Finished running some errands at K11 Musea and decided to grab lunch with friend before heading back to office. Since it was still early friend wanted to try the chicken rice from Singapore everybody was talking about. No need to queue. We both ordered the chicken rice with $10 extra for thighs. Portion was generous but honestly tasted no different from the Hainan chicken thigh rice from other decent eateries. Soup wasn’t anything WOW and neither were the sauce nor the rice. The chicken rice I tried in the market stalls in Singapore were definitely more impressive. And cheaper too. Halfway through my meal I suddenly recalled that I had ordered takeaway before from the Chatterbox outlet in QB near my office- my colleague ordered chicken rice and I ordered chicken thigh with rice. My portion then was definitely not as generous as this one today; and we couldn’t tell then which was normal chicken pieces and which one was chicken thigh. In summary: nothing special, prob won’t return.
