You know it's bad when I didn't even take pictures

It's such a shame this was a disappointing meal because I was really hoping this would be my new neighborhood seafood spot.  1. The appetizer of scallops skewers were served on a bed of fresh but unseasoned salad greens (no dressing). The scallops were small but cooked well and the bacon added a nice flavor. 2. Ordered a draft Stella to go with mussels. The draft was flat and there was a bug inside of it. 3. The mussels in thai sauce was an extra +20 add on, but I was full of regret the minute I opened the pot. The presentation was nice though, as it came in a pretty blue pot. Once opened, the mussels were completely shrunken because of overcooking and the mussels broth was the taste and consistency of Italian salad dressing. I made an attempt of eating them, but half way I had to give up because it just was too gross. The fries were cooked to perfection so I just ate those instead.4. The dessert was a raspberry tart. Was good and not too sweet and though I don't eat usually dessert- but since I was still hungry, I ate it all.After the meal, I did try to give feedback to the waitress about the mussles and I heard her telling the cooks but they didn't seem to care at all. It's a shame because this means the kitchen is not interested in how to improve or keep customers. I wouldn't hold my breathe on this restaurant lasting too long in this economy. Went without reservations on a Thursday at 1. Service was prompt and sushi bar chef was knowledgeable. Chose a “chefs selection” of 15 pieces. At $500 a set, cheap it is not but the quality and quantity of sushi was a match. Highlights were a lightly seared codfish, cured tuna, and ikura. Only miss was the uni, which was Canadian. Meaty but very bitter. Of course, July isn’t a good time for uni but the smaller Hokkaido ones are still sweet this time of year. For $500, i would expect a Japanese uni.…查看更多
