Ordered 5 items off of the tea set menu at 5.37. Didn't realise that the cut off time was 5.30, but apparently neither did the cashier. I ordered and paid in good faith but was accosted 5 minutes after I had sat down by an aggressive skin head waiter who demanded we reorder because of their mistake. I refused and said that I had paid in good faith and you had taken the order without any problems. The guy was totally inflexible so I demanded my money back. After getting another waitress I got the refund and walked out. Honestly, I know they're probably on minimum wage but for lord's sake, take a bit of pride in your work and copy Japan's customer service culture... Not North Korea's!…查看更多

Ate here twice. The first time I ordered 2 mains and got a kid's set free. Just ordered the same only to be told half a KG of mussels doesn't constitute a full meal. But if I'd ordered something for the same price or less the kids meal would have been free. Such a shame they feel the need to cheat us after two good meals here! …查看更多

Well, I was really looking forward to this meal as I had wanted to eat here for a while. The wife and I arrived on time and were immediately shown to our seats. We ordered a nice Rhone Valley white whilst deciding on our mains. The bottle took about ten minutes to arrive and it looked chilled but I'm pretty sure it was put in the freezer for ten minutes as the wine itself was room temperature. Not a good start. We ordered the calamari and mussels as a starter and it looked great. Unfortunately, the sauce had very little flavour and the squid was chewy. My wife had the lamb loin and I had the 24 hour braised venison. The lamb was subtle and quite nice, but the portions were small. My venison came in a pot with polenta and veg and it smelled great. However, having 'been braised' for 24 hours I expected a dish infinitely more tender than the leather boots that arrived. So disappointing. Oh, one final point. The Pawn is a great building with nice decor. But, if you sit on the balcony you are staring straight at a refuse depot over the road.
