎到d質素越來越差…今次和我屋企人再去點知就出事啦!!一行六人叫了五碗生牛肉河,一碟蝦膏炒飯,小食就叫左蝦餅和香茅豬扒,我的屋企人吃這碗牛肉河就覺得有d怪怪..因為覺得佢地d生牛肉唔似牛肉以是豬肉片…但當我們詢問侍應的時候,侍應尷尬回答是牛肉…至於佢地果個蝦膏炒飯…少少蝦膏的味道都無..我覺得似西炒飯多d囉!!!個蝦餅和香茅豬扒就普普通通無咩特別,最後餐飲叫了一杯要補6元的椰汁紅豆冰(味道超淡d豆又超硬超少) ,凍咸甘吉水和柚子茶不過不失 .總結 : 我最唔鍾意係”將貨就價” 其實我覺得做生意要對得人對得自己,如果d牛肉真係升得咁多咁咪加價囉…唔好攪到個招牌都衰埋..咁樣值得嗎? 現在影了兩張相給您們看(因想大家清楚看到d肉所以放左去隻碟)..這些好像是人造肉一樣..一邊似牛..一邊似豬…都唔知會唔會吃死人!!!!所以我地已經列佢入黑名單,唔會再幫襯..!!

由台灣回香港,第一個欣賞音樂會是和我家姐一起到上環文娛中心觀賞亢帥克 X The Three Think & 香港業餘管弦樂團的演唱會.音樂會的開場時間是晚上8:00. 我和姐姐便在7:00到達了上環打算周圍行行,睇下有什麼餐廳吸引著我們.離遠看見夏龍灣越南餐廳,這一刻便很想吃到撈檬,加上我剛去完台灣旅行,不想吃得太貴的晚飯,所以便選擇了-夏龍灣越南餐廳.夏龍灣越南餐廳有很多set dinner選擇,本人今晚特別想吃到撈檬,所以今晚我便揀選了G) 香茅豬肉撈檬.-$40晚飯來說,價錢真的不貴,一碗撈檬+熱蜂柚子茶都是$40. 雖然價錢不貴,但這碗香茅豬肉撈檬真的很普通了. 講真,撈檬太平凡,我不想說太多了,但這個豬肉便出了問題,因豬肉真的很硬,豬肉真的很少很硬的,雖然味道也算過得去的,不過豬肉硬,沒有口感,真的不想繼續食下去了.唉,早知選擇雞翼啦,不會"硬"也不會"韌",完全沒有風險.就是這樣,家姐也知道豬肉不好吃,怕我只吃撈檬會很乏味,所以也特別Order軟殼蟹米紙卷一起share食. 當中,當然我吃得多一點啦!軟殼蟹米紙卷-$33Menu寫著軟殼蟹米紙卷4件,但職員送上來的,總共有六件.雖然不知他是否給多我們兩件,還是米紙卷的尾是不計算的. 但當中突然bonds地多了兩件,真的覺得是意外的收穫,另一收穫就是軟殼蟹米紙卷味道十分好食,米紙卷內裏的配料味道很合拍,配料不會有其中一項突圍而出的感覺,加上米紙包起,味道真的很fresh,很清新. 米紙卷的味道,真的和香茅豬肉撈檬相差很遠.E) 蝦頭羔鮮蝦湯檬-$45我這一個香茅豬肉撈檬Set dinner,味道真的麻麻,所以我吃淨了很多豬肉. 但相反我的姐姐order這一碗蝦頭羔鮮蝦湯檬,她真的可以把這碗湯檬吃光,她也有試過我這一豬肉撈檬,也嘆氣地說豬肉真的麻麻地,和這一碗蝦頭羔鮮蝦湯檬很大對比,我也試過他的蝦頭羔鮮蝦湯幾口,真的很濃,很香蝦頭羔鮮味,真的很大對比了.如下一次再來,我一定不會揀豬肉,選擇低風險的雞翼吧!

看見食評一面倒的好評, 便慕名前來吃個午餐。老實說, 四十~五十元一個午餐不算便宜。猶幸配料充足也挺精美。同行點的魚丸湯粉、牛腩米線不過不失, 魚丸味道獨特, 牛腩也夠腍。我的牛肉撈檬也有充足的牛肉。總括而言味道是中上, 不算驚為天人所以一碗粉一杯餐飲=這樣的價格, 也實在不太划算...
