Apparently window shopping is tiring. Who knew?! The girlfriend did. She looked up this SB and dragged me along screaming & kicking. She knows I’d rather support mom & pop coffee shops, but being the supportive boyfriend I dutifully went along. The girlfriend paid for the drinks to soothe my conscience while also bought souvenirs for her staff. For our final night on the island before heading home to GZ, the girlfriend fancies a western meal with beach front views. Jokes on her because by the time we got to Miramar it is pitch black and no beach views except the soft melodic sound of gentle waves. But, more jokes on her, because once we sat down, the decibel levels from other patrons pretty much drowned out whatever sound the melodic waves made. We were seated immediately and service was quick & efficient. The girlfriend ordered chef’s style clams & garlic shrimp, both were sauce heavy dishes. My only suggestion was no carbs. The dishes were delicious, with the chef’s clams being larger portion than expected. The garlic shrimp’s portion was consistent with what we are used to. …查看更多

The girlfriend fancies a dinner of Portuguese cuisine as she is feeling Cha Chaan Tang fatigue. I don’t blame her since we have eaten loads of street hawkers food, dai pai dong & wonton stalls. She picked this restaurant based on the ratings and we were not disappointed. There was a wait when we got there & that is a good sign. The cab driver said this area is colloquially called restaurant row. Decent prices. Fast no nonsense service. Accepts most foreign credit cards. Not many options for booze other than the House Red/White wine & a couple bottled beer. Kudos to the many reviewers who have enjoyed their meals here. We have enjoyed ours as well…查看更多

The girlfriend & I were heading home after getting drinks at The Wanch when we came upon Angel’s. I thought let’s give this place a try & see if it is just as good as the Pinoy food in the SF Bay. We got the porksilog & 2 bbq pork skewers. Conclusion: Angel’s measure up. Did not disappoint. …查看更多
