Enjoyed a authentic Sichuan meal in Causeway Bay last weekend! Sichuan Rouge boasts an assortment of flavorful spices directly from Chengdu. We truly enjoyed the experience, especially the SMALL BUT MIGHTY Dan Dan Noodles which made our mouths tingle with the "Ma La". Strongly recommended, we hope that we will be able to come back again soon with more friends. Had the chance to try a new Japanese Izakaya on Ship Street (Wan Chai) last week.Real Japanese chefs with real Japanese chicken and ingredients.  They are only soft opening so some things are unavailable but will definitely come back to try more when they fully open next week!Something interesting is their raw chicken - was a little scared at first but after eating had no problem and it was very, very tasty. Excited to share a brand new concept (still in VIP only soft opening stage - so some dishes/sets are subject to change) in Causeway Bay's CUBUS!We enjoyed their deluxe set ($1,380) and added Matsuzaka beef. The set was delicious and the team explained what makes this new shop special! Homemade sukiyaki sauce using boutique soy sauce, Hokkaido claypot rice, exclusive japanese eggs and more! First to review here but I'm sure many patrons have gone through Sushi Houzan since its opening.This was truly a unique experience with Chef Jack's attention to detail, personality and "atmosphere" embedded into the menu.  Dinner started off with fresh and tantalizing flavours to whet the palate before moving into the full sushi course. Usually visit the CWB or TST locations and this is the first time visiting the LKF one. Seems everytime the Lo Mei is more interesting in the beginning than mid-way through the meal since everything starts tasting more of the same. Next time will be trying one of their rice dishes to give a bit more balance since the noodle dishes lack flavour variety.At the end of the day the experience is that you expect and it's great for a quick bite before heading to LKF or TST.…查看更多

In all honesty we usually just order regular churros because we love the original flavour of the sugar and cinnamon. However the different options were just too attractive and ended up deviating from the norm to order their Cookies and Cream Churro with Ice Cream. All-in-all it was a good experience and something that we will try again if we're on TST side - however ordering a regular churro is more recommended as the ones with ice cream end up getting quite messy near the end.…查看更多

Stopped by here with a friend before making our way up to Rugby 7s on a Friday.I would just like to point out that Holland Spicy is very, very spicy. My friend was making fun of the pizza when ordering and wanted to challenge it - safe to say that it really is spicy. Me not being a fan of spicy cuisine to begin with only had a few bites and stuck to the other side... My friend however ate a few pieces and suffered significantly throughout the day while attending Rugby 7s.Been here a few other times to order the regular pizzas, most of them are well done and the quality remains the same. It's been a while since we came to Shugetsu since there's almost always a lineup during the lunch rush. Fortunately this was a casual day that we took off and just met quickly for lunch just as the shop was opening! Same as always, the noodle texture was great and the broth was done well - I believe that it was better in the past, however that could also have been since we went when the shop had JUST opened instead of when we normally go.Wouldn't lineup for this shop in the summer heat but it's definitely worth a try for those who've never experienced it before.…查看更多

This place was super busy and lining up in Hong Kong's summer heat was not something that we were looking forward to. We would say that the overall experience was average and many of the items that we tried to order were actually sold out (deep fried items) when we visited around 2-3pm. Prepare for a very dirty experience which actually adds to the authentic "Hong Kong" dimsum element as this is most definitely not a clean environment by any means - but that should be expected.The chicken rice and lava custard buns are both highlights of our meal. Hats off to Chef Mihara-san for offering us an amazing experience in his newly opened Causeway Bay Shop.We've previously visited his TKO shop (Teppanyaki Mihara) and WanChai shop (Trattoria Kagawa) but neither of those hold a candle to the one that we recently visited. Our visit was during the soft opening period, so note that some of their items may be subject to changes/revisions. The menu was packed full of Lobster, A5 Beef, Foie Gras, Amadai, Abalone, Sea Bream, Shark's Fin, Truffle and so much more. Some items that stood out due his tremendous skill requirements are: Shark's Fin and Steamed Egg with Truffle. These items require a delicate touch, perfect timing and understanding of both the ingredients and teppan grill to the highest degree. We will most definitely be going back to celebrate other special occasions and get togethers since Causeway Bay is so much more convenient than his previous shop in TKO!Strongly recommended!…查看更多

Haven't been to Maison ES for at least 3 years, but the service and experience is still as good as ever.Being able to go to a place like this is a nice escape from the hustle and bustle in Hong Kong. The decor and environment is amazing, with significant attention to the finer details (flowers, design accents) make one really appreciate all the effort that's gone into this shop over the years to maintain these standards. The lunch set is good value for those winning to splurge on occasion for service, quality and experience. It's a great place to introduce new colleagues for a welcome lunch, farewell lunch or even birthday celebrations. Will keep it in mind for the next date.…查看更多

We've honestly been trying to dine at this restaurant for quite a while now....Booked initially over a year ago and finally got to try on APR 29.Ate the set + added the sweet and sour pork. Full price was HK$1,380 + 10% s.c. per person x 9 people = HK$12,420 + 10% s.c. Free corkage (we brought some nice wines ourselves to enjoy with the meal. The dishes were presented and introduced well, with everyone having an opportunity to take photos (their dishes are very photogenic) before plating. Their staff are well educated in what they are serving and were happy to answer any questions that we had regarding the dishes and dining experience. Honestly I am quite a big eater so I wasn't happy that the kitchen didn't let us add-on items (even before we arrived since the sets/dishes all must be pre-ordered) and it was a insulting that they wouldn't let us add white rice because they thought that we couldn't eat everything if we ate them together. Which should be our issue, not theirs. In the end it was worth a try since I've seen a lot of friends visit this shop (which was why I originally really wanted to try). Haven't visited since they opened, there's usually a lineup for the lunch session but its near my office so I went late (around 1:30pm).The sushi was above average quality and something that I will be mindful to go back again if I have a sushi craving during the lunch session. I like their variety a bit better than genki or their sister brand (Sushiro). Also better value than Sen-Ryo (yes I know it's a different caliber of sushi chain).Service was okay as its mainly a QR code scanning for ordering. …查看更多

Booked this after seeing it for a while, forgot since it was actually quite hard to book when they first opened.This is the OG Porker location which is very near where we live. All the seafood was very fresh and it was helpful that the sashimi items were explained and what order to eat them in. Tea was served frequently (perhaps because we sat at the bar) and everything was very fresh. Love eating chirashi bowls since there's a large assortment of everything! Really wanted to try their 1 year anniversary shellfish don but unfortunately they only serve a very limited amount everyday. Was invited to dinner by a group of foodie friends and wasn't expecting much since this seemed like more of a private dining venue but ended up quite surprised!Apparently one of the large VIP rooms we dined in are very difficult to book - so we applaud our friend for booking early and taking care of the ordering for us. The room was equipped with its own private toilet, sofa area and karaoke (recommended to start the karaoke later since it does get in the way a bit from the dining experience).Shop is quite newly renovated and menus have a huge selection - available for those who love variety and choice.  Service was acceptable and they also have a handy button that we can use to call staff to our room. Heard that their dimsum is pretty good so we will be planning another visit on the weekend and book a smaller room to try their selection!…查看更多
