Churros are one of the most-liked snacks in Hong Kong these days. The traditional flavor – crispy churros with cinnamon on top, alone is memorable enough.   Although Churros are still the main theme of this restaurant, the combinations and the styles of food are entirely different. Churros are usually regarded as snacks and something sweet to many people, but ‘Joo De Rolls’ has broken this kind of traditional barriers by putting churros on dining tables, serving not only sweet snacks and desserts, but also main dishes and savories. 

The most interesting dish of ‘Joo De Rolls’ is Churros Dog.

 Churros are turned into a hotdog in this case, in which a Frankfurt sausage is placed in between two crispy churros with tomato sauce, mayonnaise and mustard sauce on top. Simple but delicious. Vegetable salad together with Japanese sesame dressing is also served, which gives a refreshing taste to the whole dish. I never expected that churros could be in a form of savories; the dish has really surprised me. 

Churros Tapas is another signature that really worths a try.

 It is possible to try 4 different flavors of churros in one dish. These flavors are  tiramisu, matcha, salted caramel and strawberry respectively. Each churro is rolled into a donut shape which makes it look adorable and delicate. Churros are  crispy because they are deep-fried right after receiving orders. Each tapa is also served with smooth cream, rich sauce and special ingredients. Salted caramel is the most impressive and outstanding flavor among all. 

Another dish that has also impressed me is the Strawberry Churros because of its elegant presentation.

 I  cannot keep my eyes off when this eye-catching dish comes to us. Its scrumptious appearance definitely fits our ‘camera-eats-first’ society today. There are 4 churros in total that are presented in a flower shape, with fresh strawberries, strawberry sauce and generous portion of silky soft cream in the middle. This crispy churros are indulgently sweet and the fresh strawberries do a good counterbalance to the sugar.
