We came here for lunch due to the good comments in Openrice. My husband came here before for bolognaise pasta. He thought the pasta a bit watery and adding too much oregano but the dessert ( chocolate mousse tart) was good. My husband is a French and he hopes that he will like the food there. So, he brought me here just for an objective comment. We ordered a goat cheese salad with potato wedges and a 12 inch pizza (cheese, tomatoes, ham, mushroom) together with two cups of milk tea. The goat cheese on toast was good. The potato wedges were tasty with crispy skin. However, the portion of the salad is too small with this price. Then the pizza arrived. It looked like the pizza from Saizeriya (or in Hong Kong style). The paste was thin enough, but the sauce made the pizza a bit watery and less crunchy. It's supposed to dry a bit to make the paste remain crispy. The cheese was just right to my husband because he prefers less salty. $120 for 12 inch pizza is not expensive in hk. However, if you think u will experience a French style pizza here (even though the chef is a French), you will feel disappointed. The milk tea is plain like water. …Read More

Hello, I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed. I do my best for serve healthy quality food at the lowest price possible made from Homestyle family recipe that your husband should be familiar with. The bolognaise use a blend of herbes de Provence(1 tea spoon for 4 people= oregano 2% of the blend) directly imported from france, the sauce is made 100% from tomatoes no added water but a bit of olive oil, beef, carrot, onions, garlic cooked together for hours. I do not serve any chocolate mousse. The pizza dough is made by myself from Napolitan flour imported from Naples in Italy, the tomato is also from Italy, the cheese and ham from france and to compare it with pan fried sazeiria pizza it make me very disappointed too. As for the milk tea(free of charge) we also do it the western way because I am not familiar with Chinese tea, forgive me for that. If you ever come back please let us know if you have any problem with your food and we will gladly fix it or change it for you. We understand we cannot please every one but we do our best to do so. Merci

I think you've mistaken what I mean. We have no doubt of the quality of ingredients your * provided. We didn't complain about the price (as I said, it's not expensive), didn't think the food is unhealthy nor being added water. It may be sth went wrong during the cooking process which made the food not as tasty as expected. As for the chocolate tart, I have the photo but couldn't upload it here. Anyway, no problem with the dessert. Great job :)As for the milk tea, of course it's not compared to hk milk tea or any other Chinese tea( totally different things). I know it's in western style. ( I have been to Europe many times and even studied there for a while)Anyway, it's just my personal opinion. I think some other people would like your food (from other reviews) So, just take it easy. "Les Carnets de Julie" is also one of my favourite French TV programs. I do think u have heart for cooking and appreciate your effort to make some homestyle French food for us. Maybe one day u can be a great chef like Thierry Marx. Thanks!
