Upon arriving at the restaurant the server kind of forced me out of the door to double check if I have done leave home safe properly, even though I had shown him the blue code. Starting to feel unwelcome.Then after sitting down, he proceeded to stand in front of my table like a statue. I asked him if he could take my order but he said someone else would take my order.Server 2 came to take my order and mumbled in Cantonese extremely quickly and I could not understand him. I asked him to repeat the menu for the specials and he got a little irritated and spoke in an unfriendly manner.I decided to take a risk and order the Mystery steak from the lunch menu. I had no idea what this was even though the server mumbled twice the area of the beef. Turns out it was the Picanha. The food I must say is not bad although most of the food came out cold. The soup was cold and was more like a paste instead of soup, and the mash potato was cold.Overall, the experience was not great and at the price point of $460 + 10%, I will never visit this place again. Entered here with reasonable expectations due to the price of the Teppanyaki set lunch similar to the pricing of other teppanyaki restaurants.Ordered the standard Teppanyaki set lunch with Sashimi, Steamed Egg, choice of one seafood (cod fish, scallop, oyster or abalone +120), tiger prawn, us Angus beef, fried rice, desert.Sashimi (yellowtail, octopus, scallop), relatively fresh but nothing to blow you out of the water. Scallop was slightly mushy but overall ok. Steamed EggServed room temperature :(:(, wilted coriander on top, looks very sad. Taste is ok, the prawn bits inside the egg are very hard like the eraser on top of your pencil. Cod Fish (advertised as cod fish) but it really isn't. The actual fish should be a Hake or Ling fillet instead of the real cod. The cook was ok on the fish but the skin leaves a lot to be desired. Not crispy and quite chewy actually. Flavor was on the bland side. Thank goodness for soy sauce. Tiger PrawnHad real high expectations as the prawn was massive and looked super fresh. Unfortunately, the cook was super subpar. The head was still served raw with green roe, had to ask the chef to cook it thoroughly to avoid the fishy taste. The meat was springy and fresh, however it wasn't flavored properly, and it was just fresh shrimp on the teppan. Nothing to get excited about. US Angus beef Firstly, the server did not ask whether I would like a thick cut or the sliced beef and just served sliced beef instead. Overall, average nothing exciting about this. Requested it more on the raw side and that's what the chef did. Cook was OK. Again flavor on the bland side. Fried Rice Best dish of the lunch, flavor was spot on not too salty nor too bland. The eggs could have been chopped finer but I'm guessing the chef's ability is limited, and his skills looked very green as a teppanyaki chef and hence the overall not so satisfying experience. DesertJust normal 3 pieces of odango.Overall, I'd rate this place a 3/5. But to be honest, I would not walk in here paying the full price. With the Times Square coupon discounts, I wouldn't complain. Original xiao long bao3.5/5Skin abit thick, otherwise flavor is good and served hot2. Vegetarian spring roll3/5Fried crispy but almost no filling and quite greasy.3. Pork slices with LaMian in Pork Broth3/5LaMian texture is good, but pork was very chewy and dry.4. Dan Dan Noodles4/5LaMian texture is good, flavor was good too. 5. Pork Rib in Plum Sauce1/51st serving was raw so we sent it back, 2nd serving was barely cooked and cold when served to us. 6. We arrived at the restaurant at 3pm. The restaurant was rather empty. Instead of directly leading us to our seats, they opted to clean other tables and also take orders rather than giving us a table. Excellent dry aged Steaks and oysters. Good value and so fresh. Fully booked out till 9 had to sit at the bar but thats ok! Prices are fairly reasonable as well. Highly recommend! …查看更多

In the past, we really enjoyed coming to Totoya for sushi lunch and it was so crowded with queues up to 90 mins just for a meal.The crowd is gone and this is due to the low quality of food now. I forgot to take photos but firstly the cutlery were so dirty, my sons childrens cup still had rice in it!! . The water was changed but the cup was not as the cup had some black spots on it that I could recognise.The sushi rice is overcooked and too soft. The flavour of the vinegar was lacking too. The soft shell crab hand roll was cold. However, on a positive note, the fish was still relatively fresh and tasty except for the scallop. The others were fresh and tasty. I recommend the eel sushi. The eel is soft n tender. But the rice really ruined the experience and I hope the management really looks into this and reviews their restaurants.Staff in general was nice but I think they are overstaffed due to the lack of customers. Many were just hanging around chit chattingto each other.Until a change is made, we probably will not visit again. …查看更多
