Monday Dinner In fact, I am drawn to this restaurant by their brunch.Heard that they got a pretty good selection of good quality dishes for brunch buffet. Thats why I come here for dinner, but will come back for their brunches soon. Bella Vita is located on the 11th floor of Cubs. It is managed by 1957 & Co. In the same building of Cubus, this management also provide dining experiences at Mango Tree & Sushi Ta-ke. I am not that eager to try Mango Tree, cause its thai food, but i would like to come back for Sushi Ta-ke. For the appetizers, we ordered Burrata Salad w/ Rocket Leaves & Onion Soup. The Burrata Salad is great. Because I like mozzarella very very much. In fact, burrata is an italian chees that made from mozarella and cream. It is soft inside and a little bit hard outside w/ mozzarella. It is a perfect combination w/ rocket leaves and cherry tomatoes. Some diners may not like the bitter tastes that rocket leaves give, but if u match w/ cherry tomatoes, its goof to give a try! For the onion soup, i am quite disappointed instead. The onion soup is quite creamy. The pieces of onions are dissolved in the soup. I always like to have onion soup when i go to steak house and such, because of the melting cheese ! (the Parmesan and cheddar cheese) !! Unfortunately, theres no cheese in this bowl of onion soup. Otherwise, it would be great ! They also serve you basket of warm breads, bread sticks with vinegar and olive oil. You cant miss this in an Italian restaurant. Especially, I like the vinegar they serve.For main dishes, we ordered Red Prawn Pasta & Lamp Chops. The Red prawn Spaghetti is quite creamy and the choice of the pasta is linguine. It is above average standard ! THe red prawns are great and fresh, but the pasta dont give us a taste of " Al Dente ! " Maybe we demanded too much, but it should have been better ! For the lamb chops, I ordered it medium- well. It is cooked well and grilled well. I dont need any mint sauce or mustard. The lam meat is quite softened inside but crusty outside. It is so lovely cooked that I couldnt get enough.:)For desserts, we ordered the Apple Pie w/ Gelato & Tiramisu ! The apple pie is served w/ warm green apples, hence, give us a taste of sourness. But, if you eat it w a spoonful of vanilla gelato, it actually well balanced out. The serving size is appropirate for 3-4 persons to share. Also, we ordered the Tiramisu. The waiter told us that they dont put in any wine or whatsoever to this dessert. I found interesting is that they have 3/4 portion of this dessert with the Tiramisu cream and 1/4 renaming as cake. I like this raito as I like the sweetness of Tiramisu. All in all, I will definitely come back for brunch here! Sunday BRUNCH It has been weeks of raining and cloudy weathers, but today is a sunny day. Perfect beach weather, but we choose to come here for brunch. The restaurant is not that packed and crowded today, maybe everyone go out for a nice outdoor activity. We ordered: Ham Benedict Fruit Platter JASPAS BEST For the ham Benedict its yummy. They put the hollandaise sauce on the side, which is easy for customers to adjust how much sauce they want. I think this benedict is not the best, but definitely better than many other brunch places in HK. The fruit platter is awesome!! There are a variety of fruits to choose from. Strawberries, bananas, blueberries etc. They come w/ yogurt and honey. The yogurt itself is kinda of watery, which I don't really like. But the honey is good, Dip your fruits with them and they are awesome. Finally, I got myself a JASPAS BEST. It comes with toasts, bacon, sausages, hashbrown, 2 eggs (any styles you like) and a small fruit plate. In fact, its just an American Breakfast Platter. Its not like a very special brunch combo, but for the price, its definitely worth it. I just cant finish them all ! Lunch on Saturday ! I thought Sushi Shin in Tin Hau is already good enough ! Surprisingly, Sushi Sase is even way better than other Sushi restaurants.We reserved the table at noon. When we got there, no body was there and we were sitted at the sushi counter. (Dining at the Sushi Counter is a very good dining experience) Times went by and more and more people were here. I am actually surprised that there were walk-ins, and they could not come in because all tables were booked. (So, RMB to reserve) For their lunch sets, there are 6 optins. The Chef Omakase Course (Sushi Chef picked the best sashimi, suchi for you) is a WOW price and we afriad that we cannot finish all the yummies.So, we ordered Deluxe Sushi Set and Hokkaido Set! Firstly, we were served with Miso Soup and steamed EGG ! The steamed EGG is so good ! Its steamed with right amount of time, not too watery nor dry. Then, for Hokkaido set, I got the SASHIMI on SUHI RICE- " Salmon Roe/Uni ** HIGHLGHT of the Meal! Actually, if you just got the bowl of sushi rice, you can feel the set is worth it ! The UNI and Salmon Roes are were so fresh! =D You can taste the freshness by just smelling them. (they are from Japan, sushi chef mentioned exactly where they are from), but I forgot. After the sushi bowl, there were pieces of eggs, and 6 pcs of sushi.I ordered an extra of Yaki Toro !! Its so good ! Hong Kong Restaurant Week @WooloomoolooIts been awhile, but I finally have some time to write this review.If you have been to the USA, maybe you ll know about the infamous dineLA ( LOS ANGELES) and NYC Restaurant week. Famous restaurants like Gordon Ramsay at the London , Ruth's Chris Steak House, Morton's the Steakhouse,The Bazaar ... All those fine-dining restaurants -- they are expensive ! But, because of the existence of restaurant weeks, we can try them out at affordable prices.This year, my friends and I found out that there would be Restaurant Week in Hong Kong. We are so excited. That's why we reserved a table at the Wooloomooloo Steahouse at LKF. Coz we made a reservation, so we didnt spend time waiting for a table.The view from our table w/ traffic running down....The Menu for Restaurant Week- For the price of $ 458, you can have Appetizer, Main Dish and Dessert ! I think the price is okay,but maybe the price should be lower !! AppetizerWe chose the Cream of Mushroom.The soup was served in a small pot. That was GREAT ! Coz the soup was not just warm, but sizzling hot. The Cream of Mushroom tasted good ! The flavors of cream and mushrooms were well-balanced..[u]Main CourseThere were 3 choices. I ordered the lamb chops.The lamb chops were served medium-well. The dish was served with white cabbage, potato Cake with lamb gravy. The texture of lamb chops was juicy and soft/ pink inside. I especially like the potato cake. Its soft inside with the crunchy texture outside. My friends ordered other 2 courses.Barramundi Fillet The fillet was served with roaster pumpkin, beans and roaster tomatoes. My friend said the crunchy outside and soft fish-meat inside was excellent !! The taste of the dish was lighter, which accommodated my friends' appetites. Rib Eye Steak I didnt know how the steak taste like. But from the look of the dish, it looked like its juicy and quite heavy in taste. With some pieces of mushrooms on the steak, i think it gives the steak a balanced taste.Desserts Finally, the desserts were here !! There were 2 choices- Chocolate Mousses - Apple Crumbles w/ Vanilla Gelato I tried the apple crumbles. [IMG:6]The Apple Crumble was excellent !! The vanilla gelato was enough that I didnt need the extra custard sauce. The apple crumble was served in warm temperature, so that it melted parts of the gelato.....With that semi- melting gelato, its so yummy that you cant resist. ! 寒冷天氣警告中-- 食暖笠笠煲仔飯二月末， 天氣仍是很冷 ！！只是有十幾度左右 。。 食茶餐廳？有點點普通， 所以走左來 ’永合成‘食暖笠笠煲仔飯！坐低之后， 立即叫了個窩蛋牛肉飯， 友人叫了個排骨飯雖然不用等位置，但是很多人-- 張張枱都坐了很多人!很多人叫了滑雞飯同窩蛋牛肉飯, 這些應該是這店最popular 的煲仔飯等等等。。。。 最后等了30分鍾， 窩蛋牛肉同排骨煲仔飯先來。。 等得太久了。。。。但是，當你在十幾度的天氣食個暖笠笠煲仔飯，什麽都值得！！ 窩蛋牛肉飯的牛肉是手剁 的，口感十足！！ 加小小醬油已經無得頂！~而且，牛肉鋪上煲仔飯，飯同餸個比例差不多是一比一！每個煲仔飯都是45元！如果夏天來的話， 一定不用等咁耐！！ …查看更多

I have been waiting to try cakes at Tony Wong's Patisserie for so long !! Finally, bought some yummy goodies when i pass by today. There are a few tables and chairs where customers can sit down and enjoy the yummy desserts. Surprisingly, there is no line today...I ordered -----Rose Cake The designs and looks of the Rose Cake is superb ! You dont want to cut it cause its like destroying the 'little princess'. Below the 'flower petals" are chocolate cakes. They are good and yummmy !! But the petals (which made of chooclate as well) are too SWEET ! -Mango Tart The pieces of mango are quite good ! I dont like fruit tarts if the fruits are too sour. Luckily, its not happening here.-Choco Truffle Cake -Tiramisu I think the Tiramisu is okay. But, it doesnt give me a "wow" feeling.The design of the rose cake is so beautiful that you dont wanna finish it. The other night, my friends threw a birthday dinner party here! Heard that it was awesome. That's why I made a reservation here as well for my friend as well. We bought a cake... unfortunately, they charge over HKD$ 200 for a cake ! We decided not to pay the premium and enjoy it elsewhere.We didnt know that there was an elevator, so we took the stairs and walked up. The bar is on the 1/F. The environment and atmosphere was actually pretty nice. ( I think I will come back for a drink or so) We made the reservation, so we dont need to wait. Appetizers: OystersSmall Plates: Cauliflowers with cheese and Roasted Potatoes The Cauliflowers was okay, but i think i would prefer fries to roasted potatoes. The potatoes were plain. We stayed here for the New Year's Eve, had that New Year's Eve dinner here ( which i ll post here later as well)We were waiting to catch the ferry back to HK, so we stayed here at the lounge for an hour-ish. In fact, i havent tried those delicious cakes over at Sevva. But, the cakes here at Ms B's are so awesome that you cant resist. This time, i have ordered the darling size of Be Gaga'd! This darling size cake is actually huge and you can share with 5-6 friends. If you like black-forest cake, you will love this cake as well. Even though im not a super fan of black forest, but i like the jelly in the cake and the oreo-like crunches. I have tried Better than Sex cake as well for my friend's birthday. If you cant live without chocolate, Go for it ! The carmamel crunches are so yummy as well ! But, share with more friends. Well, there are more and more Mexican restuarants in Hong Kong right now. I wish there are more ! Mexican food are just too good to resist ! If you have tried the American style fastfood chain- CHIPOTLE or QDOBA Grill, you will definitely miss the guacamole and buritto!!I have tried the Mexican restaurant over in Elements, I Caramba! is better i think. For tonight, i have ordered - Guacamole and Chips - Burrito with Chicken/Pollo - Chillis con Carne - Chocolate cake with ice creamI always love guacamole ! The guacamole has a better taste here!! (saltier and well-smashed avocados)For the Burrito and Chillis, they are awesome as well. They come with Mexican rice and Black Beans, or you can choose chips instead!
