This pretty sunday, we've got to Corner Kitchen Cafe,I made this top in my must-go list simple because of its pretty red velvet cake!Sadly I have only got my weekends left for leisure hang-outs..I would totally come back for it before saying anything, seldom could I have a place, that I'd love recommend everything that I've tried out!I defo love the food here, and also its settings and its plates! Often see people snapping some beautiful sweet treats shots here,so me and my bestie are coming over here to check'em out.Out of my expectation, it's pretty much like an apoening cafe, while I thought it's a big bright cafe.Anyways, so we've chosen their must-try desserts here,their mini rainbow roll cakes and pancakes!Mini rainbow roll cakesWe have chosen lemon cream, green tea & red bean and chocolate, these 3 minis.The fillings inside are quite rich and strong in fact, but I do think they are bit oerpriced!Around $28 each, while I dont see they worth LOLLemon one is pretty fresh, but say it's quite alike to Garden's lemon cake roll..Green tea and red bean one is okay, but I wouldnt say it's outstandingChocolate one is a bit heavy, the chocolate is quite rich but a bit too sweetI think the only thing differentiate themselves are the pattern outside!It defo nice for some shooting, but frankly abit pricey as their overall quality.Mixed berries pancakeWhen it gets on our table, we are both surprised by its fluffly thick pancake!I do think it's the most adorable one I've ever tried before.The pancakes look soft and fluffy, while they're topped with a huge splash of cream and lots of berries, I totally understand hy girls are always fall for such stunning pretty thing!The pancake tastes good, with good scent of egg. Always wanting to have a nice lunch in my one-hr lunch break during work,this time we got to Hysan! and we found heree.Nachos BasketWe've ordered a snack to-share, but disappointingly, it kicked off our meal bad!The nachos were just too thick as like biscuits rather than crispy corn chips.And they really did taste like biscuit cus there're no corn flavor anyway...Eggs MarianWhat came as my Main! This new shop does catch my eye since their promotion on instagram, since it's a branch of a fashion shop. I have paid my first visit here before their grand opening trying out some their snacks here. Curry fishballs($20) and Siu Mai($20), it tastes fair like what we usually have in any food stalls but the curry sauce is really spicy. I was recommended to try out their free spicy preserved turnips as well and I pretty like it. A lil of it might have burnt your tongue!Their fresh fruit juices by Hyaku ($36) worths a try, while the pear one tastes particularly fresh!So I and my friend also tried some other GUM"JENG" food. We have always been eager to try the doggy noodles ($36), knowing it's one of their highlights, for sure we order it. Their soup base is really rich and there are lots of mushroom inside. Adding more spicy preserved turnips in it makes everything much tastier! Since they make the food in order, so everything is served hot enough and fresh. But definitely we needa wait for the food for some minutes unlike where we normally have these local snacks. And I do think their food are a bit pricy that you won't expect yourself having some HK snacks for more than $100, but I guess we came here for the style or gimmick perhaps! Well yea, maybe this shop is newly opened and around a corner, there are not much people here, so it definitely gives you another feeling of having local snacks.
