Just had a few minutes to spare before catching a movie and I was starving, so we decided to come here to grab a quick bite. Luckily we didn’t have to wait to be seated. We ordered a quick couple rounds of sushi (they limited to 8 items or something that you can order each time, so if you want to order more, you gotta submit the order first then order again). Food came very quickly via the “Shinkansen” trains. Been craving for some pork knuckles for some time, finally decided to come to this place with my friend. Maybe this restaurant is somewhat farther from the mong kok area, so we didn’t have to wait at all during dinner time. Ordered a pork knuckle, smoked salmon on (rye?) bread and a fried meatball with cheese. First came the smoked salmon on bread with a small potato salad on side. We loved the combination of the smoked salmon and the bread, the side potato salad is also very delicious😋😋Then came the fried meatballs. It’s decent, nothing too special about it though. The friendly staff helped us to carve it, which makes it easier to serve as the skin to get really tough and messy to cut. Came to this mall with my friend for movies, this was the only restaurant without a longgggg queue, so we went in to grab a quick bite to eat. We ordered a pork chop curry with scrambled eggs and a braised beef curry. The beef curry came rather quickly (a good sign or a bad sign 🤔...?) The curry looks “unfinished” in my opinion given the price that they charged for it, just some beef cubes and a few Japanese pickles (some potatoes or carrots to go with the beef would make the dish look nicer). Beef was tender and the rice was cooked just right, but other than that there wasn’t much to praise about. Had to wait a while for the pork chops. Dish looks slightly more presentable with the scrambled eggs, but still rather plain. The texture of the scrambled eggs was good. Pork chops were crunchy and not too oily. My friend picked this restaurant as our CNY gathering venue because he got a stack of the $100 dollars off coupons from his previous visit. Place was very packed but we managed to book a room so it was ok, nice and quiet for us. Food was quick to come along with the pots, but we had a problem with one of the electric stoves. Staff was friendly and was able to fixed the problem for us. Overall, the food was decent, beef was pretty good, seafood is fresh. However I wouldn’t recommend ordering the sashimi set unless you are really craving it.Another thing I also wouldn’t recommend is the steam pot combo. The food in the combo is not bad but given the listed price it just didn’t seem like the best bang for the buck.…查看更多
