Well, I googled best new restaurants in town and found this located in central across from M&S. Bookings were quite full and we had to settle at the bar table.On the way in, u get the feeling that they try very hard at providing a good service in welcoming u.On the menu, u have the choice of a la carte or a family menu course where u get a chef’s choice of 3 starters, 1 main and desserts. We went with a la carte.First up mussels. These were shell less, bathing in a thick shellfish broth with some thin chips.Next up was the seafood stew, it had pieces of cod and lobsters again in a thick sauce.Then we had the pork belly yet again in a saucy case.Overall the taste of these dishes were a bit strong.For dessert, we had the vanilla ice cream with brownie bits. Simple and a bit salty with the caramel sauce.Usually, I don’t mind sitting at the bar but the guy behind the bar kept washing the glasses infront of us. On a rainy Saturday, this restaurant was relatively quiet due to its location but deserves better for their effort. We ordered the cheaper of the 2 omakase. The sashimi and sushi were very fresh. Prawn tempura with Smokey aroma, fish soup were all delicious and definitely very full by the end. Newspaper chicken was interesting and surprisingly good. Service was very good and the chef came to chat with us.Will go back to tried the other menus later.…查看更多

I was hungry after wake surf so a deep fried salty egg yolk chicken leg was the perfect afternoon tea. It was close by right next to the minibus station and there was no queue. However, there is still a 15-20mins wait as they cook to order. They didn’t have the normal sized leg so I was forced to get the jumbo at $43, definitely on the pricy side.It’s a long wait and there are no seats so u may want to take a walk and come back. It’s also very awkward to eat it standing around. Not recommended on a summer hot day. They do give u gloves but refuse chop it to smaller pieces.The deep fry is timed to perfection with the meat cooked just right. The salty egg yolk is painted on in a liquid state so it will kind of soften the crispy skin, bit disappointed here.At this price, I had high expectations but it did not deliver. Rainy Friday night, there are just too many people in cwb. Tucked away in the alley is Frites but still very crowed, you would definitely want to book a table in advance.They have the Stella beer and burger deal with free flow beer but it’s only worth it if you come early and drinks a tonne of beer.We ended up ordering a selection of goodies, chicken Parma with cheese , Mediterranean mussels was very salty , pork knuckles was on par, salad, sliders, were all good.Beer selection is great. Ordered the augustijn grand cru just to try something new. Happy hour finishes at 8pm so better come here early.Overall the food is great but price is not cheap.…查看更多

Came to HK station for lunch today. A friend that works nearby recommended a good pick for a Japanese lunch that doesn’t require queuing. First impression is that they are clean and tidy. They have a good selection on the lunch menu from sashimi rice to cooked beef, pork, chicken dishes. I went for the House recommendation of yuzu pepper pork rice. Sauce was a bit on the salty side, but the refreshing yuzu made up for it. Set also comes with miso soup and salad. :)Service is ok, no need to beg for the tea to be refilled. But they took their time to give u the salad.:)Next time I’ll have to try their sashimi, need to eat something cooler especially in this summer heat. At $82 is not cheap but acceptable.…查看更多
