Lucky us that we went to visit this shop again with a surprise Winter Set for HKD438 for 3, but 4 of us joining tonight still have to take something home... quite a value set (... we did add 1 more Wagyu as we are all Carnivore ) The shop is famous of Hainanese cuisine, in which coconut and chicken will surely give you a different taste... Half of the chicken was put in the coconut shop (as described by the manger, the soup base was made from purely 2+1 young coconut juice), and it will take around 6-7 mins to get the perfect texture of the yummy chicken... texture was not just tender, but quite smooth too... very very nice.
While we are waiting the chicken, the set does come with something we can go direct ... Salmon Sashimi...quite a caring offer. Salmon was not bad, not strong taste but still fresh..
The Winter Set also comes with premium selection of US Sirloin, which is great for those who loves strong beef taste ... I really like it as compared to the fatty Wagyu, it's actually more suitable for steak lover...
... and some nice vegetables and mushrooms... I particularly like their selection of mushroom, which is a very good mix with the coconut soup, as they can absorb the favour at the same time, adding some sweet taste into the soup...
and my favourite meat balls... and don't underestimate it, these are spongy meat balls, with a very strong mushroom favour... love it.
Udon is also offered for those who might need some starchy at night... but not for me...
The portion that the Set offered is quite big, but we just need some more meat, and so, we tried the 2 Japanese Wagyu to compliment the nice coconut soup ... This A5 Wagyu Ribeye is very soft in texture, and it does melt quickly after 5 sec of cooking in the hot pot... the fat will make you feel so satisfied ... but I have to say the beef taste itself is not that strong.Overall, we spent just around HKD230 per head ... which is quite a nice value set we can get for 4.... I need to come back to have another round with the added Seafood plate...
