I saw my friend's pictures at Facebook recommending this restaurant. It was my Mom's birthday yesterday. my friend told me that I can enjoy both Japanese and Western food here. Perfect! As my mom wanted western cuisine while my dad preferred Japanese.The restaurant is nicely renovated. As I stepped in , it doesn't look like a Japanese restaurant to me. They have a big wine cellar which offers a great selection of wines and sake. Since it was my mom's birthday, we decided to open a bottle of wine. However, I am not a big wine lover, I just stick with the House Red Wine. It's not expensive at all but it has a very nice body, not too dry with a hint of fruity after taste. Very suitable for occasional wine drinkers.I was very surprised that they do really delicious Western food. I've heard a lot of good comments on their Japanes cuisine but out of my expectations their Western food is relevantly nice too. Western Food: for appetizer, we had the Black Truffle Caesar Salad. The Romaine lettuce are nicely chopped. The amount of dressing was just right. The black truffle in the salad gives it a special touch. My mom ordered a Rack of Lamb. It was done to perfection - tender , juicy and soft. Perfectly cooked to medium. Japanese Food: Toro sashimi is so fresh and fatty. Thick slices. Overall, the sashimi are very high quality. My dad ordered Teppanyaki Steak. the portion size is very good and value for money. There are 3 sauces that come with the steak. Personally, I prefer without sauces as I enjoyed the lightly seasoned beef since the meat itself is very fresh.  I ordered a Teppanyaki fish, it's relatively nice as well.The Manager knew that it's my Mom's birthday and gave us a surprise. He offered us a complimentary Molten Chocolate dessert served with vanilla ice cream & Black sesame. That's very kind of them. I also ordered a dark chocolate wasabi ice cream. I must say they serve the best ice cream in town.  The Manager told us they specially imported their ice cream from UK. They are all natural without any flavoring and coloring. The dark chocolate wasabi ice cream is a WOW!!!!! The kick of wasabi spiciness at the end of the bitter sweet dark chocolate was so unique.  I still miss that special taste. I highly recommend this restaurant especially you can't decide on whether to eat Japanese or Western cuisine :) You will find lots of nice surprises here.…查看更多

Hi I was just bought to CWB to have meeting with colleagues and they were in for Katsu and one of the colleagues suggested this place.The environment was good but the best part was the food as you order a set and they will refill your salad and rice, so if you are hungry this is a good option.…查看更多

I just came back from New York and discovered that Pret A Manger has branches in USA too! I think this chain is very good. I've been to their UK and US branches and their standards are very consistent in all countries. The sandwiches that you get in the Hong Kong shop are as tasty as the ones in UK and US too.But I think the Salads are better in New York. They offer a bigger portion there.I had an English Cheddar Sandwich for breakfast this morning. Wow, the taste is amazing! Can't believe a simple cheese sandwich can have so many interesting flavour. The cheese itself are strong with a nice aroma. The pickle sauce is sour with a hint of sweetness. This is definitely a great sandwich for the cheese lover. I think for the prices that we are paying at Applegreen, the food here is very value for money. It is not like the ordinary western food that you can find in Mong Kok. The quality can compare to a higher end restaurant.I came here for afternoon tea with my grandparents. Even they seldom eat Western food, they found the food here are delicious.We had the panini. We've chosen the cheese and salt beef. Yummy!!!! We also had a Banana Peanut dessert. I think the dessert selection here is very good and creative. At least you cannot find them elsewhere.…查看更多

For those who are in kowloon city and wanted something different, please try this, i suggested this for several reasons:Food- for the value you pay its worthwhile. Fresh mussles, oysters. I am a fans of Japanese restaurant, today I went to Sai Wan and discovered this new Japanese restaurant.This is good for the following reasons:Enviroment- its design is modern and gives you a comfortable/ cozy dining feelingFood- Although its newly opened but the quality is fresh and the ingredient is just great. I would recommend the Oyster and beef sashimi. My other suggestsion is Yakitori.
