Ok, not the first time dining at Uban Coffee Roaster as I’ve tried a few times in TST. Seeing that it’s the newly opened one and didn’t know it’s another branch as new shop looks good, HOWEVER, attitude and service was terrible. Ordered 2 latte during lunch time, the guy wearing a grey woollen hat told us to wait outside just the same as the normal tsa chan teng staff who normally tells you to, no service no manners no smiling. Why are you even thinking to compete with other great cafes on Hollywood Road with such horrible manners by charging $46 for one 8 oz of coffee ??!! This time, it’s terrible in service especially staff couldn’t organise during peak time period on Saturday morning.We came in, the young female waitress didn’t serve us water but spending time chatting with his favourite customers who came in after us, who wanted to grab a table quickly without needing to queue up for 30-min. She didn’t care about giving us water and ignoring us sitting at the little table right to the front door and cashier, but playing with the little kid from the family (perhaps her friends or neighbours). Unfair to other customers when everyone is trying to queue up!! Also the guy who was in brown T-shirt didn’t serve us water even if we asked for many times, perhaps claiming they were busy… yes ofc course you would be busy, then what would you expect customers to do? Waiting for you for 1-hour for a cup of water while your staff was spending time chatting but not doing anything? I used to like this cafe before when the other lady (perhaps one of the owners who made the chocolate truffle) provided excellent service.No more and also food categories and drinks were not that different comparing to other cafes with better service and better organising.Thumbs down for sure …查看更多

We came in with 4, ordered a lot of skewers including one eel. However it came wrong with some beef. We asked the lady who was the manager but she insisted in saying it’s the right order. We ordered another eel and it totally looked different. That manager didn’t admit it was her fault and we had to prove her wrong, finally she shouted back to us claiming she had nothing wrong. We strongly complained about her terrible attitude and her mistake. We would never come back as this shop in central was ‘no go’!! …查看更多

Been there a few times just because my family feel convenient to grab some baked goods and a coffee nearby.When coming in on Sunday, seat plan was changed yet it was so packed. One woman occupied a table of 4 but she’s only taking time to work on her laptop while occupying all other 3 available seats. There were 3 of us but couldn’t get a table at all, however the staff didn’t try to help swapping with that lady for us but acting emotionless and seemed they didn’t really care who was taking space.These selfish customers should be warned and told off given that cafe staff should be educated to work on this for better service.…查看更多

I asked the lady at the counter to order directly, she was the most mature looking lady who pulls her face all day- ‘ what do you want?’ No greeting or manner at all, I asked for an earl grey tea but wants milk with it. She blamed me for saying ‘ you were pointing for an earl grey tea section but not fresh milk tea section!’ I said ‘ok, can I have a fresh milk earl grey tea, m size no sugar please’? Then she kept quiet and asked for $28 for it.I have no idea such a brand of tea shop would recruit such horrible staff without any manners while charging you $28 for a basic fresh milk tea comparing to another xx H’ brand of tea shop which costs much cheaper but with better service and attitude of frontline staff. I had really poor experience for once in this wanchai branch, ordered the same sandwich but had it take away, looking super poor and wasn’t presented properly comparing to my last good experience for dine in from the branch in high street. Very disappointed and the staff at cashier was pretty rude. I only mentioned her I was ready to take away the sandwich after finishing my coffee, she was anxiously telling me - we had to spend time to get the sandwich out from the oven!! I was shocked as I only told her I was ready to get my food but didn’t expect her to loose temper like that to a regular customer from high street branch. Came here for a better proper coffee after been to the other restaurant (not just coffee which was insane). Here is so much better, even if it’s not a spacious cafe, but with enough space and good design of combining with high tables and bench for a quick drink or bite while waiting for someone. Love the food, had a hot flat white which is so satisfying, also the girl (one of the barista) was so friendly and professional in food & drink recommendation. We had a great time there and saw 2 lovely puppies from another customer , my kid was so happy playing with them and people were all friendly and nice, he was also so happy with the Nutella gelato which was also very recommended !Would love to come again for a casual brunch with friends or family next time, highly recommend it to anyone who fancies a nice and chill cozy cafe with high quality of food and service!…查看更多

I came with my family including a toddler after mid-autumn day, went in as the first customer, the 2 male staff (waiter/cashier) had no smile or greeting, watched us take a seat, told us to get water as self-service, cold emotionless which made me feeling unwelcome. I ordered 3 dishes, 1 fries and 3 drinks for $540+. Food and drinks came fast, looked good, but everything else was unbelievably terrible..- Osmanthus latte(so called popular), I had such specialised coffee a lot from KEFEE b4 and they didn’t it wonderfully as using distilled method of abstracting the floral fragrance, however this one here cost like $50+ but tasted like DISGUSTING !! Pure tons of syrup and no coffee flavour at all, horrible!- My hubby never complained about food normally, but his ‘all day breakfast’ came as horror, avocado was tasteless without any seasoning, whole dish was no taste, the most horrible one was the super fake cheesy fries that I was about to give my kid but no one could eat it at all as the smell came out like rotten and the way they tried to do ‘western cheesy’ one didn’t work, which costs $88 and we had to bin it after only having 2 pieces, my kid ended up playing the ketchup as the fries was terrible..- the truffle pasta was stuck together and again, no taste. I couldn’t understand if their chef never really learn how to cook, seemed they trying to boil or steam all food and put everything together, nothing tastes properly , however they charged the same high price as other reputable western restaurants nearby just to pay the rent.. I went for the popcorn and told the girl at the cashier if I can have double flavours. She said ok and I said if they had any savoury flavour apart from all the majority of sweet flavours. She said ‘peanut and sesame’, which made me so confused as their menus don’t even have that..??!I asked again and she said the same, I explained I wanted caramel and some salty flavour, asked her if she had it, she pulled her face no idea of what I mentioned but looked so impatient. I tried to explain what I wanted, she didn’t seem care what I wanted, but tried to get me leave soon. I said it’s ok for caramel then, she still looked confused and said ‘tong Yuen?’, I just realised she didn’t understand I had been talking about ‘POPCORN’!!! Omg, what poor misunderstanding and careless listening from her, just because she never tried to listen to what customers said even if I repeated 4-5 times that I wanted ‘popcorn’ when they had shown all the buckets of popcorn next to the cashier , yet her horrible attitude and care free on others created such horrible conversation and she’s simply NOT even qualified for working as a cashier, which is so simple but these type of staff couldn’t even work properly. Could have asked if she didn’t understand but she only kept saying what she wanted to say, 0% services when she’s working in customer service, horrible staff and the shop owner really should improve the quality of hiring better type of staff working here. I went at 12pm for a quick lunch as working nearby, it’s a father, 2 x sons’ type of family business for thai cuisine.Taste: not good at all, Tong Yam Kung soup base is like waterPrice: around $65k with a drink at least, overpriced and not worth it because of the tasteService: horrible The 2 x sons were polite, but when I ordered chicken wing noodle, the dad was arguing with staff in kitchen and gave me wrong order. I just took it as I was in a hurry, and then they also gave me wrong drink , but the elder son quickly changed it for me.The main reason I’m complaining is their dad- who’s arrogant , shouting loud when being busy with orders and keep making wrong orders. When I finished my noodle and am still drinking my tea, he quickly took away the dish and also THREW AWAY MY MASK!! It’s horrible and rude behaviour and I was nervous for not having my mask on. We went for dinner at this place, food and drinks were good, the artisan type of coffee was beautiful and nicely designed and printed, which is the reason the price is high. However, with such pricing dining here, it didn’t mean you got good service.We tried to ask the female staff who’s a young looking girl for a favour, basically she didn’t listen to what customers want, completely ignored what we requested but only answered- ‘ we couldn’t do it, it’s agonist the law?!’ I’m sorry, how are we against the law when asking for a receipt copy for reimbursement?’ She’s absolutely rude, had no common sense or whatsoever , spit out something that shocked you and completely had no training or any sense.We would not recommend this place as they only hired no brainier staff but charging double of the price as other premium level of cafes located in CBD areas, it’s a joke!Food was ok but overpriced, customer service was horrible …查看更多

I ordered my 2 drinks online as to save time, ordered and paid at 18:52 on 17Jun and was advised to pick up by 19:21, I intended to arrive late like 19:40, but shocked to see that they didn’t even prepare my order at all!!? I asked for it and complained it was totally delayed for 20min after waiting for 30min, they didn’t care.I asked for their manager on duty on 17Jun, a guy with curly perm hair, was terribly rude- ‘ well, it’s normal being delayed, we haven’t got enough manpower’, and he absolutely didn’t feel bad about their poor service, telling me off by showing his angry face, kept saying it’s normal, asked me to look at their order board, told me off that it was normal to wait for an hour since I order b4 7pm and they didn’t give me the order until 8pm. Their attitude was absolutely unacceptable, didn’t feel wrong of it and only told me to wait, they had no solutions, and they only prepared their orders to their walk-in clients for minimum waiting time of 30min. I always pick on price, food quality , hygiene, customer service and dining environment.I’ve never felt so content for what this place and the lovely owners offered me, very satisfying experience and I’ll highly recommend ‘Momo Moments’ to anyone who is in K Town!!I’m living very nearby but can’t believe I didn’t heard of them until today, randomly saw their food menu and some foodies’ comments- very positive and I was attracted to go have a look for the first time.Not a big place but amazing location right opposite to exit C of Kennedy Town MTR station, you won’t miss it. The air circulation was very good, felt very comfy and nice for a quick snack, and the small shop actually offers the amazing capacity for 3-4 people if you feel like sitting down for a break, a good chat with friends. Their unique Nepalese decoration , the nice long wooden table and the stools are clean and tidy. I would have no concern taking a seat and it felt like a holiday when being there.Food is amazing! Signature momos(chicken/pork etc), the crispy balls with stuffings like mashed potatoes with some kind of salsa ingredients, adding the yoghurt and pomegranate made the whole taste even better, very refreshing and fits the best when you don’t have much appetite sometimes. Price is very reasonable, what I love the most is they use paper box for packaging which added 100% of my best interest when choosing a meal idea, the last but not least- the owners are very very genuine , dedicated and kind people who do business with their heart. Sad to hear sometimes some people saw the shop is small and left immediately after seeing the space isn’t enough, but they offer take away mainly, and it’s actually pretty good to even offer 3-4 seats for some quick eaters who need a break. We should think in a different angle and they are way better than lots of small shops with average food , bad customer service etc isn’t it? We booked the Christmas Lunch here as we saw their Christmas menu sign by the door. We arrived on time, the staff didn’t introduce us the right menu but a ‘Festive Lunch ‘ with limited choices which are NOT the same as what we wanted, we asked and seemed the staff didn’t know anything.We came as first time, just wanted to test if the food would be good, thus we only ordered 2 courses instead of 3 per person, the result is negative. My avocado salad came ok, tasted good, and probably the only thing that is acceptable during a whole lunch. We both ordered the set pasta on that menu, the presentation was ok, but tasted nothing, absolutely plain and covered with lot of heavy grated goat cheese which made me feel so unpleasant, as I wasn’t into heavy flavoured cheese and the pasta itself was too hard, watery and no taste, a big no no!And I had been waiting for my mocktail but it never came, after 15min waiting, no body came to check on us if everting is ok, even if they arranged 2-3 waiters for our area, no one knows what is going on, the guy who placed orders seemed day dreaming, served the wrong food and placed the wrong order, the guy who helped me get the bill didn’t know I wanted to pay but he went away.. Whole bill for poor and not much food costs $512.6 including the compulsory 10% service charge was not worth the price, the time and we were speechless about how poor service this new renovated restaurant provided, who replaced little creature who used to be so much better in the past, we really missed little creature as a proper western restaurant with good standards, not like this one..…查看更多
