I have to admit I am a bit disappointed after reading good reviews of this restaurant on OpenRice and Google. We went there today and ordered 2 set lunch. First, it took more than 35 minutes to arrive, we were not the only ones having that problem since the women at the next table complained about it. One was not served yet when the others have already finished eating. The soup included in the set lunch was tasty. I ordered a pizza and it was OK. A tad small and not really tasty, the combo pesto/bacon/random stuff was not the best. The lamb kebab was way too salty. The service though is good, the waitresses are polite and friendly. Overall, the price is cheap (there is no service charge) but so is the food quality. They are definitely better options in the neighborhood. …查看更多

We've been there for lunch completely by chance thinking it would be an average Japanese restaurant as you can find anywhere in HK but it was a pleasant surprise. * First of all, it is to say that the staff is really nice and caring * We ordered 2 lunch sets and had a total of 205$ including the service charge. * I took a very complete set which included - a salad (the dressing was different from the one you usually get in other restaurants and taste nicely) - 2 tempura (really nice, not too oily and you can really feel the shrimp, good sauce too)- a platter of 10 sushi (nothing extraordinary, really classic but all the fish seemed to be fresh) - a small bowl of udon (though it was too salty in my opinion, the udon were very soft and I liked it) - a mochi (produced by Kowloon dairy), I guess the taste was taro. Craving for Spanish tapas and paella, I found out about Playa de Papayago. I was appealed by the nice decor and extensive menu. I booked a table for 5 people, they only had high seats available but it was actually quite comfortable. * The service was great, the waiters were friendly and professional. However, the waiting time between the plates was slightly long probably bc the restaurant was busy on this Saturday night. * We took a lobster bisque which was surprisingly good and tasty. (rating : 4/5)* We also took mozzarella dippers which were disappointing and not worthy at all. (Rating : 2/5) * Even though the bread seemed to be low quality, it was still crunchy and paired well with the cheese and ham. The 36-month old Serrano ham was really great and authentic. I would have preferred the manqueso cheese not to be melted like we eat in Spain. ( Rating : 3.5/5)* The paella was tasty enough and not disappointing. It is supposed to be for 2 people but might not be enough. (rating : 3.5/5)* I chose lobster pasta with pesto and sun dried tomatoes. Didn't taste like pesto at all but more like a tomato sauce and the lobster was slightly tasteless. But the pasta were cooked al dente and the sauce was great. (rating : 3/5)* We had a mushroom pizza at last and even though we had to wait for it, it was worth the wait. It was thin enough and the mushrooms were actually quite tasty and not chewy at all. So this dish is a great surprise. (rating : 4/5) * For drinks we had 2 jars of sangria (the standard one and the deluxe one).
