The environment is nice and spacious. Not too busy on an early Sunday morning. The food is decent. Servers were lovely and attentive. However, there are two separate menus, one on their QR system, one paper version on a small yellow piece of paper. The price difference is more than 50% as the yellow paper is two-for-one. We made the mistake of ordering on the QR system and thought it was supposed to be the price as listed on the paper menu. But we were charged at the original price ultimately due to slight differences in the menu item. Sadly the manager was not helpful when the price discrepancy was raised. Booked the restaurant for a family dine outRestaurant was very spacious and well decoratedThere were only 3-4 tables at 4pm on a weekendIt took many attempts for a waiter to take our order but that was not a huge issueThe food was incredible and very high quality!0. Tea was decent, strong, which was surprising 1. The laksa chicken noodles was so flavourful2. Sweet and sour fish slices were the BEST, very thick pieces and well seasoned, medium sized dish was plenty3. Salted egg yolk coated shrimp was one of the best dishes too, very large pieces and 9 pieces for the medium sized dish4. Fried pork cutlets were delicious5. Disappointing meal and average taste. Definitely not worth the price and for an insane $120 sparkling water PER HEAD (including service charge). Not worth revisiting. Too hyped up. Also ordered the burrata but it was so dry and seemed like it was just bought off parknshop. Very disappointing and overpriced ribs, way too salty and small portion for the price. This restaurant was an awesome lunch dineout spot with family. Not too stuffy, well ventilated. And was quite busy around weekday lunch hours.Had an amazing chickenpot to start with, went so well with plain rice. The flavours were right on, even BB spicy was good enough, these guys really went crazy on the amount of chilli they add. Have to recommend the beef ribs - very generous full size portion! Didn’t end up taking photos as we were so hungry and just had to dig in right away. Surprised to see a menu change to all fois grois, but stayed anyway to try the new menu. Booth seats were fairly comfortable. Starters were apple spinach salad and onion soup - quite bland and lack flavour. We both ordered the beef burger as mains, only to find one tiny piece (not even half) in each burger. Photo below shows the two tiny pieces put together.Dessert was half a strawberry, 3 blueberries, with some chocolate sauce. Cost 248+10% per person for a weekday lunch set. Chose this restaurant for a birthday celebration, because of the good reviews on OpenRice and google. Beware, how these ratings could so easily blind ones judgement. This has to be the absolute worst western restaurant i have been to my whole life. Did not grow up eating at fancy restaurants but I can at least taste whether the food was actually made fresh or had gone bad already. Before I start waffling on about the food, I’d like to quickly mention the service here is excellent, and quite attentive, quick, and warm. We had ordered a lot of food, none of which were properly fresh or tasted good. First up was the salad and mushroom soup. The salad was okay, not too fresh but edible. The mushroom soup was salty. The hot chocolate was very diluted and tasted like water. The cappuccino tasted worse than a regular Nescafé instant coffee at any 3 star hotel. Then came the mains. The pork belly burger (did not bother to take a photo of the inside of the burger - there wasn’t much inside) was a disaster. There were 2 slices of pork belly, 80% fat and not much lean meat, without any kimchi in (had kimchi inside according to the menu). We asked for the kimchi, and it tasted like expired garbage waste. 100% not recommended. The fois grois risotto, unexpectedly did not contain ANY frois grois. I dug hard in the food and did not find any. Neither did it taste like there was any fois grois in. So, craving for frois grois, we ordered a separate fois grois dish (just one small piece, even for the price) to compensate, which was good but didn’t bother to take any photos of it. The crab meat risotto was not fresh. There was some crab flavour in it, but not fresh at all. The lamb rack was okay. We like it more well done, so thank god this one didn’t taste like expired food. The sauce wasn’t tasty, but at this point we had lowered our expectations to the minimum. The worst was the lobster. Craving for proper seafood and being mislead by the ratings, I ordered the lobster $438. Ended with only 4 tiny tiny pieces of lobster meat. The “lobster” in the photo here is only the SHELL. Also, the portion is tiny, I just took the photo in a way that made it appear more than it was. The “white mix” of food was 4 tiny pieces of lobster meat (hopefully), mushroom, and some cream sauce. It was way too salty, and in no way worth a fraction of the labelled price. Especially for a lunch menu.Some of us were still hungry, so we got some chicken wings, an ice cream dessert, and some pigeon legs. They were very average or tasteless. The ice cream was very watery, and tasted like they had defrosted it then re-froze it again. The entire bill was around 2000. It became funny in the end, as we had not had such a bad meal in such a long time, only difference was this one was expensive and bad. Not to mention the mosquitos and flies occasionally flying over your food and picking up some literal garbage. Did not even bother reporting this to the restaurant, as we had lost all hope and just wanted to get out of there.
