Cold bar- Sushi rice had refrigerated texture but the fish/eel was ok. The smoked salmon is really elevated by the accompanying sauce and red onions. I eat this everytime. Made to order- Green pea risotto with truffle. This was good the risotto cooked to the right firmness and the flavours were a good balance of creaminess, tang from shaved parmesan and earthiness from truffle paste. Made to order- Green pea risotto with truffle. This was good the risotto cooked to the right firmness and the flavours were a good balance of creaminess, tang from shaved parmesan and earthiness from truffle paste.
Warm items- The chilli oil here is yum I took the dim sum and fried rice just to eat chilli oil. It is a savoury and quite sour chilli oil. The BBQ pork looked dreadful but it turned out juicy and tasty. The other stuff was not memorable although the crumbed fish was surprisingly moist inside.
Dessert- The tart here is always nice. Serradura was not great. Pannacotta fared better with a nice milky taste. Cheesecake was fresh, an acceptable rendition. Black Forest moist and light in texture and sweetness. I added extra chocolate sauce and the sauce is good. Overall the quality of sweets at this lounge is high without the highly processed taste of many lounge buffet desserts.
