Have been to this korean restaurant several times but only for lunch. This time we got chance to visit at night. Atmosphere is excellent with pop music and fameless candles 🎶There're fried chicken, hot soup, appetizers and gourmet korean dishes available on menu. Kimchi, bean sprouts and pickled radish were served as side dishes We ordered half and half fried boneless chicken (cheesy and sweet n sour flavour). Cheesy sauce was a bit spicy and in gooey texture. Chicken batter was thin and crispy🤤 We also got spicy cold noodles with beef. Krua Walaiphan is my go-to lunch place in Sai Ying Pun. They moved to a new location recently but the food quality and service remained the same! They served different lunch set options on weekdays (12pm-230pm). Every lunch set comes with a daily soup which claims to have no MSG or flavour enhancers added. This time we ordered grilled chicken satay 3-pcs ($86) and grilled pork neck ($86). For the rice served, you can pick either jasmine rice or sticky rice which comes in a cute bamboo container.Grilled pork neck is grilled to perfection, with crispy edge and slightly chewy meat. I got attracted by the interior every time I passed by this cafe in Kennedy Town. This time my friend invited me to dine here so I got chance to try!We came during lunch. There're burgers, mains, grilled cheese, croffles and snacks to order on its food menu. We ordered wagyu bacon cheese burger w/ fries ($108), popmaze wings ($68) and apple crumble croffle with ice cream ($88). The bun of wagyu bacon cheese burger was soft and buttery. Cheese inside was in half-melting state. Patty was quite juicy, meat juice splashed when we cut into it. The only downside was the fries on side - too oily 🫢The sauce of popmaze wings was quite special - a bit tangy, spicy and savoury. Crispy skin and easy to eat as they were single-boned 😋Apple crumble croffle was super yummy and could definitely cure sugar craving. My first time trying out this linabell ice cream🍦 The white peach flavour is naturally strong, not artificial at all. Texture is more like sorbet than ice cream, more on watery side. The milk flavoured side is also delicious, milky and creamy. The only thing I don't like about this ice cream is the flower-shaped marshmallow. It has weird chewy texture and is super sweet. As a crepe lover, I've been wanting to try this cafe for long. Finally, I got a chance to visit its TST branch. We came here for dinner and orders are made through QR code. We ordered 2 crepes, one savoury and one sweet to share. For the savoury one, we picked crepe st. jacques ($125). It wrapped housemade st. jacques sauce, swiss cheese, scallops and truffle oil. The mushroom sauce is super creamy and there are many tiny scallops in it. Crepe is soft and super filling 🤰🏻We picked butterscotch apple crisp ($108) for the sweet one. It wrapped cooked apples and housemade butterscotch. There's a scoop of vanilla ice cream and toffee garnish drizzed on top. Passed by central market and decided to do a quick meal at dining ground. Pulau's tea time menu (14:00-18:00) caught my attention as it serves different kinds of singapore cuisine.I ordered the nyonya smoked duck breast w/ rice in chicken oil & sotong fish ball chicken soup ($72) and soft boiled egg w/ kaya toast ($36).Here you order food at counter, pick it up and get your own seat. The area is quite spacious at tea time and food is quickly served. The duck meat rice set came with a half soft-boiled egg, cherry tomato, cucumber, peanuts and dried fish. The portion of smoked duck meat it served was super huge, could probably fill up 2 person. Duck meat is tender and taste like those you can get from supermarket. Chicken oil rice is flavourful and not too oily 👍🏻Kaya toast came in 4 small pieces. The kaya jam inside was sweet, butter was smooth. We went Stanley this weekend. Remember back this cafe used to queue long when it first opened but surprisingly no one waiting this day so we gave it a try.Both the interior and exterior was lovely decorated in pastel tone. All day menu is available for tea time or you can just order some sweet pastries / savoury bakery items from the display counter. We ordered hot cappuccino ($45), caramel latte ($52) and riviera pancakes ($148). This is a italian restaurant so I have high expectation on its coffee but turned out a huge disappointment. Tasted just like capsule coffee you get from coffee machine and even worse😓 Pancakes came with some mixed berries and a scoop of vanilla gelato. The gelato fell off from the pancakes once it was served🫣 Drizzled with some syrup, taste was average and had nothing special. Overall, I'd say the quality of its food and drinks aren't as good as expected. It's quite overpriced even for Stanley. We came all the way to Tai Po for this newly opened jeju-styled cafe. It's a 3-storey building with rooftop, interior design is simple and stylish. Came to the drinks and food part, everything is self-service. You need to make order at counter, pick up the food, grab seat and return the finished plates by yourself. We went fortress hill to run errands today. Passing this restaurant seeing its menu quite attractive and price was reasonable. We decided to give it a try. For main, I ordered honey glazed ribs w/ mala dry noodle and my friend ordered popcorn chicken w/ braised pork rice. For drinks, we had bubble milk tea and taro bubble milk tea respectively. We also added two snacks to share, the mala stinky bean curd and the traditional roasted sausage. The two snacks came first. Mala stinky bean curd was black in color, it wasn’t stinky by smell. It tasted soft and spicy. The juice splashed into mouth when I bite into it. Not bad! Roasted sausage came with some raw garlic slices. This combination was as goodas expected. I’m a big fan of cream puff. Passed by Central Market and saw AW patisserie selling some indulgent cream puff. I couldn’t stop myself from getting in to get a puff set to share with my colleagues.Apart from puffs, AW patisserie also sells some other sweet pastry items like madeleine, cake jar, birthday cake and sugar substitute cake. Order can be made online and picked up from the virtual store.The puff set includes 6 flavours (crème brûlée puff, super rich sicilian pistachio mochi puff, sesame rice ball puff, okinawa brown sugar boba tea, taiwanese taro salted duck egg meat floss mochi and chestnut mochi puff). The texture of puffs’ outer shell is light and crispy, stuffings inside are generally dense and rich. I personally like the chestnut one most. Chestnut cream was sweet, buttery, and soft. Mochi inside was stretchy.Super rich sicilian pistachio mochi puff is another must-try item. Although I'm not a fan of pistachio, the stuffing still surprised me. It was mildly sweet, nutty and earthy.Overall the puffs are all delicious. They might be a bit pricey but sometimes you need some good treats to reward yourself! This restaurant has been on my bookmarks for a while. Recommended it to my friend and turned out she was interested to try too! So we went here together for dinner after work.Arrving at 7 on a weekday, restaurant was fully packed. We didn't make reservation so need to queue for a table. Staff was friendly and efficient. They brought us menu, QR code for ordering and poured us water once we sat down. We ordered the signature sea urchin pasta, 8" salami pizza, yuzu soda and peach jelly soda. Sea urchin pasta was as good as expected! Chewy al dente fresh handmade pasta in rich and creamy uni sauce was just a bomb. The amount of caviar and sea urchin given was generous. The sauce made every strand of pasta sweet, salty, and umami to eat.Pizza was topped with salami, pepperoni, bell pepper, red onion, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. Pizza dough was thin and crispy. Freshly made and served hot with some burnmarks at the edge. The vegetables added balanced out the greasiness and saltiness of the meats. I rarely visit Tsuen Wan but knew that this place is renowned for its mixian so we decided to come and give it a try. Arriving at 4pm, there was no queue and we could walk straight in. Staff was welcoming and super friendly. She asked us if we have been here before. We answered no and she started to introduce us their signature mixian and suggest us the level of spiciness that we should choose. I finally ordered the signature pork belly mixian and requested mild spicy. It came with spring onions, pickled vegetable and bean sprouts. Portion was generous, there were 7-8 pieces of pork belly in the bowl. Pork belly was the marinated type, it was spicy itself with a tender texture so no need to chew for long to swallow. Mixian was cooked al dente. Soup was sour, spicy and with a hint of nutty flavour. However, it was a bit oily and spicy for me. Overall, I'd say it's a pretty good mixian place to go considering the affordable price and heartwarming service. My friends suggested going to this restaurant for dinner after dog walking. Staff was welcoming, they greeted us once we walked in. After sitting down, they nicely recommended their signature dishes and monday's special menu to us. They have a super monday deal of buy 1 get 1 free main which you can choose among pizza, pasta or burger. We ordered assorted seafood pizza, tacos, spaghetti carbonara, cheesy jalapeño bites and oreo milkshake. Assorted seafood pizza was topped with shrimps, clams mussels, octopus, cheese and homemade tomato sauce. It was thin crust new york styled pizza with crispy and crunchy texture. This mixian place was strongly recommended by friend. I came visit this saturday afternoon to see if it's really that good. Shop was small and dim but still packed with customers. You might need to share a table with other customers. I ordered pork belly small pot mixian in mild sourness and spiciness ($41). It came with bean sprout, spring onions, chives, pickled veg and coriander. Portion was just right to fill me up. Broth was well-seasoned, not salty at all with right amount of spiciness, sourness and numbness. Pork belly was perfect, thinly sliced with tender texture.
