Chosen for the location and menu, colleagues and I paid a visit to this restaurant on a Friday afternoon following a busy week.It's challenging to describe quite how poor the service was. A fair reflection would be when the male waiter called my colleague a swearword (I can't repeat it here) because she did not order the drink he brought her, and how my beer did not arrive despite ordering it 4 times within a 45 minute window. One colleague had to wait a full hour longer for her food than everyone else. It was an embarrassment.The food itself is mediocre. Having seen the plethora of people waiting to get a table at this restaurant, we were hopeful that a quality dim sum spot had arrived at our door step. How disappointed we were once we finally got our opportunity to taste their dishes. Having spent ten years here and being married to a HK-foodie, I've had my fair share of dim sum. This fall within the worst 5% category, although it's prices are certainly higher than many others.The rice roll / dumpling skin on every dish was thick and gooey. The BBQ pork within was utterly tasteless, apart from the odd bit of unchewable grit. The deep-fried dishes were prepared to the worst imaginable standard, while the battered calamari was in fact just fried and had no batter.We shan't be back. There is an increasing amount of much better restaurants opening in this area, such as Modern Shanghai. Your money would be better spent at the McDonalds here; at least your expectations will be appropriately managed. HKE…查看更多
