I have ordered a shoyu Hamaguri soup ramen and a deep fried tofu. The noodle tasted ok, but very salty. However, after I finished the whole bowl of noodle, replied all the emails, checked the FB and IG, and whatsapped a few friends, the tofu still didn’t come. It finally did only when I asked for the bill. I seriously think that if a side dish would come only half an hour after the noodle, they should have alerted the customers beforehand. As I have tried a Japanese restaurant at the Food Street the other day and found it pretty good, so I tried to have Western this time. As a number of other restaurants are full, I decided to try this one. Big mistake. After I placed the order, I asked them to turn up the air con as it’s getting warm and stuffy inside, but they said the air con was out of order. What? The temperature out there was 33C, and you told me there was no air con? Running a business this way is unscrupulous and irresponsible! Back to food, I ordered French Onion soup, Spring Chicken and a glass of Pinot Grigio. The soup was the classic, cheesy type which was decent. The chicken was a bit salty, while the wine was tasteless. As alcohol raises body temperature, I gave up and not finished it. All in all, I personally wouldn’t come back for sure. I have ordered a lunch set with green salad for appetizer, duck breast for main and poached pear for dessert. The salad is, well, just a salad, but the duck breast fell short of expectation. It’s too chewy and I would say a bit too raw (probably below medium). I had to give up half way through it. The poached pear was nice though. The bigger problem of the place, however, was service which they had none. The male manager put up a poker face throughout the whole time I was there, making him look like the unhappiest person in the city. When you order l food here, it never comes; when it comes, it’s always the wrong order; when the right order finally comes, it tastes like crap. I have ordered a stir fried seafood noodle, and had to chase it three times before it came. The noodle was salty, the seafood cold. My friend ordered a beef noodle soup and the soup was cold. For Christ’s sake, avoid this place and try something else at the airport. …查看更多
