My fiancé is carnivore, while I am vegetarian.. Generally not a problem in Hong Kong, but nothing irritates me more than a burger restaurant boasting their craft meat burger reputation and quality, with no effort into creating an equally damn good vegetarian burger. The veg patty here is nothing more than falafel mix, and served one way - with falafel-like toppings, because that's all one can do with a falafel patty! Get with the program guys... create an innovative, original, versatile!, tasty veg patty that could be swapped out in your burger 'designs,' with its own star design, as well. I can't fathom how anyone could knock this restaurant, unless they had an off experience.. But I had lunch there today for the first time, and was totally impressed! I had the salmon quinoa salad, which was a delicious blend of flavors. It was warm, with an interesting sauce/dressing, fresh greens, and deliciously smokey, charred cauliflower. Had the lemon pudding for dessert, and it was also delicious. In a poor restaurant both of these could've been incredibly boring, but they were outstanding. This used to be the best place for breakfast, Wanchai or otherwise. They continue to have killer coffee, but the consistency of the food has been really amiss the past few months. I was originally told of Manson's Lot for their unbelievably fluffy eggs. I haven't seen those fluffy eggs in months! The scrambled eggs have been flat, and some days flat out runny. A few times they even seemed greasy with a tinge of green!, as though they're cooking them in olive oil versus butter or spray. Truly weird. I occasionally cave 'n return because the coffee is so amazing, but I'm disappointed my favorite breakfast is so inconsistent, so I usually go elsewhere now.
