Avoid this "cafe". When you visit a traditional HK cafe, you expect there to be plenty of good ol' food that brings memory of Hong Kong, along with experiencing the architectural aspect. For here, the food is nothing to rave about. We entered the shop to find few, if any, patrons ordering up food. When it came to ordering, half the menu items were unavailable, which already had a very trimmed menu offering to begin with. On top, the ordered food doesn't necessary come as you expect. We ordered the preserved vegetable with shredded pork noodle. What we got was the preserved vegetable with grounded pork, of which there was barely any grounded pork. I think there is a big difference between shredded and grounded pork and should've been informed of such, unless they can't distinguish between the two types.Macaroni noodles are cheap. They're generic, soft and mushy. Toasts are airy. Eggs are overly scrambled.Unless your stopping by to view the architectural history, this is not your place for a meal.…查看更多
The people who runs this "vietnamese" restaurant, took over the business from what was once a very popular wonton noodle restaurant. After taking over the original business, they ran the business for another 6 months or so. It was then converted to the current vietnamese restuarant. As with any Pho noodle, the key is in the broth, the noodle, and the complimenting sriracha hot sauce.Having tried this place a few times to give it a fair chance, I've concluded that this place fails consistently to provide a nice clear and flavorful beef broth. It is nothing to that of the real thing, but rather more of water, salt, msg and cheap flavoring. The noodles, are nothing to the real thing.. Hor Fun rice noodle is not how it's traditionally served. And when you ask for the Gum Bean Fun (the real noodle), they charge you extra!!Lastly, as with most other places, a good bottle of sriracha complimentary can be used. Not here.. instead, they again charge extra or they say you can buy the bottle of the sriracha and serve generic hot sauce you would find in a thai restaurant. Not worthy of a vietnamese restaurant. With how they serve, you are better of sticking to the traditionally Chinese noodle houses- better value, better tasting, with all that you expect.…查看更多
All of their daily dishes for lunch are prepared ahead of time and kept in steamers to keep them warm. Unfortunately, the heating is below par and as a result the dishes are cold when served. This happened to us while we dined in and interesting enough, as we were eating, a take out customer returned with a similar complaint.Additionally, the chicken dishes we received were under cooked and that resulted in us getting served raw chicken! To make matters worse, the staff were short to provide any kind of sympathy or solution. Rather, they just read out other items on their menu and asked if there were any dishes we wanted. After raw chicken, who's wanting to order anything else and more so with a staff that doesn't seem to care if their patrons get food poison from their raw food.Stay away. Poor food. Poor services. …查看更多
