Really tasty dim sum here. It was my third visit. I particularly liked the steam squid in shrimp paste. The squid was thick and the sauce was just right and not too salty. The deep fried chive dumplings was my favorite as it was stuffed with chives. The fried dough is a rare offering (at most restaurants) and I was only able to have it because my table was close the the kitchen entrance. First time to visit and will definitely go back. I was told the pigeon is their signature dish, hence, I chose it as my main course. Freshly baked brioch with creamy and addictive mentaiko butter spread.Octopus on top of essence tomatoes - octopus was tender and the tomato essence was light and refreshing.Spinach pancake sandwiched with tuna and soup in the shell - the idea was interesting but I thought this dish was average when it came to taste. Lobster cooked to perfection - it was problem 80% cooked, hence, really tender and a bit crisp in texture. The lobster bisque foam was rich in flavor 👍Pigeon thigh topped with crispy chicken skin - the thigh was well seasoned and the crispy chicken skin added an extra layer of texture to this dish.Medium rare pigeon breast served with beet roots, and caramelized onions and pigeon liver (hiding under the beet roots) - no wonder it is the signature dish. Came here for lunch with a bunch of friends and it was my first time. We ordered quite a number of dishes and the ones stood out most were the following:1) Fresh lily bulbs salad - each piece was crisp and sweet (清甜);they must have used 8-10 large lily bulbs for this dish - not one piece had blemish knowing they could be bruised easily.🤩2) Sautéed pork kidney - the knife skill alone was top notch and the semi-spicy brown sauce with chili went well with the kidney (tender and 爽脆)👍3) Chives stir fried with shredded hard tofu (韭菜豆干)- again the wok fry fragrance filled the room. The hard tofu was silky. Think I ate 1/3 of the dish 🤩4) Chinese squash and tofu in casserole- the homemade tofu had intense soybean flavor. And the texture was semi hard and quite silky in texture. The soup itself was flavorful 👍forgot to take a photo5) Rice in clay pot - I was told that the glutinous rice was steamed and dried once before hydrating and cooking it again the second time. The end result was less starchy rice with intense flavor. The rice was cooked with preserved pork, potato, chives, etc. 6) the cabbage florets marinated in Sichuan peppercorn and vinegar was really refreshing 👍The duck soup was rich and I highly recommend it if price is not a consideration. Big fan of this place. Went recently and still very good. 1) Jelly fish - I like their balance between aged vinegar one sweetness. And the jelly fish itself is of top quality - got a crisp to it 2) Chicken in chili sauce - authentic flavor w good balance of “Ma La” - chili and Sichuan peppercorn 3) Sliced beef and ox tongue - authentic Sichuan flavor 4)Fish fillet in hot chili oil水煮魚 - intense aroma of peppercorn and chili 5)Beef rib - very tender and juicy. The seasoning was just right. Impressive rice set and sashimi set

Lost track how many times I’ve had lunch here already. Always went with 12-14 piece sashimi lunch set. Today, one friend chose to have the rice set. And wow wow wow, it was impressive. She chose the beef, eel and unagi for her set. The beef bowl really stood out. I could smell the beef 3 seats away. The eel was equally tasty according to my friend. For me, I went with 12 pieces today and as always, fantastic and swimming fresh sashimi !!! Went with the Chef Specialties Lunch. 1) warm lobster salad Lobster meat was succulent and tender. Potato foam went well with the lobster because taste was mild. 2) 3 course appetizersThe sashimi was fresh and the vinaigrette sauce was refreshingThe tamago roll and the fish paste roll got the right texture - moist and softCorn tempura - batter was very light; outside was corn and inside was shrimp paste.3) Miyazaki Wagyu sukiyaki The beef was of top quality. Very tender and silky. But unfortunately the sukiyaki sauce was beyond salty !!! Sort of ruined the dish. Ambience - tables are spaced generously. The open kitchen had about 10 seats. Decor is elegant and simple. Service - server was polite and every dish was explained well. On balance I would still recommend coming back despite my disappointment in the sukiyaki. The fish and chips - batter was quite light and not oily. Chips were wide-cut wedges fried just long enough. The spicy sausage rigatoni was well seasoned. Pasta was al dente and the taste was becoming a bit salty towards the end.The fish burger was juicy and tender. Not overcooked. Came across this newly opened restaurant and decided to give it a try. Being a Peking Duck lover, I found their duck was surprisingly better than 北京的全聚德, 大董, 四季民福和香港的北京樓, 羲和小館; and can rival 北京的全鴨季1949 Duck de Chine (Michelin Plate).I ordered half a duck for $230. Top layer of skin was crisp with honeycomb texture. Best to eat with just a sprinkle of sugar. Ate the rest of the duck with “paper thin” pancake. I was told by the manager that their chef came from Beijing and each duck is hung air dried for 5 days under temp control before serving. No wonder ... duck skin was crisp but not greasy, and the meat was juicy and tender.👍👍👍Soup dumplings 小籠包 6 for $18!!!! They definitely can rival 台北鼎泰豐Ding Tai Fung和明月湯包. Dumpling skin was paper thin and inside was packed with soup.👍👍👍The pan fried beef pie was tasty and also very juicy inside.👍👍Also ordered jelly fish and stir fired shredded celtuce 萵筍. Quite good 👍As for dessert, the manager recommend the deep fried mochi with hawthorn paste. Great way to end the meal.PS. Went back for a second time a week later. Came here for the Golden Library set menu and I was not disappointed at all. Quite a few of my favorite dishes were there andI also got to try a few new dishes. Best dish of the night had to be the wok seared Angus beef tenderloin. It was juicy, tender and well seasoned !!! Second best had to be the crispy egg plant. It was indeed crisp and tasty.It was my first time to try the shredded beef wrapped in lotus leaf. It was light and quite good. Needed a place to chill out for a couple hours. Found this place by the escalator. Ordered draft HKYau Pale Ale, apple soda and the House wings. Beer was ice cold and had a bit of fruity taste to it. Came across this Taiwanese eatery today and decided to give it a try. Wow, I really enjoyed my lunch here.We ordered the beef and tendon in spicy soup, and fried pork chop in pork bone soup. Also had Taiwanese popcorn chicken as a side dish. Most impressive was the noodles. It was thin noodles and got a chewy bite to it. The shop keeper told me they make the noodles in-house based on the formula developed in Taiwan. The noodle soup, beef and tendon were also good. Soup was rich yet light. Beef and tendon were tender but each piece remained intact. The pop corn chicken was not oily at all so I could tell the oil temp was just right. It was moist and tender.The bubble tea was also good. Happy Pancake is better than Flipper’s

Was shopping at Hysan the other day and found this pancake place. Decided to give it a try given no queue at the time. The place is situated next to the escalator and can probably seat 20-25 people. Unlike Happy Pancake’s see thru huge window panels, the kitchen’s work table area is blocked by opague window film. Kitchen is quite small and I noticed there are fewer pancake cookpads. I tried the Kiseki pancake (original) and had an iced Latte. It took about 20 mins for the pancakes to arrive. The pancake is smaller in size when compared to Happy Pancake. The texture is also not as fluffy in my opinion. The iced latte was not too strong, smooth and quite good. I will probably go back to Happy Pancake again next time instead of this place. …查看更多

There were six of us and we had to go with the set menu. Considering the food we had, $500 was good value for money. The place was cozy and service was friendly. Corkage was $250/bottle. Snack:-Shrimp toast, house pickled onions, salmon roe: love this appetizer with the extra touch of roe on top the shrimp toast. -Chicken Liver Mousse, Iberico Ham, Honey Madeleines: sweet and savory combo. Liver and ham went well together. The Madeleine was spongy and moist.Starters:-Yunnan Morels In Soya Bean Hummus: one of the best (if not the best) hummus served in HK. The consistency and the flavor were both spot on. The morels had intense flavor and gave the hummus an extra kick.-Foie gras stuffed chicken wings, sweet and sour sauce: wing was crisp on the outside and tender inside. -Spicy creamy clams with black bean chive oil: generous portion of clams. Didn’t think it jived with the set menu. Flavor was more like a SE Asian dish despite the black bean ....-Beef tartare: coarsely chopped; simply delicious with the sourdough. Plenty of yolk to coat the beef. Main:-Signature roasted French spring chicken, glutinous rice stuffing- served in a cast iron pot. Chicken was tender and well marinated. The rice was not too sticky.
