The gf and I had our staycation at The Langham hotel. Tang Court was an obvious choice due to its 3 Stars reputation from the Big White Tires Guy.We ordered 6 dishes and all of them were of high quality. The Baked Crab was the best out of the bunch but everything was well prepared and fresh. The 3 green onion Lobster was a close #2. Even the BBQ pork was good. To quote Drake, “the best I’ve ever had.” The waiting staff was friendly and attentive. Visited this restaurant on a Monday with 2 others. We had a reservation for the lunch hour; the time limit was 75 minutes but it was plenty for us. We ordered the fish of the day, carbonara, and the beef burger (signature dish). We shared our food. The carbonara and fish were pedestrian but the beef burger with potatoes were huge disappointments. The beef patty was over seasoned, the buns had a chewy texture, and the partially fried potatoes were cold and almost flavorless. Maybe the chef had a cold on that day. I could say with confidence that this is the worst burger I’ve had in HK outside of McDonalds. Trust me, I’ve eaten burgers from all over the US (west coast, east coast, and the South). The gf and I visited this restaurant on a Wednesday around lunch time. We shared an all day breakfast and a chicken lunch set. The food was excellent in terms of the freshness of the veggies and the proper amount of seasoning on proteins and carbs. Waiting staff was efficient and friendly. Soft music in the background. This restaurant offers food with fair prices. Some seafood dishes were fresher than others. When you ask for recommendations, go for anything recommended that’s steamed (you can taste the freshness); however, they may recommended some stir-fried dishes when the catch of the day may not be as fresh (they can mask it with ingredients YEMV). If you want the best bang for your bucket (more $$$), I was told to go to the wet market to get fresh seafood. Then, bring it to the restaurant to cook. Make sure you ask for the price and don’t look too desperate before asking for the prices to cook your newly purchased items. My gf and I purchased 2 giant mantis prawns to be cooked here and it was excellent. We wished we would’ve bought more items from the wet market for them to cook. This bar/restaurant offers a great view of Lamma island and HK island. The boss was very nice and accommodating. He also gave great recommendations for various venues for the island of Cheung Chau. Make sure you give this place a go if you’re on the island.…查看更多

My gf and I visited this establishment on a Sunday. Everything was fine until the waiter realized that he gave me extra toppings for my order. He slowly retrieve the receipt from the original order and slipped a new receipt next to my gf with charges from those extra toppings. Who does that?!!?!?! We called him out. I thought those toppings came with my noodle dish but It turns out that the extra toppings was intended for the adjacent table. We would have been ok if they spoke to us to let us know what happened and we would’ve gladly paid for the extra toppings but the sneaky behavior displayed by the waiter was distasteful.As for the food, my gf and I think tamjai 3 gor is better. The noodle soups were average at best. So, come here if you want lower than tamjai quality noodles and distasteful practices.…查看更多
