This is like my third visit, and this cozy lil cafe still amazes me. I love how tiny it is, I love how the owner's friendliness makes me feel like home, I love how her customers became her friends and helped out, I love the food and coffee. I ordered the Italian Sandwich and Coffee. her Coffee has strong aroma, and never the sour ending even when is cold. The sandwich, the bread used is with herbs and seasalt. With crunchy lettuce , tomato and cucumber, with some homemade mayo.My two fillings are mushrooms and spicy sausage,Combined together, it creates a fascinating taste, the fresh mushroom taste clashing with the spices in the sausage, and the saltiness on the surface makes the mayo pop.The size is huge, and it's tall. One very satisfying sandwich.The coffee, though i wanted black coffee, cuz i dont enjoy the after taste of the milk and how it stays in my mouth.but to be fair, her latte, is awesome, rich and strong flavour. It would be better if i could taste the original coffee, with no distraction of dairy.Looking forward to coming back :) Will try breakfast next time :) …查看更多

Another wet damp night with friends...Chippy night it is. Another favourite place of mine. Last time it was a fish burger ( the upside down picture) this time i try not to do it again. While waiting, alittle bit chitchat with the funny owner, He said Chippy is likely to be closing in 1 - 2 months cause of the extremely high rents. He hopes to find a new place for this Fish and Chips shop. It wasnt an easy task to choose the dish for tonight, with all the choices from burgers, butties, pies to Fish and chips. The stand out item for me is the most traditional item on the board. The fish was battered haddock, served with chunky chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce.Haddock is really some cheap white fish out there if you just go to the counter and ask what’s good.It was slightly greasy, but since it was fresh out of the fryer and put on plate straight away, I guess that’s forgiveable.The crunch gives way to the flaky white fish, moist and tasteful. I was glad that the batter wasn’t too thick as wellMushy peas has its importance with the fish and chips, its the vitamin provider to make your guilt go away, then tried the pickled Egg, the solid and firm outer leads to a strong and tangy taste, Yum~ The chunky chips is simply rich and mouthful. The portion is generous enough though we tried hard to put away the last few chips as we are paying full price while few more couples came in with the Groupon thingy,No doubt my another visit is guaranteed. …查看更多

Easter day :) Was expecting to have a happy brunch or breakfast at cafe Landmark, however, by the time we were seated after a 20 mins wait from 11:25 breakfast menu has ended. Its a pity.Set-lunch menu is ready. Couldnt pick one from there though. I ordered Lobster Linguine. The portion was readjusted to a smaller size, Light creamy base not too rich to suppress the lobster taste. Nicely cooked Lobster to a just right level where the meat could be easily removed from the shell. The lobster size has shrunk too. A nice dish, Menu items are of a very wide range, Would love to try the sandwich from here and also their breakfast items* …查看更多

Coming back for the set lunch after my last visit.This place at lunch is all packed! Gotta made a reservation before hand, my friend and I arrived around 1pm, its fully seated. Given the menu, not difficult to make the seafood decision, the fish skewer isnt quite common to be seen elsewhere. It has squid, salmon and cuttlefish, Salmon tastes really fresh and chunky, while the cuttlefish is a thick and chewy, the seasoning is just right and makes the flavour pops.The rice may look simple, however, it is quite al dente, it's firm and mushy while not being under-cooked.The whole dish would be great to pair with a glass of white wine if its not the middle of the day and work is waiting ahead. again my friend and I both enjoyed this very pleasant lunch …查看更多

chippy's food n hospitality impressed me since my very first visit 3 years ago… occasionally i came here for their fish n chips… today needed food for my friend n i* came by for a fish burger n fish cake:) side with mushy peas ~the burger is huge altho my pic isnt really focusing on the fish burger itself , it tastes.complete with the crispy bun n delish sauce and the battered fish ;) the fillet is huge n the side chips are wonderful:) 2 big fish cakes* tasted so original* my friend n i enjoyed the fish cake so much, very.rich n fully fried patty. both dishes so fiery(: enjoyed such a meal before drinks.so.much* mushy peas warmly served , they are no jokes usually these are forgotten in a way that served cold but here they care…:) the place is so old fashioned n so cozy and the owner.is utterly friendly;) couldnt be more satisfied…查看更多

Orto, a cozy and relaxing place away from the noisy LKF on a friday night.. To satisfy the sweet-tooth after dinner, came and ordered a Classic tiramisu housemade… the soft cheesey cream bottomed with sponge cake soaked with expresso …An immaculate combination of the italian dolce.Sure to taste the homemade pasta and their wine too. Since we are only having dessert, we were seated at the bar area. Its clean and neat. Very comfortable for just a fast seat-in and a cup of tea. …查看更多
