Their soft opening menu includes an extensive list of puff pastries, with various cookies 🍪 and doughnuts🍩, etc. Featuring: Leche Flan 🍮 by Vission Bakery Brioche Feuilleteee Tart Shell. Vanilla Diplomat Cream. Sponge Cake. Leche Flan. Shortbread Cubes. Sugar Crunch Pecan.Instagrammable goodness. I bought this as it was a recommendation from the lovely staff at the counter during my visit. Not only does it look great. It tastes amazing 🤤Breakdown🤔💭: The Brioche Feuilleteee Tart Shell was flaky and light but rigid enough to hold up all the ingredients as you devour it. The vanilla cream was smooth and custardy. It felt like I was eating a vanilla custard cake midway through. The use of shortbread cubes and sugar crunch pecans to add a textural dimension to the pastry was fascinating. It added an extra depth of flavour overall too.But the star of the dish, the Leche Flan, was the Leche Flan on top! (See what I did there?). It reminded me of the Leche Flan my mom used to bring home from sari-sari stores back in the day. Bring some hand sanitisers and tissues! You're going to want to eat this with your hands. Trust me; it tastes better that way!I'd like to see how these up-and-coming pâtisseries will innovate with new flavours and textures that Hong Kongers will fall in love with.The most successful trendsetter that comes to mind is the mochi cookies by Twinkie Cookies—smartly integrating an Asian favourite texture of mochi into their cookies. It's about time we see flavours such as Ube (purple yam) from the Philippines, Taro from Taiwan, Pandan from Southeast Asia, Thai Milk Tea from Thailand, etc., integrated into these pastries.
