Well, it has been a pretty long time i visited here, and tell you what, this is a great restaurant for a lot of people.Yesterday, our family went to dine at Kew Cafe, and we had 12 people in total. The waiters/waiteresses were a little scared because of the enormous amount of people coming in. But tell you something, they handled it very well. Our family arrived at around 8pm and we started to look at the menu. 3 of us ordered the Kew Cafe mixed grill. 2 of us, including me, ordered the ox-tongue. My uncle had it with black pepper sauce with spaghetti and i had it with gravy with rice. This place is good because you change the sauce whenever you like, unlike other restaurants. The rest of us ordered either chinese style dishes or iron plate dishes. There was a chinese style soup or Borshe. I ordered the Borsch. It tasted pretty good, not too thick and not too bland. It was just right. Finally, our main course came. My ox tongue was laid out very nicely and the presentation was very good. The taste of the gravy was filled with flavour. It tasted absolutely amazing. The Kew mixed grill was also pretty good (i tried a little bit) and the proportion was just right. The pork, chicken and bacon were grilled very nicely and I can tell from that moment, the waiters looked more confident in giving us the best service. They seemed much brighter and they were willing to serve us. All the dishes came in the end, and I have to say, this meal was very delicious and plentiful. I will definitely come again with my family. I promise.…查看更多
I went there for my brother's birthday and it was not a pleasant meal. The soup was canned soup, so my first impression was that the waiters and chefs were lazy, bad and uncreative. My brother and I ordered the baked Penne pasta. It tasted OK, but when we finished, we figured out that under the spaghetti, there was a lot of water, which I regret eating.Never in my life will I go to that place for my birthday, brother's birthday and others. Only go there for bread and cakes, not dining in.BLEEEEEECH…查看更多
Me and my mom ate at this western restaurant when we were waiting for the Maxim's Palace.Mommy wasn't hungry, so it was only me that I ate. I ordered a Beef Stroganoff set which cost about $80. The service there was okay, but the waiters were just standing there doing nothing. Possibly it is because there was only 10 customers in here, I guess...Anyway, the soup came first. It was Cream of Chicken soup. The taste was pretty good and the standard was really high. My mom ate some of the bread, and she said it tasted pretty good. Then the Beef Stroganoff, the ,main course, came. It tasted really well. The sauce was not too sour or bitter. The beef was amazingly cooked and it was soft to eat, not too hard. Unfortunately I do not like mushrooms. My mom then ate some of my mushrooms. She claimed that the mushroom was used to cook with a little butter in it, and she said it was a good flavouring choice.Overall it is a great place to eat and it was very enjoyable. I wanted to come again, but do I have a chance, or not?…查看更多
I went to Manna Joy on the last day of service at night. The boss there was one of my mother's fellowship friends, so they invited me for the last strand. The beef curry was absoulutely sensational. It was so good that I got 3 helpings of it!!!The spaghetti was ok but I thought that the cream of mushroom was blended really nicely. So it was nice.I thought that the restaraunt was really nice, and I am so sad to find out it's closing.:(I wish them good luck in the future…查看更多
My family went to Kew Cafe for lunch a few weeks ago and it turned out to be okI ordered a farm chicken rice with the red wine sauce. It turned out to be delicious. The soup was tasty but the problem is that the waiters seem to make the soup time a bit long. But anyway, I forgot about it but to be honest, this restaurant is good and they do take a lot of risks. But they do need to improve in their pace and the saltiness of the foodIn general, this is a good cafe. …查看更多
