I have been thinking of trying Orange Tree for a while as that is the only Dutch restaurant I know in HK.During the restaurant week, I went there with a friend to give it a trial. It was recently relocated to LKF. The internal decoration and ambience was pleasant and artistic.The three-course set dinner provided multiple choices for appetizer, main course and dissert. I selected the wagyu carpaccio, grilled Dutch milk fed veal loin and tiny pancakes with ice cream.For the carpaccio, it was very beautifully presented. But the beef is not like the typical wagyu I am familiar with, which usually has fat evenly imbedded to give it juicy and tender. With the cheese and salad, the carpaccio tasted not bad.The veal loin was actually a little overcooked. The sauce saved it to some extent with a good flavor. The roasted potato at the side was actually the most impressive part of the dish.The tiny pancakes were satisfying. They were not too sweet, and went very well with the ice cream. I remember reading in some reviews that this was one of the most popular courses of the restaurant and I was not surprised by that.Overall, it’s an acceptable meal. I dined at this restaurant several years ago and remember it being a nice restaurant. So I recommended it to a friend for a lunch meeting and I really regret so doing.The restaurant is located at HK Park and the outdoor dining area is one of its selling points. But when we visited, the outdoor area was not available for dining. The decoration of the indoor section appears aged. And it was completely packed during the lunch hour. We had to share a four-person table with other customers even though we booked a table-for- two days earlier.The waitress who served us was obviously inexperienced, and it took her quite a while to under our orders even though the choices available were actually quite limited. We each ordered a chicken rice set lunch, which includes a drink and a daily dessert. The chicken was fat, and did not taste very fresh. And the so-called daily dessert turned out to be the very tiny sticky rice-cake served with the chicken rice. After we were done, we asked the waitress for our bill. We waited for five minutes but nothing happened. We had to call another waiter before we could eventually checkout.HKD150 for such a lunch at this ambience and for such kind of service is absolutely disappointing and overpriced. The decoration of the restaurant appear to be a good mixture of ancient oriental and modern styles, and the HKD195 plus service fee for all-you-can-eat-breakfast seems to be a great deal.  So we give it a try.We arrived early on a Saturday morning.  The atmosphere is indeed comfortable and graceful.  All the staffs are obvious well-trained, and always have a smile for customers.  The breakfast hour is from 9:30am to 11am, and customers could order up to three rounds of Cantonese dim sum from the menu.We tried almost half of the courses on the menu.  The dishes were usually served within minutes after we placed the order and they appeared to be freshly cooked.  My friend’s favorite is the double-boiled scallop dumpling, and my favorite is the pan-fried dace fish paste with black truffle.  The steamed beef tendon and the steamed hairy crab meat dumplings are also impressive.  Overall, this is a satisfying meal at a pleasing and quiet atmosphere.   It’s also good value for money if you like Cantonese dim sum. …查看更多

與friend約左飲下午茶，見這間店有很多好評，決定一試。來到的時候是星期二下午時段，店裡已有不少食客。我們沒有定位，但幸好還有一個沙發座，於是不用等位。間店比較細，大概只能坐不超過20人。不過裝飾確實有點古色古香的感覺。當時店裡只有一個waiter和一個人在櫃檯裡面準備食物。也許是因為太多人要招呼，個waiter都沒有時間招呼我們。於是我自己去拿了一張menu看。我們叫佐抹茶心太軟、抹茶芝士蛋糕、蘋果批、Motcha Soul and Motcha Genmai.抹茶芝士蛋糕果然十分creamy. 食落十分滿足，但是分量偏細。我杯Motcha Soul味道幾好，不過唔夠香濃。抹茶心太軟要等30分鐘，不過都值得等。因為真系creamy又smooth又甜，配上Vanilla雪糕，一凍一熱，真系絕配。蘋果批就普普通通，沒麼特別。唔知系唔系期望太高，感覺這餐茶有點失望，台與台之間的間隔太細，沙發坐上去也不舒服。waiter雖然態度唔錯，但常常顧唔到我地。dessert雖然味道很好，但價格偏貴而且分量偏小。仲有個menu系手寫，唔系很好讀，而且有些甜品似乎沒列出來。 希望茶居能有所改進。…查看更多

The Press Room has quite some positive reviews.  However, a couple of friends told me that they were not impressed by the food.  To make my own judgment, I tried their Restaurant Week set lunch on a Wednesday.  With the high ceiling, the restaurant feels spacious.  We had a very good table by the window.  Everyone was friendly and attentive.  A complimentary drink was offered to each diner of the Restaurant Week set lunch and it certainly was a pleasant surprise.For the $158 three-course lunch set, my friend ordered Salmon Tartar, Grilled Wagyu Minute-Steak, and  Summer Lemon Custard Tart.  I ordered 18 Months Bayonne Ham & Seasonal Melon, Olive Oil poached Cod Fillet and Daily Dessert. The foods were generally good. The minute steak was juicy and tender.  However, the cod fillet was a little overcooked.  The daily dessert, which was Eton Mess for us, was extremely creamy and delicious!Overall, we were satisfied with the foods except for the cod fillet, but in the mid-level and SOHO area, we could get better food for the price we paid.  The service was impressive because everyone smiled when talking to us and I could tell that they did make effort to make the diners happy.…查看更多

It’s hard to book a table at Steik World Meats but I was lucky to get in.  I had high expectation for this Michelin recommended restaurant and it did not disappoint me. The restaurant is quiet, spacious, and elegantly decorated.   Service was perfect, everyone was friendly and kind and attentive and they seemed to be able to predict your need.  The restaurant week set lunch is a great value for the money paid.  The menu is in both English and Chinese which is considerate.  Ingredients were fresh and delicious and well-cooked.  Breads were fresh and warm and tasteful.  The cheese role was really good with black pepper added to the dough. I ordered Wagyu beef Carpaccio, Dry-aged US sirloin and Passion fruit Pavlova. All were excellent.  Wagyu beef was fresh and juicy, and the touch of truffles and baby arugulas match extremely well with the beef.  According to the waiter, the dry-aged sirloin had been aged for around seven days and it was juicy and tender and has the appropriate amount of fat to make it rich.  The bright colors of the Passion fruit Pavlova would bring water to your mouth, and it’s extremely creamy with the right sweetness, balanced by a hint of sourness.  It’s a pleasant lunch and I saw a smiling face whenever you talked to a waiter or waitress.   The restaurant also offers two-course set lunch from $158 to $288, with optional dissert for extra $30.  I think that will still be good value given the quality of the foods.    …查看更多

For some reason, the Peak Lookout always reminds me of those forest cabins in fairy tales because of its beautiful appearance and decorations.  Eventually I got the chance to try it out during the Hong Kong Restaurant Week.It is a beautiful sunny Monday.  Since I arrive early for lunch, the outdoor garden is quiet.  The waitress smiles pleasantly when greeting me. The environment and ambience is stunning.  You sit in a beautiful garden with lot of greenery and overlooking the blue sky, deep blue sea and lovely islands.  There is pleasant breeze and you could hear birds singing.  The RW lunch set includes appetizer, main course, dessert and coffee/tea.  The menu is in both English and Chinese which is very considerate.   I ordered Sashimi Salad, Sea Bass and the Peak Lookout Tiramisu.  The breads are fresh and warm, soft inside and a little crispy outside.  The waitress recommends the Sashimi Salad and it is indeed a great choice.  The salad is colorful and presented artfully.  All the ingredients are fresh and delicious, and the sesame dressing enhances the taste.  The fresh figs add a perfect touch to the course.  Sea bass is perfectly cooked to be juicy and tender and creamy, and it matches well with the mashed potato.  The tiramisu is smooth and creamy, and is well-decorated and presented.Moreover, everyone, including waiters, waitresses and the restaurant manager, is very friendly and kind and helpful.  The manager Rick told me that they usually don’t offer set lunches.  So this Restaurant Week set lunch is definitely a deal.  Overall, it’s a satisfying lunch in a hilltop garden with sea view, and it could make one feel happy and pampered.    I would highly recommend it for special occasions.…查看更多

晚餐時段行過一樂燒鵝，終於忍唔住誘惑叫佐一個馳名燒鵝胸飯。由於尚未到六點，店裡人唔多。等了大概五分鐘，飯就上來了。我是這裡的常客，三不五時就要來過下燒鵝癮。燒鵝肉一如既往，皮脆，汁多，肉嫩，香味濃郁，又不會過肥。配上白飯真是一流享受。燒鵝飯的分量不多，吃完既滿足又不會有飽滯的感覺。下次如果有親友想吃燒鵝，我一定會推薦這家。…查看更多

以前沒幫襯過這間餐廳，看見團購網上說該餐廳有不少名人推薦，加上自己本身比較喜歡潮州菜，便購買了團購的二人套餐。由於預先訂了位，所以不用等。但預留的台就在入門處，位置十分迫。前菜潮州鹹菜沒有什麼味道，潮式花生一點也不脆。光看前菜，就對餐廳的水準失了信心。下面的主菜，果然是像其他留言所說，一次過全部上晒。主角避風塘炒蟹最讓人失望。蟹肉幹幹的，一點鮮味都沒有，避風塘的精華-油砂，又炒儂唑。豉椒炒蜆的汁尚算好味，但蜆肉很小。椒鹽鮮魷如果不系預先知道菜名，完全吃不出是什麼。川椒雞的肉很硬很澀。方魚炒蔬菜中的方魚塊很小，但青菜比較新鮮，已算是整餐中最好吃的了。個蠔仔肉碎粥的粥底不錯，但是有些蠔肉有點怪味，似乎不太新鮮。甜品是綠豆糖水，很小碗，亦無麼特色。期間，樓面的服務態度真的很一般，基本是一次過上晒所有菜（除去甜品）之後就彷彿要任由食客自生自滅。在我嘗試自己換骨碟之後，態度有好轉。終於吃完一餐，忍唔住長出一口氣，難吃的一餐終於吃完了。以每人大概2百元的價位，完全能吃到比這好很多的菜式。抱着對老牌潮州菜館的希望而來，結果就失望而歸。以後不論是團購還是正價，都不打算再幫襯這家了。…查看更多

餐廳滴景緻都算唔錯,可以選擇坐室內或室外。但食物素質一般。叫咗一個松露蘑菇湯，個湯上來的時候熱辣辣，食材感覺也比較新鮮，但與坊間的忌廉蘑菇湯無麽分別，但價錢就貴不少，算系不過不失。但當晚主食叫了一個和風小食拼盤。該course在menu上為餐廳推薦的新菜式。可惜非常令人失望。拼盤上來時既唔熱，又無香味。炸蝦天婦羅又凍又唔脆，蜜糖燒雞翅又凍又不新鮮，感覺系翻叮过，餃子又硬又凍，賣相已經失敗，亦完全沒鮮味。仲有薯蓉與帶子，都系凍冰冰好難吃。感覺所有5樣小食都系預先做好，有客order就翻叮，而且仲叮唔熱就拿上來，所以全無味道。本來仲想叫甜品，但已信心盡失，唔敢再試。以後都唔會再來。…查看更多

提前訂了位，用張團購coupon.只有兩款拉麵可以選，就選了鮮蝦拉麵。飲品選了藍莓汁。雖然張coupon包前菜，但店員沒有上。我後來check番groupon先知原來閒店俾少咗野。藍莓汁先上，明顯唔係鮮搾，感覺係香料調製。拉麵尚算彈牙。湯底不過不失，不過應該沒落味精。只蝦的肉都算實，但有少少腥。 38元這樣水準實在讓人失望。…查看更多

与朋友在中环、上环找地方开饭，本来想去另一家餐厅，可惜那里大排长龙，于是决定试一试这家新开的泰国菜馆。该餐厅在中环一幢建筑物的二楼，但是是在一个窄巷子里。因为新，里面的环境还不错，但有些偏小。 我们一人叫了一个午餐套餐， 咖喱鸭的味道还可以，但鸭肉偏硬。本来应该有红米，白米和烧饼与咖喱一起上的，但却被告知当天没有红米了。在上饭的碟子里加了几片蔬菜，就算是咖喱鸭套餐了。朋友的海鲜炒面套餐也乏善可陈，一碗是日餐汤是冬瓜汤，据她说没什么味道，炒面也不够筋道。服务泰姐确如其他食品所说，态度很好，但由于当时只有我们一桌，她大多时候都留在厨房，需要大叫才会出现。结帐每人大概80元，实在不是很值，以后如无必要，不会再来了。…查看更多
